She was very competitively priced, actually the cheapest of all the places we went to. She was very easy to work with! She has a passion for what she does. Our cake tasted great! We've been going here for years. Many a cake, cookies and cupcakes have been bought and enjoyed. Lately, their items have smelled AND tasted like play dough. Stop and remember what play dough smells like...that is exactly what our almond cupcakes tasted like. They were not pleasant to say the least. We called-no exchanges, no money back and no apology. This is not the first time that we have had unsatisfactory baked goods. We bought cookies and they crumbled as soon as you picked them up. Maybe frozen then thawed? We've bought items that the frosting tasted old and had separated. Again, no returns and no apology. Their hours are really awful. If you are retired or don't work during the day then you can visit this place without problem. For people who work 9-5 forget it. It's Saturday or nothing. I really didn't want to leave a negative review. It makes me sad that this wonderful bakery has gone downhill lately. What a shame. We will need to find another bakery. read more

We've trusted Cake Lady for two major events -- our wedding, and my husband's dad's 90th birthday party. Both times, they've come through beautifully. The cakes are delicious, with a wonderful crumb and perfectly moist. The frosting is rich, smooth and flavorful -- the antithesis of store-bought cakes so loaded with sugar that they're crunchy. And the decorations are lovely. With just a general direction from my husband for his dad's cake -- incorporate golf and the colors of the Italian flag -- they came up with a decoration that delighted his dad and the guests. The prices are quite reasonable. We can't recommend Cake Lady highly enough, and will be glad to use their business in the future. read more

Purchased a cake here for my grandmother's 90th birthday celebration. I ordered the white almond cake for 50 people. It was gorgeously decorated and so amazingly tasty, my family was lining up to take home leftovers. This cake was light years better than anything you'll find at Johnny's or the market and was priced almost the same. I can't rave about this cake enough. More than just a great cake, though, the staff delivered superior service too. Since I live in San Francisco and was only going to be in Canton one day before the party, this was critical. They took my order over the phone, "talked me in" with directions on my cell phone when I got turned around on Main Street, and helped load the cake into my car when I finally got there. My family discovered the Cake Lady for my first communion 12 years ago and have been ordering from her since. Her frosting is out of this world, and this is coming from someone who normally avoids all types of frosting. She is very willing to work with you on the cake decorations, and does fabulous work. Her chocolate cakes can be a little dry; I would recommend sticking to vanilla or marble, they are fantastic! She also makes great cookies and cupcakes as well. I'm not a cake expert, but I think her prices are very reasonable, almost everyone I know orders from her, she can't be beat! read more

Based on the only review of this business, I ordered a cake for a big milestone birthday. If the taste of her cake is anything like the way she decorated, I'm in trouble. It looks like a 2-year old did it. I am going to be mortified to show this at the party. I should have used my original thought to use Rachel in Hartville, but I wanted to save some time driving there to pick it up. MY BIG MISTAKE!
