It is not rigid and the staff are kind, caring and very considerate. I've not had a single I negative encounter here and indeed, I am healing and gaining the coping skills I need to recover my life. The private chef prepared food is superb. There are regular classes with a personal trainer, nutritionist, and several consistent modalities of addiction recovery excursions and classes II find helpful. It's up to each person what treasures can be dug from the grace of active addiction at this recovery center. It is not easy, but New Dawn is a genuinely good place to start the work. The enthusiastic sobriety approach to working the 12 steps of AA makes the counseling process relatable and unintimidating. The kids also develop a peer group of like-minded kids who are striving for long term sobriety and healthier living. They hold each other accountable and truly love on another. The counselors are all in recovery and can honestly and effectively speak their language. My loved one tried and failed to get sober a few times and it finally "clicked" when he found Pathway. They also have a sister program in Arizona that provides outstanding inpatient treatment. In addition, Pathway has a parent support group that meets weekly to help parents and guardians of addicts cope with the stress and chaos that is often the result of living with and caring for someone struggling with a substance abuse problem. It is a group of parents who have come together with common struggles to support each other and find solutions to the extremely exhausting and confusing reality of loving an addict.

He was speaking to the football team about techniques for improving the mental game. He was spot on and had a direct and positive impact on our team. I decided to try going to him for help with my life long "eating" disorder. I tried multiple therapists and in-network Kaiser sponsored people and it was one dismal failure after another. I was not hopeful that anyone could give me the tools needed to aid me in the battle I had with myself for control. He gave me an amazing tool set and it was simple! It is also incredibly effective at helping me stay on top of my behaviors. It is no lie when I tell you that he changed my life. He is thoughtful, calm, and speaks clearly. His office is clean and light, and conducive to you absorbing the information he is giving. Not Nate! We were so pleased with our stay that we were quite sad to leave! Alona, Rachel, and Bree were all so helpful and giving us extra care and attention.
