Since NorCal took over the Modesto office they have made my mother's life a living hell! She no longer has a doctor/patient relationship with her doctor and have recently forced her to use a medical dispenser. Despite keeping all her appts, passing every single drug test. She fractured a vertebrae recently and they refuse to give her medication for that pain. She has been on pain medication for years because of her chronic pain condition and never once abused the treatment. Yet she is being treated as though she is a junkie! This company shows no compassion or empathy for their patients and should not be in the medical field. The office itself is its own brand of dysfunction. After being bounded around by Community Medical Center (CMC) Referral team (San Joaquin) for over 7 weeks, NorCal took matters into their own hands and got the ball rolling. They called CMC directly and within 2 hours got everything straight so I can get the medical help I need. Saw Dr. Ahmed in the Lodi office. Was very unprofessional with his gum chewing. I tried to explain a symptom of numbness in my thighs, and he shut me down and said that wasn't from my back. All he wanted to do is give me pills. Went to Dr. Gahndi with Alpine Orthopedic in Stockton, and first thing he said was the numbness is from my back. Norcal had none of my mri images either. By far, one of the worst medical experiences I've ever had. Will not recommend to anyone. read more

If you need to talk to the provider you have the call the front desk and hope they answer. They have a one size fits all approach when it comes to medication dosing and will not consider how different medical conditions affect metabolism. We've had to call and say that treatment isn't working it they'd never get back to you. My husband called them several times a day for weeks while working full time and they never called back. When we asked if there's a different way to contact them, the provider said "just keep calling. We get several hundred calls a day". They never went over the contract when opening their new practice when Dr. Rhodes of Central Valley Pain Management retired and closed the practice, you just signed an electronic signature pad. This causes a lot of problems. For example: it's a dischargeable offense to not provide a urine sample every appointment. If something is enough of an offense that they can kick you out, the receptionists should not be saying "that's ok, have a good day!" And smile as you leave. They're also incredibly slow. I usually end up there for 1-2 hours just to see the provider for 10 mins. One time I had to wait 4 hours just to pee in a cup. And with the contract and answering their phones, one time I came home from a long hospital stay with a different medication because the other one stopped working and the provider was furious that it was from someone else. We'd been calling for days to update them because I couldn't continue the meds they'd prescribed. Like what else am I supposed to do?? Throw out the medication prescribed by the hospital and go through withdrawals?! They referred me to a different practice for a pain pump, and now every appt is refill meds and "we won't do anything until after you get that pump" which isn't even a part of that practice. Patients names have just become a checklist of who needs to get pushed out the door, not who they are going to help. Very disappointing read more

One of the worst places I've ever been to. My surgeon ordered a nerve block. Their doctor said I needed an epidural instead, and because I was in so much pain I went with it. After the epidural, I have managed to get more pain and then was told they couldn't see me till four weeks later knowing how much pain I was in due to the fact that I cannot tolerate any pain medicine of any kind, but they didn't care The staff is rude and uncaring. And I will never go there again! It's funny it's called pain management and to a certain extent it's true. They managed to give me more pain than I came in with. read more

The staff treats everyone like we are in a methadone clinic. The reception staff are trained in rudeness. I had x-ray after x-ray. They implied I was hustling drugs and refused to help me. They missed the compression fractures in my back. There were 3. The chiropractors I visited afterward both easily found the fractures. These people are incompetent and power trip because they have the ability to end the suffering of a patient. They'd rather treat everyone like a junky in a methadone clinic. read more

I have had two procedures done at the office and I am finally on my road to recovery they have helped me so much. They will tell you they don't give out disability papers because yhey don't think its condusive to recovery but, then they also don't keep hours that will allow you to work a normal shift. Also most of the time when i find out i owe them any money, it will be when they tell me they are about to cut me off from treatment. They are not the right people for the job at all. i usually work nights and have left a note in my file not to call me after a certain time in the morning but, of course they always do. The MD is fine , quick and out however, the office staff is disinterested in patient care. Most times i go in they're busy chatting with each other, flirting with the limited young male staff or ignoring the small cramped office space. I have been asked to sign paperwork for another patient and then called back to sign the same paperwork within 1 minute and the same girl didn't even recognize that I was THE SAME PERSON, the office manager had to come to my defense ! If you are trying to reach someone to send your insurance re-authorization FORGET IT I called waited 20 minutes to which I was told emphatically," I will send it out in few minutes once e hang up ". That was before noon by 4 o clock in the afternoon still nothing and OFFICE CLOSES so early that no one can follow up so no meds , no refill and it's Friday and guess what no one cares until they demand your drug screen and wonder why your level is low. Make sure you don't just sign the black box ! Get a copy each time you sign a pain management contract. If you dont let them know of any slightest med change then they kick you off the program. They don't always ask so you have to remember an the meds don't have to have anything to do with pain or anything. If its ozempic an you don't tell them an they don't ask it is one of 3 times you are allowed before they dump you with NO recourse . No old meds you have had before can be found in your system an even something like neuropathy meds or Tylenol PM. Get a hard copy don't let them say they will email it. They said that the printer is out. For 4 years? Hmm looking back They never have or did email me it . I to this day don't know what they had me sign as far as pain management contract went . I trusted them. Bad mistake on my part. I have only ever had meds in my system that were prescribed by them or by sutter Health .It started off all well and fine but got sour it seems once insurance was done paying for all those injections . Have been a patient of NorCal Pain Treatment for five months. The Dr has offered me many kinds of pain management including injections, medications and braces. Last month there was some confusion, on my part, involving medication refills. Called the office and yes I was on hold for a bit, but the person I spoke to was very kind and helpful. After calling my pharmacy she was able to clear up the confusion and I was able to pick up my refill that same afternoon. DO NOT GO HERE! This clinic is full of BS. Every single time I have had a urinalysis done, the dr states medications are never in my system. How? I have recorded myself by taking a video of me taking them and they still said my urine came back clean. What in the actual fluff!?!? He said my urine is so clean, marijuana doesn't even show in it and I use my CBD with THC tincture every day as well. Something is not right with this place! I have been dealing with chronic pain for 11 years, 4 surgeries, and recently found out I have EDS. Do you think this clinic cares? Nope. They also only deal with medications and they don't refer you out to get help with anything. Also, you can only pick one injury or condition because the clinic only deals with ONE problem you have. Like excuse me? I have MULTIPLE chronic conditions how the heck can you tell me to only pick one??? NOT COOL!!! Another issue is they don't see me in person and had nerve to write down I don't have edema and I don't deal with anxiety and depression ALL FALSE. Who the heck is writing these notes!?!?! I had to call them to send me notes so I could highlight the wrong areas in the notes and I was floored with what I read. Nothing but false statements that didn't match and LIES. I've had edema for 11 years and have been dealing with anxiety and depression since my first surgery in 2011! The doctor named Joe is so rude and threatens you when your urine comes back unexpectedly clean. I told them I took videos for proof and they ignored it and still proceeded with "I would have to stop all prescriptions" which is absolutely ridiculous. I made an appointment with my old clinic over an hour away from home at Stanford Pain Clinic where they actually help people! This place should be shut down due to false urine readings and untrue statements about my physical state. I am beyond disgusted with this clinic! read more

the first injection for lower back pain hit a nerve and I did not opt for sedation and there was severe pain in my leg so I decided on my second procedure to have sedation, I took a uber there and plan planned to take a uber afterwards but was told I couldn't and a person waiting for his wife said he would give me a ride home. And I was told he could not give me a ride so I was not able to do the procedure and had to walk five miles home in the rain. read more

NorCal Pain Management in Turlock is wonderful they treat you with respect and truly listen to what you are feeling. I have been dealing with pain in my back for over 25 years. Dr. Lindenberg and his staff have helped to treat my pain with medications, and injections. I have suffered with sever arthritis in my back and hips, along with degenerative back disease, sciatica, and scoliosis which worsened recently. My last two injections have helped me to have some mobility that I didn't have before and a little less pain with medications. Nothing will ever be 100% pain relief when you suffer... but Dr. Lindenberg and his assistance Harjett have truly listened to where my pain exists and have assisted me with some relief for the first time in years. All the staff from the front desk, to customer assistance on the phone have been so kind. The staff in the Procedure area treat you with such respect and kindness.
