I came here bc I use to come back in the day in the early 2000's, boy things have changed bc this place is shaaady!!! I came in to get one tires changed and I never get used tires, but I have to save some money due to unforeseen circumstances. Anyhow, the guy working here said yea, I got a couple tires for you, check them out. He shows me a set of Bridgestone and a Hancock tire. I said ok cool, no brainer I'll take the one Bridgestone. He says ok $70, I rebuttal come on $60. He says nope these are name brands, and he says the owner is gonna be here soon and he's gonna charge you $75. I still say $60 and he refuses so I give in and that's that. Mind you, at the time I didn't think about it but he took me into the tire shed where it was dark and couldn't really see the tires that good. Well, he puts the tire on and he's working super fast and feverishly and he keeps looking at me and I'm thinking what's with this guy? So, while I'm waiting I look at my other tire and it needs changing as well so I say, you know what just put the other Bridgestone on which he does and I'm thinking damn I'm getting a deal! Wrong! I text my uncle (mechanic) the Bridgestone tire deal and he says take a closer pic of the tire thread and luckily I did. He said return them you're getting Jacked! I'm like what???? He says those tires have dry rot and are gonna cause you a pop. Return them now!!!!! Coincidentally, guess who happens to pull up, the owner! So, I go back to the shed where they're both @ and I say hey come check out the tires. So taking initiative the owner comes with me I ask, What's this? He rubs the tire and makes a B-line to the shed and 5 minutes later emerges with 2 other Bridgestone tires and I'm like wtf? Why didn't the guy show me these before? The owners says I don't know? I take a look at them and take a pic to send to my uncle and my uncle says yes these ones are better, take em! I let the owner know and he's like perfecto! It's gonna be $75 each and I'm like huh? He reiterates, yea $75 I said I was charged $65 for those 2 and both are used and he says these are better with a gleam in his face like he just won something. I said forget this, take both of them off,I'm done with these games, I'm out!!!! He said fine I'm going to charge you $20 per tire to get off I said what???? That's ridiculous!!! He said yep we worked to them on and that's why I charge to take them off. I said I'm not paying you a cent. He says fine then you're paying me for those tires, I said no I'm not! I said that's ok I'll take them off myself and I walk away. He stops me and says look these tires are better. Look at them! Takes them out of the dark shed and makes me see them. I'm like look I just came in for one tire but I'm not trying to get scammed. This conversation that turned into a small argument goes on for 5 minutes with another patron there and finally he says $70 and that's that! I say screw this, put them on. I don't need this! The tires were after all decent but didn't want to exert more energy into this so that's why i gave in. Anyhow, that was my Saturday morning here at this establishment.
