Customer service was a solid 10/10. They handled everything quickly and professionally I was in and out in less than 6 minutes, which is honestly impressive. Getting into the shop is a little tight, but the guy working there did a great job guiding me in and out, so it wasn't a problem at all. Price-wise, I'd say 8/10. I paid $65 for a used tire I feel like it could've been a little cheaper, but I was in a tight situation and needed something fast, so I didn't negotiate. Overall, great experience. I came here bc I use to come back in the day in the early 2000's, boy things have changed bc this place is shaaady!!! I came in to get one tires changed and I never get used tires, but I have to save some money due to unforeseen circumstances. Anyhow, the guy working here said yea, I got a couple tires for you, check them out. He shows me a set of Bridgestone and a Hancock tire. I said ok cool, no brainer I'll take the one Bridgestone. He says ok $70, I rebuttal come on $60. He says nope these are name brands, and he says the owner is gonna be here soon and he's gonna charge you $75. I still say $60 and he refuses so I give in and that's that. Mind you, at the time I didn't think about it but he took me into the tire shed where it was dark and couldn't really see the tires that good. Well, he puts the tire on and he's working super fast and feverishly and he keeps looking at me and I'm thinking what's with this guy? So, while I'm waiting I look at my other tire and it needs changing as well so I say, you know what just put the other Bridgestone on which he does and I'm thinking damn I'm getting a deal! Wrong! I text my uncle (mechanic) the Bridgestone tire deal and he says take a closer pic of the tire thread and luckily I did. He said return them you're getting Jacked! I'm like what???? He says those tires have dry rot and are gonna cause you a pop. Return them now!!!!! Coincidentally, guess who happens to pull up, the owner! So, I go back to the shed where they're both @ and I say hey come check out the tires. So taking initiative the owner comes with me I ask, What's this? He rubs the tire and makes a B-line to the shed and 5 minutes later emerges with 2 other Bridgestone tires and I'm like wtf? Why didn't the guy show me these before? The owners says I don't know? I take a look at them and take a pic to send to my uncle and my uncle says yes these ones are better, take em! I let the owner know and he's like perfecto! It's gonna be $75 each and I'm like huh? He reiterates, yea $75 I said I was charged $65 for those 2 and both are used and he says these are better with a gleam in his face like he just won something. I said forget this, take both of them off,I'm done with these games, I'm out!!!! He said fine I'm going to charge you $20 per tire to get off I said what???? That's ridiculous!!! He said yep we worked to them on and that's why I charge to take them off. I said I'm not paying you a cent. He says fine then you're paying me for those tires, I said no I'm not! I said that's ok I'll take them off myself and I walk away. He stops me and says look these tires are better. Look at them! Takes them out of the dark shed and makes me see them. I'm like look I just came in for one tire but I'm not trying to get scammed. This conversation that turned into a small argument goes on for 5 minutes with another patron there and finally he says $70 and that's that! I say screw this, put them on. I don't need this! The tires were after all decent but didn't want to exert more energy into this so that's why i gave in. Anyhow, that was my Saturday morning here at this establishment. I came to this tire shop with both of my children. The man charged me $50 to patch my tire, but after I left, I noticed there was still another nail in the same tire he claimed to have repaired. I returned and politely asked him to fix it properly for my safety. After he finished, he tried to charge me an additional $30. I told him that wasn't okay because I had already paid for the repair. He then began insulting me, cursing at me in Spanish, and saying very disrespectful things while my children were in the car. He was holding a tool in his hand, walked toward me aggressively, and continued acting in a threatening and disrespectful manner. Not only did he overcharge me, but he also failed to fix the problem and frightened my children. I would not recommend this business based on my experience. Went to this place 10 days ago to get a slow leak patched and paid $20 for the patch. Went back today to advise owner my tire after being patched is still leaking. He took the tire off and said will look at it. He found that tire is still leaking (same spot). I said that where the first patch is right, he said yea I'll fix it. Before he started repair, I asked him what caused the first patch to fail but I did not get an answer from him. Then he did the repair and after the repair he said that'll be $20! I said wait a minute, that the same spot as the previous repair and he denied it but when he showed me the leak there was no nail or anything on the tire. I asked him to show me the different holes he claim I had but he refused and asked for $20. After arguing with him for 10 minutes, he told me to leave. THIS GUY TRIED TO SCAM ME FOR ANOTHER $20 FOR A REPAIR HE DID 10 DAYS PRIOR. Be mindful about going to this tire shop, you may get scammed!! read more

I got referred to this place, saying they do good work. With the experience I have today 2/27/2023 it was not good. They did a terrible job mounting my wheels. My rims got scratches on all 4. They don't have the proper machine to mount custom rims and tires. They can do the work but will damage your rims if you have custom wheels. The owner was not professional at all when I asked if he damaged my rims. He continued to lied saying he did do it and wanted me to pay him. I never said anything of not paying him. I just asked and showed him that he damaged my rims. I had before pictures of the rims before it was not mount. He had nothing to say but continued saying "you better pay me or else you can't leave". All I wanted for him was to say I'm sorry and just be honest like real business man. I paid him and give his helper tips for damaging my rims. I told him, "karma will hit him for lying and doing bad business. I should of went to Performance Plus like I always do. So lesson learned for me. read more

I remember i was involved in a scam here where you would pull up in the driveway. I looked the guy asking if i could get tires and he said yes back up. A little car speeding up which i couldn't see pulled up RIGHT behind me to the point that if i even backed up an couple of inches i would hit him which i did due to the guy saying back up back up. I woke up with a flat tire today and being very early in the day it was great that Silvia's was open! The man which I unfortunately forgot his name now... he's been there 7 years when I asked... he did a great job to fix the tire and explain to me why my main tire was bad now.. it had dents compared to the first one just a small hole in it. Great job, SUPER FAST AT HIS JOB btw I walked in and there was 3 customers before me but it took him like 15 mins to get us all out of there! Woo! Young guy broke a bolt off and the owner refuse to pay for damages citing that my bolts were too old. It was a 2010 car and this happened in 2017. Gave me $5 off my tire. I went to M and M tires and they said that too much torque was applied and my bolts were fine. Sent me to Rocky's Auto Service next door to M and M and they fixed it without robbing me. If the owner of Silva's Tire had owned up and taken responsibility, they would have had a customer for life and all of my friends. read more

Horrible! I'm always down for a bargain, but this place is a wash! I went here about a year ago for a used tire, thought the price was reasonable ($45), and the tire seemed in good condition. However a couple days later it started losing air, so I took it back, and they replaced it! I was relieved they took it back and gave me another one (most low budget places don't) and because of that, I recently just went to them for another used tire...well tonight I noticed that that tire needed air and since I was far from home I called AAA. The AAA came quick, took off the tire and immediately noticed it was the wrong size (it was a low profile tire) and it needed to be replaced, it was beyond needing air! I will not return to get a replacement tire, instead I will go get a new one. I've learned my lesson! UPDATE I returned to the tire shop this morning to show them the tire they sold me..,at first the guy tried to explain that it was my fault the tire went flat because the rim had a small dent, then it was because he found to small nails in it, then it was because I drove too much?!?! Get your story straight!!!! I guess it has nothing to do with it being the wrong size tire?! Well I learned my lesson! Do yourself a favor and find another tire place! read more

DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE.... Came here two times... First time was very simple. They told me $35 for a used tire. I went across the street to get cash while they replaced my tire. Paid, left. Very easy. 2nd time... I came like 2 weeks later for another tire... the guy working tells me it's $50 bucks for a used tire. I'm like... "$50??? You're crazy. I was here 2 weeks ago and got a used tire for $35." Then he tells me... "ok $40" I just left and went to Pacific Tires on MLK instead I don't know if it's because I'm not a mexican person or what the problem is. But definitely feel discriminated against. These guys run a small shop that is big on customer service. I purchased four new tires online from the big box tire retailer and needed them mounted and balanced by a local, reputable shop. I vowed to stop going to Pep Boys after spending an entire afternoon getting a flat tire replaced. I called Silva's and could tell they knew their stuff over the phone. After getting a quote from Edwin, their shop was reasonably priced compared to the other independent shops in the area. Edwin actually talked me out of a sale and said it would be no problem to bring my own valve stems. I also brought two new OEM wheels I purchased online to replace two aging chrome wheels on my car. Jose installed the wheels, tires and valve stems and recycled the old tires in a little more than an hour. I was happy with their work, and even after leaving a tip with Jose, I still only paid $80. The other review is misleading as there's no "bitch" or woman per se... but their yard is quite small and yes, it does get crowded. I recently had all 4 of my brakes overhauled for about $100 labor after buying my own rotors, pads, drums & shoes and brought the parts in. They saved me $1,000 easily. I bought cheap tires from Pep-Boys while I was away on business and had to replace them in a few months because I'm a road warrior. Trust me. Need a tire but don't want to pay the ridiculous prices some of these other guys want? I just scored a $200 tire for $70 mounted and balanced. OK, the tire is not new but is barely used and matches up with my other tires that I already had on my truck. The firestone joint up the street said "I have to special order this tire". No bullshit. I had been here 2 times and both times in a week to get replacement front tires for my friends SUV. Both times they ignored me and my friend and said they would look to see if they had the tires we needed and we waited an hour for an answer. The first time we just couldn't wait any longer because we had things to do and the second time it just seemed like it was on purpose. Very odd when it takes 5 minutes to look and see if they had the size we needed. We eventually left and went to another place and as you can see ( look at my reviews) I gave them a 5 star review because they were helpful and wanted my business. I'm so sad, but I had not one but two bad experiences here. The first time I had a bad experience, the air kept leaking from the "previously owned" tire I bought from them. My boyfriend went with me to exchange it and the tire he picked out this second time was fine. The next time i needed a tire, we went Back to Silvas and Eek! after only a few days of driving on my "previously owned" tire, i woke up one day to a completely dead tire. :( so sad...I suggest you only buy brand new tires from these guys. read more
