Getting into the shop is a little tight, but the guy working there did a great job guiding me in and out, so it wasn't a problem at all. Price-wise, I'd say 8/10. I paid $65 for a used tire I feel like it could've been a little cheaper, but I was in a tight situation and needed something fast, so I didn't negotiate. Overall, great experience. Went to this place 10 days ago to get a slow leak patched and paid $20 for the patch. Went back today to advise owner my tire after being patched is still leaking. He took the tire off and said will look at it. He found that tire is still leaking (same spot). I said that where the first patch is right, he said yea I'll fix it. Before he started repair, I asked him what caused the first patch to fail but I did not get an answer from him. Then he did the repair and after the repair he said that'll be $20! I said wait a minute, that the same spot as the previous repair and he denied it but when he showed me the leak there was no nail or anything on the tire. I asked him to show me the different holes he claim I had but he refused and asked for $20. After arguing with him for 10 minutes, he told me to leave. THIS GUY TRIED TO SCAM ME FOR ANOTHER $20 FOR A REPAIR HE DID 10 DAYS PRIOR. Be mindful about going to this tire shop, you may get scammed!! read more

I got referred to this place, saying they do good work. With the experience I have today 2/27/2023 it was not good. They did a terrible job mounting my wheels. My rims got scratches on all 4. They don't have the proper machine to mount custom rims and tires. They can do the work but will damage your rims if you have custom wheels. The owner was not professional at all when I asked if he damaged my rims. He continued to lied saying he did do it and wanted me to pay him. I never said anything of not paying him. I just asked and showed him that he damaged my rims. I had before pictures of the rims before it was not mount. He had nothing to say but continued saying "you better pay me or else you can't leave". All I wanted for him was to say I'm sorry and just be honest like real business man. I paid him and give his helper tips for damaging my rims. I told him, "karma will hit him for lying and doing bad business. I should of went to Performance Plus like I always do. So lesson learned for me. read more

I remember i was involved in a scam here where you would pull up in the driveway. I looked the guy asking if i could get tires and he said yes back up. A little car speeding up which i couldn't see pulled up RIGHT behind me to the point that if i even backed up an couple of inches i would hit him which i did due to the guy saying back up back up. The guy got out the car and said that the damage on his car would cost me $200 and wanted me to walk over to north-gate to get $$$ out. I never been back since. They were all in the scam.. read more

I woke up with a flat tire today and being very early in the day it was great that Silvia's was open! The man which I unfortunately forgot his name now... he's been there 7 years when I asked... he did a great job to fix the tire and explain to me why my main tire was bad now.. it had dents compared to the first one just a small hole in it. Great job, SUPER FAST AT HIS JOB btw I walked in and there was 3 customers before me but it took him like 15 mins to get us all out of there! Woo! Young guy broke a bolt off and the owner refuse to pay for damages citing that my bolts were too old. It was a 2010 car and this happened in 2017. Gave me $5 off my tire. I went to M and M tires and they said that too much torque was applied and my bolts were fine. Sent me to Rocky's Auto Service next door to M and M and they fixed it without robbing me. If the owner of Silva's Tire had owned up and taken responsibility, they would have had a customer for life and all of my friends. read more

DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE.... Came here two times... First time was very simple. They told me $35 for a used tire. I went across the street to get cash while they replaced my tire. Paid, left. Very easy. 2nd time... I came like 2 weeks later for another tire... the guy working tells me it's $50 bucks for a used tire. I'm like... "$50??? You're crazy. I was here 2 weeks ago and got a used tire for $35." Then he tells me... "ok $40" I just left and went to Pacific Tires on MLK instead I don't know if it's because I'm not a mexican person or what the problem is. But definitely feel discriminated against. Horrible! I'm always down for a bargain, but this place is a wash! I went here about a year ago for a used tire, thought the price was reasonable ($45), and the tire seemed in good condition. However a couple days later it started losing air, so I took it back, and they replaced it! I was relieved they took it back and gave me another one (most low budget places don't) and because of that, I recently just went to them for another used tire...well tonight I noticed that that tire needed air and since I was far from home I called AAA. The AAA came quick, took off the tire and immediately noticed it was the wrong size (it was a low profile tire) and it needed to be replaced, it was beyond needing air! I will not return to get a replacement tire, instead I will go get a new one. I've learned my lesson! UPDATE I returned to the tire shop this morning to show them the tire they sold me..,at first the guy tried to explain that it was my fault the tire went flat because the rim had a small dent, then it was because he found to small nails in it, then it was because I drove too much?!?! Get your story straight!!!! I guess it has nothing to do with it being the wrong size tire?! Well I learned my lesson! Do yourself a favor and find another tire place! read more

These guys run a small shop that is big on customer service. I purchased four new tires online from the big box tire retailer and needed them mounted and balanced by a local, reputable shop. I vowed to stop going to Pep Boys after spending an entire afternoon getting a flat tire replaced. I called Silva's and could tell they knew their stuff over the phone. After getting a quote from Edwin, their shop was reasonably priced compared to the other independent shops in the area. Edwin actually talked me out of a sale and said it would be no problem to bring my own valve stems. I also brought two new OEM wheels I purchased online to replace two aging chrome wheels on my car. Jose installed the wheels, tires and valve stems and recycled the old tires in a little more than an hour. I was happy with their work, and even after leaving a tip with Jose, I still only paid $80. Ramiro Silva, his son and his shop hands have given me outstanding service and low, low prices. The other review is misleading as there's no "bitch" or woman per se... but their yard is quite small and yes, it does get crowded. I recently had all 4 of my brakes overhauled for about $100 labor after buying my own rotors, pads, drums & shoes and brought the parts in. They saved me $1,000 easily. I bought cheap tires from Pep-Boys while I was away on business and had to replace them in a few months because I'm a road warrior. Trust me. Go here and get a used, Continental, Michelin, Good Year, Pirelli, B.F. Goodrich, Yokohama, whatever you can afford and you'll be amazed what a difference it makes for you! read more

Need a tire but don't want to pay the ridiculous prices some of these other guys want? I just scored a $200 tire for $70 mounted and balanced. OK, the tire is not new but is barely used and matches up with my other tires that I already had on my truck. The firestone joint up the street said "I have to special order this tire". No bullshit. I had been here 2 times and both times in a week to get replacement front tires for my friends SUV. Both times they ignored me and my friend and said they would look to see if they had the tires we needed and we waited an hour for an answer. The first time we just couldn't wait any longer because we had things to do and the second time it just seemed like it was on purpose. Very odd when it takes 5 minutes to look and see if they had the size we needed. We eventually left and went to another place and as you can see ( look at my reviews) I gave them a 5 star review because they were helpful and wanted my business. I'm so sad, but I had not one but two bad experiences here. The first time I had a bad experience, the air kept leaking from the "previously owned" tire I bought from them. My boyfriend went with me to exchange it and the tire he picked out this second time was fine. The next time i needed a tire, we went Back to Silvas and Eek! after only a few days of driving on my "previously owned" tire, i woke up one day to a completely dead tire. :( so sad...I suggest you only buy brand new tires from these guys. read more
