(These events all happened speaking Spanish btw) Be careful here or don't come at all! I came here bc I use to come back in the day in the early 2000's, boy things have changed bc this place is shaaady!!! I came in to get one tires changed and I never get used tires, but I have to save some money due to unforeseen circumstances. Anyhow, the guy working here said yea, I got a couple tires for you, check them out. He shows me a set of Bridgestone and a Hancock tire. I said ok cool, no brainer I'll take the one Bridgestone. He says ok $70, I rebuttal come on $60. He says nope these are name brands, and he says the owner is gonna be here soon and he's gonna charge you $75. I still say $60 and he refuses so I give in and that's that. Mind you, at the time I didn't think about it but he took me into the tire shed where it was dark and couldn't really see the tires that good. Well, he puts the tire on and he's working super fast and feverishly and he keeps looking at me and I'm thinking what's with this guy? So, while I'm waiting I look at my other tire and it needs changing as well so I say, you know what just put the other Bridgestone on which he does and I'm thinking damn I'm getting a deal! Wrong! I text my uncle (mechanic) the Bridgestone tire deal and he says take a closer pic of the tire thread and luckily I did. He said return them you're getting Jacked! I'm like what???? He says those tires have dry rot and are gonna cause you a pop. Return them now!!!!! Coincidentally, guess who happens to pull up, the owner! So, I go back to the shed where they're both @ and I say hey come check out the tires. So taking initiative the owner comes with me I ask, What's this? He rubs the tire and makes a B-line to the shed and 5 minutes later emerges with 2 other Bridgestone tires and I'm like wtf? Why didn't the guy show me these before? The owners says I don't know? I take a look at them and take a pic to send to my uncle and my uncle says yes these ones are better, take em! I let the owner know and he's like perfecto! It's gonna be $75 each and I'm like huh? He reiterates, yea $75 I said I was charged $65 for those 2 and both are used and he says these are better with a gleam in his face like he just won something. I said forget this, take both of them off,I'm done with these games, I'm out!!!! He said fine I'm going to charge you $20 per tire to get off I said what???? That's ridiculous!!! He said yep we worked to them on and that's why I charge to take them off. I said I'm not paying you a cent. He says fine then you're paying me for those tires, I said no I'm not! I said that's ok I'll take them off myself and I walk away. He stops me and says look these tires are better. Look at them! Takes them out of the dark shed and makes me see them. I'm like look I just came in for one tire but I'm not trying to get scammed. This conversation that turned into a small argument goes on for 5 minutes with another patron there and finally he says $70 and that's that! I say screw this, put them on. I don't need this! The tires were after all decent but didn't want to exert more energy into this so that's why i gave in. Anyhow, that was my Saturday morning here at this establishment. So, again fellow yelpers be vaaaarry vaaaary careful. I'm all for helping small businesses and helping me people but shadiness does exist out there. Take care! I added the tire they were going to sell me btw read more

Silva's Tires - The tire they were going to sell me before I said something - Tires Near Me - Long Beach, California

Customer service was a solid 10/10. They handled everything quickly and professionally I was in and out in less than 6 minutes, which is honestly impressive. Getting into the shop is a little tight, but the guy working there did a great job guiding me in and out, so it wasn't a problem at all. Price-wise, I'd say 8/10. I paid $65 for a used tire I feel like it could've been a little cheaper, but I was in a tight situation and needed something fast, so I didn't negotiate. Overall, great experience. Fast, efficient, and reliable. I'd definitely go back. Thank you for the great service! read more

I came to this tire shop with both of my children. The man charged me $50 to patch my tire, but after I left, I noticed there was still another nail in the same tire he claimed to have repaired. I returned and politely asked him to fix it properly for my safety. After he finished, he tried to charge me an additional $30. I told him that wasn't okay because I had already paid for the repair. He then began insulting me, cursing at me in Spanish, and saying very disrespectful things while my children were in the car. He was holding a tool in his hand, walked toward me aggressively, and continued acting in a threatening and disrespectful manner. Not only did he overcharge me, but he also failed to fix the problem and frightened my children. I would not recommend this business based on my experience. Please be careful before coming here. read more

Hands down my new favorite place for tires!! I had a weird bump in my tire, that constantly had a slow leak and didn't feel safe to drive. I brought my car here and was in and out in 20 minutes. The ABSOLUTE best!! read more

And we're back! I spotted a nail in my tire before the air pressure alert went off. Thankfully Silvia's was open and able to take care of me immediately. I don't know if it's because they've helped me so many times over the past year or the fact they go the extra mile to help direct you to back out of their lot but I always feel like I'm safe and in good hands at this spot. If you come here and they fill a hole in your tire, I encourage you to tip the attendant a couple bucks. You'll still pay less (with tip included) than at other spots and you'll help this place and it's employees stay around read more

Great service and great quality!! Competitive pricing! I didn't have my tire locks, was still able to change my tires! Will be coming back

Very good service as always! Thank you I would totally recommend this shop. The repair was fast and with quality read more

Went to this place 10 days ago to get a slow leak patched and paid $20 for the patch. Went back today to advise owner my tire after being patched is still leaking. He took the tire off and said will look at it. He found that tire is still leaking (same spot). I said that where the first patch is right, he said yea I'll fix it. Before he started repair, I asked him what caused the first patch to fail but I did not get an answer from him. Then he did the repair and after the repair he said that'll be $20! I said wait a minute, that the same spot as the previous repair and he denied it but when he showed me the leak there was no nail or anything on the tire. I asked him to show me the different holes he claim I had but he refused and asked for $20. After arguing with him for 10 minutes, he told me to leave. THIS GUY TRIED TO SCAM ME FOR ANOTHER $20 FOR A REPAIR HE DID 10 DAYS PRIOR. Be mindful about going to this tire shop, you may get scammed!! read more

The best place in Long Beach I'm a returning customer, fast and quick service. I always recommend everyone here.

I would come here all the Ike time when I lived around the corner. We moved 5 years about 3 miles away. I had totally forgot about the great service. We had been going to discount tire on Redondo! I'm done dealing with the wait time there ! I'm here now and getting my tire patched. Fast service! read more

I remember i was involved in a scam here where you would pull up in the driveway. I looked the guy asking if i could get tires and he said yes back up. A little car speeding up which i couldn't see pulled up RIGHT behind me to the point that if i even backed up an couple of inches i would hit him which i did due to the guy saying back up back up. The guy got out the car and said that the damage on his car would cost me $200 and wanted me to walk over to north-gate to get $$$ out. I never been back since. They were all in the scam.. read more

I got referred to this place, saying they do good work. With the experience I have today 2/27/2023 it was not good. They did a terrible job mounting my wheels. My rims got scratches on all 4. They don't have the proper machine to mount custom rims and tires. They can do the work but will damage your rims if you have custom wheels. The owner was not professional at all when I asked if he damaged my rims. He continued to lied saying he did do it and wanted me to pay him. I never said anything of not paying him. I just asked and showed him that he damaged my rims. I had before pictures of the rims before it was not mount. He had nothing to say but continued saying "you better pay me or else you can't leave". All I wanted for him was to say I'm sorry and just be honest like real business man. I paid him and give his helper tips for damaging my rims. I told him, "karma will hit him for lying and doing bad business. I should of went to Performance Plus like I always do. So lesson learned for me. read more

I woke up with a flat tire today and being very early in the day it was great that Silvia's was open! The man which I unfortunately forgot his name now... he's been there 7 years when I asked... he did a great job to fix the tire and explain to me why my main tire was bad now.. it had dents compared to the first one just a small hole in it. Great job, SUPER FAST AT HIS JOB btw I walked in and there was 3 customers before me but it took him like 15 mins to get us all out of there! Woo! Awesome service, if I unfortunately need a tire replacement again I'll at least be happy to go here :) read more

Young guy broke a bolt off and the owner refuse to pay for damages citing that my bolts were too old. It was a 2010 car and this happened in 2017. Gave me $5 off my tire. I went to M and M tires and they said that too much torque was applied and my bolts were fine. Sent me to Rocky's Auto Service next door to M and M and they fixed it without robbing me. If the owner of Silva's Tire had owned up and taken responsibility, they would have had a customer for life and all of my friends. read more

Horrible! I'm always down for a bargain, but this place is a wash! I went here about a year ago for a used tire, thought the price was reasonable ($45), and the tire seemed in good condition. However a couple days later it started losing air, so I took it back, and they replaced it! I was relieved they took it back and gave me another one (most low budget places don't) and because of that, I recently just went to them for another used tire...well tonight I noticed that that tire needed air and since I was far from home I called AAA. The AAA came quick, took off the tire and immediately noticed it was the wrong size (it was a low profile tire) and it needed to be replaced, it was beyond needing air! I will not return to get a replacement tire, instead I will go get a new one. I've learned my lesson! UPDATE I returned to the tire shop this morning to show them the tire they sold me..,at first the guy tried to explain that it was my fault the tire went flat because the rim had a small dent, then it was because he found to small nails in it, then it was because I drove too much?!?! Get your story straight!!!! I guess it has nothing to do with it being the wrong size tire?! Well I learned my lesson! Do yourself a favor and find another tire place! read more

DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE.... Came here two times... First time was very simple. They told me $35 for a used tire. I went across the street to get cash while they replaced my tire. Paid, left. Very easy. 2nd time... I came like 2 weeks later for another tire... the guy working tells me it's $50 bucks for a used tire. I'm like... "$50??? You're crazy. I was here 2 weeks ago and got a used tire for $35." Then he tells me... "ok $40" I just left and went to Pacific Tires on MLK instead I don't know if it's because I'm not a mexican person or what the problem is. But definitely feel discriminated against. I won't ever spend a dollar here again. I hope they close down read more

They simply do good work. Good guys. No complaints. Personally I'd rather help out local shops than the big chains

Saw me immediately even though they didn't open till 8 am replaced 2 tires in super record time Highly recommend!!! the only tire shop I have been going to for years Great prices Thank you for being open read more

These guys run a small shop that is big on customer service. I purchased four new tires online from the big box tire retailer and needed them mounted and balanced by a local, reputable shop. I vowed to stop going to Pep Boys after spending an entire afternoon getting a flat tire replaced. I called Silva's and could tell they knew their stuff over the phone. After getting a quote from Edwin, their shop was reasonably priced compared to the other independent shops in the area. Edwin actually talked me out of a sale and said it would be no problem to bring my own valve stems. I also brought two new OEM wheels I purchased online to replace two aging chrome wheels on my car. Jose installed the wheels, tires and valve stems and recycled the old tires in a little more than an hour. I was happy with their work, and even after leaving a tip with Jose, I still only paid $80. Thanks Silva's, I'll be using you again soon! read more

Ditto... Five Stars... In a nutshell, it's a used tire store owned and operated by the Silva family whom I really love because they've always given me rockstar deals! Ramiro Silva, his son and his shop hands have given me outstanding service and low, low prices. The other review is misleading as there's no "bitch" or woman per se... but their yard is quite small and yes, it does get crowded. I recently had all 4 of my brakes overhauled for about $100 labor after buying my own rotors, pads, drums & shoes and brought the parts in. They saved me $1,000 easily. I bought cheap tires from Pep-Boys while I was away on business and had to replace them in a few months because I'm a road warrior. Trust me. Go here and get a used, Continental, Michelin, Good Year, Pirelli, B.F. Goodrich, Yokohama, whatever you can afford and you'll be amazed what a difference it makes for you! read more

Great service and took care of my needs quickly at a very good price! It's nice to have a shop like this local. Thank you!

Quick and easy service every time we come. Guy's are kind, and know what they are doing. The best part is that there cheap !

I was robed !!!! the man told $20 dollars before he put on one tire and once he was finished he said it was $30! I though he was kidding. but he said no no its $30 for this tire. I told him to take it off and he said "no no you pay!" I was on my way to work so I did not have time to get my husband involved. I told the man that I would never come back here again and he laughed and walked away! I don't know if they did this because Im a women or because I am black but this really messed up my day. I felt treated violated! please don't give this business any more money!!! read more

Need a tire but don't want to pay the ridiculous prices some of these other guys want? I just scored a $200 tire for $70 mounted and balanced. OK, the tire is not new but is barely used and matches up with my other tires that I already had on my truck. The firestone joint up the street said "I have to special order this tire". No bullshit. Only thing is this bitch gets mad crowded and space is kinda tight. If youre on a budget like most everyone in the world is... go here if you need some tires. read more

I had been here 2 times and both times in a week to get replacement front tires for my friends SUV. Both times they ignored me and my friend and said they would look to see if they had the tires we needed and we waited an hour for an answer. The first time we just couldn't wait any longer because we had things to do and the second time it just seemed like it was on purpose. Very odd when it takes 5 minutes to look and see if they had the size we needed. We eventually left and went to another place and as you can see ( look at my reviews) I gave them a 5 star review because they were helpful and wanted my business. Like I said it was very odd, the older gentleman hardly spoke any English was just rude and obviously couldn't care for new clients and had a bad attitude and the younger one just glared at us. Just the truth and how obvious it was that you didn't like us for whatever the reason???? read more

I had two flat tires on my Honda Civic Lx, and my spares one wasn't so good either so I needed a good used tires so found out about this place and they sure gave me a good reasonable price on those good used tires that seems to look new. I'm so sad, but I had not one but two bad experiences here. The first time I had a bad experience, the air kept leaking from the "previously owned" tire I bought from them. My boyfriend went with me to exchange it and the tire he picked out this second time was fine. The next time i needed a tire, we went Back to Silvas and Eek! after only a few days of driving on my "previously owned" tire, i woke up one day to a completely dead tire. :( so sad...I suggest you only buy brand new tires from these guys. read more
