I have very complicated TMJ jaw issues and I saw Dr. Hoffman because he came up online as someone…read morewho specializes in TMJ problems. After two visits, I would NOT recommend going here if you have complex jaw issues. My issue is that my discs are displaced and locked, not just that my muscles are sore bc of clenching and griding. Went I first saw Dr. Hoffman, he recommended botox in my masseters and temples. He also recommended a repositioning split. The bill that I was given at that appointment included both the botox and the fitting for the splint which was done at the follow up appointment two weeks later. This was well over $1k. At my follow up appointment, the fitting for the splint took only about 30 seconds which I found concerning. Then i got the price for the splint which was $4k. I did not feel comfortable paying this after a 30 second measurement, so I decided to get a second opinion before moving forward. He also told me that he has only treated this in 5% or less of his patients. Overall, I am very unhappy with my experience here. I felt pressured into spending over $1000 on something that was totally unnecessary. I wish he would have been upfront and honest about his ability to treat my issue and recommended that I go somewhere that is more specialized in TMJ problems.

Your search for the practice accommodating all of your dentistry needs is over! ‍ Special shutout to Monika, Adriana, Amanda, Fachon, Raul, Jasmine, Diana, Catherine and Helen! Schedule the consult, and see it for yourself. @WTDC, thank you for giving me an excellent care and again- for fixing my smile for my beautiful wedding! I could not stop smiling

I've been going to Shoreline Dental and Mollie Rojas for over 2 years now, and everything was fine…read moreup until today. I had a standard cleaning and x-ray check up, and afterwards, Mrs. Rojas checked my x-rays and mentioned that there appears to be potential cavities based on the x-rays. As a preventative measure, she recommended Silver Diamine Fluoride. I never heard of this, and I asked her if there were any side effects. She said it was safe and it's often applied to children (she also added that it was safe in that she applies it to her own son). I took Mrs. Rojas word and she made the first of two applications. I came home and noticed on the bottom of my lip a black mark. After googling Silver Fluoride side effects, one is that it can turn your teeth black and can also blacken the skin. I called up Mrs. Rojas, and asked her why she didn't mention this side effect, especially when I asked her about potential side effects. She said she didn't remember that I asked the question, and that the side effect of blackening teeth/skin is very rare. I was astonished that she said she didn't recall me asking, and even more astonished that she knew of the side effect. The Silver Fluoride requires two applications. I told her that I do not want to be charged and I'm not taking the second application. She said that the side effect is no reason for her not charging me, and that the benefits of preventive cavity treatment outweigh the potential side effects of blackened teeth/skin. This answer from Mrs. Rojas is alarming. Her judgment as a health care professional is off and her ethics are questionable . I can not trust Mrs. Rojas after this experience, and I'm hoping this side effect is not permanent.

I've been to their office for exams, cleanings, fillings, a root canal, crowns, and other procedures. The dentists, hygienists, and assistants are highly knowledgeable, use state-of-the-art equipment, and are kind, patient, and genuinely empathetic. They take the time to listen, answer questions, explain procedures clearly, and make sure I feel comfortable throughout every visit. Two other aspects I appreciate: * Clear communication with an explanation of the issue, a comparison of available options, and an easy-to-understand treatment plan with detailed cost estimates. * On-site services such as same-day crowns and root canals. Dr. Plesh, Jasmine, Kaylee, Oksana and everyone on their staff have been extremely kind and knowledgeable. Wish I could give them more than 5 stars - they are on another level than any other dental practice I've been to.

My dental hygienist, Kaylee, was exceptional, incredibly thorough while still making the cleaning completely painless. She explained everything she was doing and took the time to walk me through additional care options to help get my oral health back on track, which I really appreciated. Dr. Plesh was also very kind and welcoming. I was a little nervous because I had not had a cleaning in over a year, but there was zero judgment. Instead, the focus was on solutions and helping me feel good about improving my gum health moving forward. I will also be starting Invisalign with them to correct some shifting that happened over the past few years, lesson learned about wearing retainers. I definitely recommend Lakeshore East Dental Arts if you are looking for a dental office that combines expertise with genuine care.

I can't say enough good things about this doctor or his staff. He's the only dentist I would trust now. In my first visit, he told me that I would need a crown on my back tooth. I thought he was trying to con me because I'd been to a couple of different dentists for other issues in the past couple years and none had mentioned that before. I got three other opinions of very trusted doctors. All other opinions told me the tooth was fine. One opinion said he would recommend just replacing the filling in the tooth since it was old. I had more x-rays done - everything - everything looked fine. Well, that dentist went in to replace the filling and was very surprised after he took the filling out and realized I did indeed need a crown. He hadn't prepared for a crown so he just did a super deep filling. A few months later I went back to Chicago Smiles to get the crown done and they did a fantastic job. I'd never had one before but had heard stories of sensitivity issues or other issues post-crown. I had none of those. I felt as though he really took his time with me and very much appreciated it. Wouldn't go anywhere else now.

I reached out online and told them how much pain I was in. They took my pain seriously, emailed me back quickly, and booked an appointment for me with short notice. I was embarrassed because I knew my teeth were in bad shape. But everyone I talked to from beginning to end was so warm and friendly that I felt comfortable right away. After Dr. Schoening examined my teeth, I was referred to an oral surgeon (who was also excellent) to deal with some teeth that couldn't be saved. And Dr. Schoening came up with a plan to get my other teeth in good shape. I had a deep cleaning, which must have been a real chore for Dr. Schoening with how bad my teeth were. But Dr. Schoening never made me feel ashamed. He made sure I was physically comfortable as he worked, and he did an excellent job on my teeth. I'm so relieved to have found such an excellent dentist, and the entire team is incredible. My teeth feel and look a lot better. I've got my next appointment scheduled in 3 months, and I plan on coming back again and again. Also, the views from the dentist chairs are fantastic!
