I almost had to walk out of the building out of fear he would cut too much hair off because he said "I don't want to take too much off but hey, hair grows back right?" quite rude on the phone asking to make an appointment he cut he off to say they take walk ins only. his vibe was quite hostile and irritated. definitely not a recommendation for children, seeing as how his methods can feel threatening with the way he handled my neck, I felt like he was going to strangle me. he's voted #1 barber in 2009 but being over 10 years later that doesn't mean much. definitely not a 4.5 star barber like yelp suggests. I recommend traveling the extra 15 minutes to a barber with proper customer care and consideration. and knowledge of how much hair is too much hair.

My…read moretypical barber in the Bay was booked, so I decided to hop on Yelp to find something on the way, and that lead me here. Walk-ins at Bay Area barber shops are hard to find. Luckily EJ was available to line up my face and he did a wonderful job. He lined up my mustache and when I asked for a straight razor shave finish, he was able to take care of me right away. I didn't ask how much the service was before sitting down and when EJ told me $10, I was blown away. It's 2.5x more for the same service up in the Bay. I didn't have any cash, but luckily he took Venmo/cash app for payment. I've been to to a few barber shops in the bay where the customer service is next to nothing. Not here! If I lived in the area, I would definitely give EJ a try for a haircut. He was kind, courteous, and did a great job.
