Well let me tell you then he is just incompetent. After escrow closed, I found that one of the picture Windows was ready to fall out because there was no seal any more around it. Any one who knew what they were doing should have seen there was no seal. Other windows also needed to be replaced. It was stated that the gutters were inspected but in fact they were plugged with some type of a screen backing them up with leaves. Apparently there is a leak somewhere because the home is using 250 gallons of water a day sitting vacant. There's also damage in the master bathroom to the door frame at the floor. It looks like the showerhead not drained correctly causing the water damage. Hi, I'm still unable to occupy the home after five weeks due to all the necessary repairs that need to be made I had asked him to come over and look at what had been missed. When I asked him why it wasn't put on the inspection, he just shrugged his shoulders with a blank look on his face. So if you're looking for a good home, inspector find someone other than country home inspection.

I had a rodent problem in our crawl space. I called Ryan and he thoughtfully walked me through the…read moreprocess over the phone. We set up a time and he came over to my house to take a look. Ryan explained everything in great detail and educated me on things like where rodents could get into the house, what they like to eat, the difference between mice and rats (who knew rats were so intelligent), different kinds of traps, etc. We walked around the house and identified spots that should be sealed up. He offered practical solutions like chicken wire and expanding spray foam (typically used for insulation). He asked me if neighbors were setting out poison because he saw several dead critters in my crawl space. It turns out, a week later I did see a poison trap set up a few houses away from me. His down to earth approach on problem solving resonated with me. There's no black and white answer when you have rodents. Ryan was very patient and made sure I understood all of the options. It's been a month since he came out. Since then, I caught one mouse, sealed up the obvious spots around the house, and haven't seen any new activity. If the rodents do come back, I feel much more prepared to deal with it the next time around. If I can't, I won't hesitate to call Ryan again.

Back in 2017 Dan had given us advice on the woodstove we had and that we should consider a more efficient model. He had given us 3-4 suggestions and we went and found one of his recommendations at Tractor Supply on sale. Dan came back out and did the install for us.
