It's tough to find good much less authentic Chinese food outside of Portland, and this place is a gem. It was a hot day so I ordered the chicken cold noodles, and the flavors and noodle quality were on par with some of the best noodle places I've been to in Southern California. My wife had the beef noodle soup which I tried, and it was also great with a good amount of meat. We had some pork skewers on the side which were perfectly tender with a great cumin seasoning. The prices overall were quite great for the amount and quality of food. To top it all off, the owner checked in more than a couple of times and also provided some black vinegar for the cold noodles on our request. Wish this place was down in Long Beach! read more

I ordered the braised beef noodle bowl. They warned me it was spicy, and I replied, like a moron, 'Give me all that spice, I love it hot." Then the cook naturally wants to make you regret that swaggering statement. And he did, too. Wow, the heat just about tore my head off. Still really good, though. Lots of taste along with all the heat. And a tremendous amount of beef in the serving, which itself was a generous portion. No complaints here, no complaints at all. Been here a few times and it's been very consistent. Noodles are really tasty, beef is super tender and the soup is just spicy enough without being too spicy. Service is quick and straight forward. You can order on a tablet or through the cashier if you want to pay with cash or have any questions. They offer samples of each of their drinks but I've tried 3 and they've all been great. I've tried the winter melon tea, the passion fruit jasmine tea and the peach oolong tea- all iced teas. They're sweetened already. I would not recommend this establishment. I was excited to try the food and the guy charged my card twice. I showed him my bank statement where the transaction was duplicated and he still Would not give me a refund. It was a lot of back and forth.. I cancelled my order and left. Embarrassing. read more

Husband and I are Asian Americans roadtripping up in Oregon for the summer. We're used to really amazing Chinese food where we come from in Orange County and were craving noodles after many days on the road. This was such a refreshing stop for us, really hit all the proper tastebuds in spiciness, flavorful comforting broth, and quality of ingredients. The value of the beef noodle soup is absolutely amazing- esp in this economy? Proper large chunks of beef for a $12 bowl? Unheard of. We ordered 3 pork skewers and got a bonus 4th out of pure niceness. This is still a relatively new restaurant and the owner deserves a real chance to keep this place thriving not just surviving. Get over to noodle zone!!! Man I am so happy to report this place is legit tasty!!! Wonderful spicy braised beef noodle bowl , and my hubs had a full bowl of wontons and sliced beef, also do not forget to get a tea!!! We tried all flavors and they are all so delicious. I chose a plum and my hubs had passion fruit. It's fast food but the food is real , not processed . All ingredients are real and it's made in house with fresh noodles made in Portland. This place has parking and lots of casual seating. EXCELLENT FOOD. Check it out. We will definitely be back. read more

I went to the restaurant for the first time. I heard about it on Nextdoor, where people were raving about its authentic Chinese food. I tried the braised beef noodles and spicy potatoes, which are some of the restaurant's most popular dishes. I know it comes down to personal preference, but I didn't like the noodle dish at all. The broth had a very thick layer of oil on top, and I felt something was lacking in the flavor. I couldn't even finish half of it and ended up throwing the rest away. Had a great experience here. Restaurant was nicely decorated and clean. Service was very quick and friendly, they offered a sample of each of their teas so that I could figure out which one I wanted, but they were all really tasty. Food came out really impressively fast. I got the Braised Beef noodle bowl and I loved it. Meat was very tender, and the broth had a great taste, with just the right amount of heat. It was a GREAT price for this quality of food, only about 13 dollars total for the noodle bowl and the tea. They weren't busy at all, so I want to do what I can to help more people find this place. Are here once when they first opened and was impressed but not so much when I came back a few days ago. Both times got the braised beef noodle soup. First time it was made promptly and came full of succulent meat, nice baby bok choy and some garnish on top. This time it took a looong time to arrive. When it did the meat portion was small and a lot of the pieces were gristly and inedible. Also just one pathetic leaf off a baby bok choy and no garnish. Had to ask for napkins and hot sauce cuz they r unavailable otherwise. What a disappointment. read more

Seriously, go here for your next dinner!!! I took my partner here for his birthday, and wow new favorite restaurant. Very authentic and delicious Chinese food, all very thoughtfully prepared. The potatoes were absolutely incredible, honestly the best potatoes I've ever had. You can see the spices alllll the way through the center. The meat was all so so tender and flavorful. The spice level was absolutely perfect and I loved that the person taking orders made sure to give us the option. Option 2 was my favorite as a more traditional noodle dish but option 1 soup was nearly as good. Everything was honestly incredible and by far exceeded my expectations. The atmosphere was great and excellent customer service. I love how they served the bowls, made it easy to take leftovers home. Very reasonable prices. A true hidden gem, everyone really needs to get over there and try it!!! read more

The beef noodle soup with the brisket is spicy and the beef is very tender. The crunchy potatoes are a very good side and tasted amazing.
