I'll start this review with the proverbial "Hella Good is hella good."…read more We came here to this area to do some shopping while we were in town, and this place grabbed my attention. The wait was definitely not for very long. We got a pager that buzzed pretty soon after we wandered off. For those who are/were unfamiliar as myself (being American on holiday), Hella Good is a place that serves Mediterranean-style wraps with pita bread filled with meat, veggies, and very delicious sauce. I got the Arnie, which includes the lamb leg meat. It was good. I don't know how it compares to other local offerings since this was one of a kind during our trip. FYI: - When you charge your card, it gives you a choice between charging in AUD or your home country's currency. Not sure if that makes a difference, but I think that's interesting. - It can get messy if you unwrap it a certain way, so have napkins and sanitizer available. - There are multiple locations.

Well, actually, no, namely because there is little difference between the two. However, the souvlakis are actually pretty awesome anyway. They also do chips, and while the herbs used in making the chips were pretty nice, I did find them a little soft. Still, the place isn't all that bad.

I'm from the States so seriously so so so blown away that an all vego with vegan options fast food…read moreplace even exists!!!! I reckon this is what vegan dreams are made of. My first time in I got the pharma burger and fries with the 'Mexican' sauce. Did not realize the fries or sorry chips would be such a large portion size! Couldn't finish it all even after saving half and trying to eat again later. Chips were meh, not anything life changing. Anyway back to the pharma burger, it was amazing!!! Crispy "chicken" on the inside. I've also tried their Melbourne hotdog and I was kind of freaking out because it tastes just like the hotdogs I remember eating as a kid!!! May be my new favorite menu item. Also, try the nuggets with sweet chili sauce. Just do it.

Oh God. Oh delicious god…read more I've never been one to believe in god, but after trying Lord of the fries, I know that there is a higher power. Offering tasty vegetarian and vegan fast-food options (similar to what you'd find at your local burger joint), LOTF has an amazing range of burgers and condiments for every type of non-meat eater out there. I have personally sampled everything on their menu over their years and have never had one complaint, LOTF is as good as it gets (for me, anyways). My personally favourite is their Chicken Burger and LOTF nuggets. One thing that no one can go past (even my devout meat-eating friends) is their chips (or fries, whatever you 'd like to call them). They have the most delectable chips i've ever tasted (with so many sauces too)! This is one of my favourite places to spend on my 'guilt' day!

You can get a…read morerange of different styles of noodles from across Asia including Char Kuey Tow, Mee Goreng, Laksa and more. You get a pretty massive portion for $10 to $12.50 and it is very tasty for the most part. My personal favourites are the lemongrass chicken and the Palace Hot Bowl. It's not that fancy inside but the staff are very friendly, the service is quick and excellent and they play decent music. I mainly go and get a takeaway lunch. You get a ton of noodles for a decent price. And their spring rolls with plum sauce are pretty good too. It is far from mind-blowing but you would struggle to recreate the dishes for flavor and authenticity at home. It is one of the best places for quick noodles in Fitzroy. I'd choose Noodle Palace over the recently opened China Bar any day of the week.

Now that saying, I was tempted to try Nasi Goreng about a month ago and I gotta say it was pretty average. There was hardly any taste to it except for the soy sauce. That got me to thinking: Am I blinded by noodles? I really hope not. I'm going to trust my taste buds and proudly state that the Mee Goreng is still good. This place has also now got a sushi counter in the front window to get some more foot traffic. I've tried a roll in the past and honestly, they are not that great, which pains me to say, because I love this place and I really want them to be great.

Orange sliced cheese is non existent in Phila sandwich shop, this was like McDonald's cheese galavanting as whiz. Onions were cut too large so the ratio to meat was wrong. Doubly excited that they have an entire wall devoted hot sauces and condiments for said creations. Triply excited that, despite their name sake, there are vegetarian options on the menu. But just because it's vegetarian, it makes no pretense that it's healthy. That fried tofu sandwich comes topped with vegetarian chilli and gooey, guilty-pleasure American cheese. Plus the option to have it all seated on top of a big pile of fries. You can save money for more beer at the Catfish bar on Mondays, when the cheesesteaks are only $8 or $10 with fries. Order and pick-up at the back hatch. Then add a little heat with things like the chipotle bbq sauce and tomatillo & jalapeno, or just play it safe and stick with the basic tomato sauce & yellow mustard. There is no way you're walking out hungry after one of these.

Even in Sydney there isn't many Kiwi fish & chip shops.. haven't had a bad one yet & this one had some really good reviews so had to hit this place up :)!! As soon as i walked in it was a friendly Asian guy working behind the counter who greeted me, I'm a guy who always has to study the menu so i walk out satisfied haha!! I was like is there a favourite & he was like the fish of the day is always popular :), that day was Spot Trevally which i haven't had in yonks, got a greek salad, Kamara chips (like sweet potato) & a L&P can :D!! If i can remember wright for the lot it was just under or just over $30 cause i got a packet of cheese Curlies &  cheese n bacon Rashuns :D. Waiting time was about 10 - 15 minutes, you become an expert at counting the waiting time when your hungry :)!! Without a doubt the Trevally was on point for taste same with the greek salad :), i left the Kamara chips & L&P last.. for every sip 1 chip :D!!.. the chips were definately the highlight cause i can't remember the last time i had them!! The chips and drink were a bit more expensive as per usual but when they dont sell them at normal supermarkets you buy them when you see them :)!! Whenever I'm back in Melbourne I'm definitely coming back for a feed even if it's just for the Chips :D.

The batter was nice and crispy, the fish was fresh and the chips were exactly right. The only complaint I have would be the scallops - they were tiny and didn't seem to be up to the same standard as everything else. They also sell a handful of NZ snacks and drinks.

There's also limited space for seating, but luckily we scored a table. The souvas were scrumptious. The bread was just the right thickness and the filling was a party in your mouth. I tried the nonna maria souva (the chicken one) and loved the aioli. A perfect amount of garlic. The Hellenic Slaw was a nice dish to match. There appears to be a decent variety of alcoholic beverages and their menu has a few options. I opted for the lamb and chicken option which included some basic salad and chips in it.
