I'm usually the last person to go to chain stores, especially for lunch though there will always be a special place in my stomach for Jimmy Grant's great food. Being vegetarian I was really happy to discover that their falafel tastes so good and the Hellenic slaw they use in it is so tasty. I also really like the nice warm bread they use to wrap it. To mix it up once in a while I also get the grain salad which tastes amazing and is super filling. The feta and herb chips are something magical! Feta makes everything great. Jimmy Grants off Smith st (the 1st one!) is not too big but the staff are friendly and pump out the orders so you are never waiting too long and it's great having the food prepared fresh for every order. I usually get take away but on the times I have stayed there I find the atmosphere buzzing and always a good tune on the speakers. Staff are friendly and get the job done efficiently. This is still my favorite store of the various pop-ups and stores now around Melbourne.

Okay, I'm not a fan of George C, however I must give him and the team a credit for this one. I've tried his other creations like St. Katherine and Press Club, they are a flop in comparison to his big name in the food industry. Mr. Papadopolous is spot on, this simple looking Lamb wrap reflects a migrant success story, I can get and appreciate that. The menu, although simplistic in comparison to his other ventures elevated the food into an enjoyable "foodie" status, most Souvlakis from other Fast Food stores don't usually interest me. Genuine, clean cut and smart looking food easy to enjoy. Yes, $11 might seems steep for a wrap and a little serving of chips that's presented well plus drinks, around $20 with an alcohol drink. Great presentation of the store, easy to enjoy. Well done!

Rather tasty! Great price, good location and an explosion of flavor. I like how the standard option is a bit spicy - making it my kind of place. The sizes were a bit on the smaller side which is actually perfect as it's harder to over indulge

Been to this place casually a couple of times and gotta say I'm a fan. It's basically Greek-ish/Mediterranean informed dishes, souvlaki, falafel, plates etc, with a modern/hipster touch (mustard aioli in the lamb souvalaki, sriracha on the tables) and indie music. You self-order then grab a seat. It's a chill vibe, and the food is all really good. We've only ever had souvlaki, salad, and chips (which come with feta and oregano), and its always really good. It's also one of those few take-out type places where you leave feeling really healthy and nourished after rather than full and regretful. I'd return (as I have several times already!) :)

Delicious and affordable Greek food! Strolling around Fitzroy I had worked up quite the hunger. Jimmy Grants showed up on my Yelp app as highly-rated, so we dropped in. We opted for the pita and taramasalata (my fave dip), the grain salad and a couple of souvas. Yes we definitely over ordered. The pita was so light and fluffy, and as good as pita I've had in Greece. The grain salad was also great and the souva (mine falafel, the husband's meat) both hit the spot. I'd be getting a fair bit of takeaway from Jimmy if I lived in Fitzroy.

Dinner here is good! Nice size portions! Ouzo mini was an interesting drink! Enjoyed the cider. The donuts, cinnamon sugar flavor, however lacked- they tasted like nothing, not even dough, with a hint of cinnamon. Otherwise dinner was great.

Quick and cheerful service, buzzy vibe and the smell alone will entice you through the doors. The grain salad is a guilt free way to join your souva-loving friends without spoiling your diet but resisting the tarama with pita is futile . Everything is delicious.

This is the large chips I ordered BEFORE I'd eaten any. Very disappointing.

I ordered the Bonegilla, which was absolutely delicious. It wasn't a massive portion of food, but still very hearty. I was, however, incredibly disappointed when I opened up the large chips I had ordered to find that the box wasn't even half full. I might go back for the souvlaki's, but I won't be wasting my money on sides. Or I'll probably just cross the street and order a satisfying amount of food from Biggie Smalls.

Busy, but great service and delicious food.

Any souv served with lamb or chicken will always be tasty if it's accompanied with the necessary condiments. Pity there's no pork!

The wait was definitely not for very long. We got a pager that buzzed pretty soon after we wandered off. For those who are/were unfamiliar as myself (being American on holiday), Hella Good is a place that serves Mediterranean-style wraps with pita bread filled with meat, veggies, and very delicious sauce. I got the Arnie, which includes the lamb leg meat. It was good. I don't know how it compares to other local offerings since this was one of a kind during our trip. FYI: - When you charge your card, it gives you a choice between charging in AUD or your home country's currency. Not sure if that makes a difference, but I think that's interesting. - It can get messy if you unwrap it a certain way, so have napkins and sanitizer available. - There are multiple locations.

Well, actually, no, namely because there is little difference between the two. However, the souvlakis are actually pretty awesome anyway. I have personally sampled everything on their menu over their years and have never had one complaint, LOTF is as good as it gets (for me, anyways). My personally favourite is their Chicken Burger and LOTF nuggets. One thing that no one can go past (even my devout meat-eating friends) is their chips (or fries, whatever you 'd like to call them). It's not that fancy inside but the staff are very friendly, the service is quick and excellent and they play decent music. I mainly go and get a takeaway lunch. You get a ton of noodles for a decent price. And their spring rolls with plum sauce are pretty good too. It is far from mind-blowing but you would struggle to recreate the dishes for flavor and authenticity at home. It is one of the best places for quick noodles in Fitzroy.
