Oh Melbourne. Another year away and all I wanted was McDonalds in my home town. Sadly, it's quite rubbish in the UK.
So after another year abroad, I just arrived at my accommodation with horrendous jetlag (midnight here but lunchtime back home) so the decision was made to head to maccas. Plus, it was the closest and only hot food option accessible at midnight on a Sunday.
So off I moseyed down Hoddle street in the cold wind (side note- seriously, how is it colder here now than Scotland?!) to the maccas/ petrol station off the main road.
Whilst practically empty, service was friendly and prompt. Our fries were made fresh and everything was great. Maybe I'm really tired, jetlagged and overall a complete mess but this meal was glorious! It's everything I wanted after waiting one year. Gosh it was so darn good (think: the scene when Harold and Kumar finally made it to White Castle).
Whilst this place doesn't look like much and could use a quick wipe down, the food was delicious. Super impressed given the late hour too. read more
