The noodles are delicious. Great General Tso's. IN my opinion the best Asian food in the area.

My wife and I have patiently awaited the opening. And it did not let down. Beautiful interior, great host and server. Tried 2 appetizers, sezchuan dumplings and scallion pancakes. Both were good portion size, fresh and tasty. Hot and sour soup was amazing. The Dan Dan noodles were great. The chicken pad Thai was by far the best I have ever had. And this is coming from someone who just moved from the city and had Asian food and noodles (pad thai especially) from some really nice restaurants. This will probably be a once a week place for me. 5/5 ambiance, 5/5 service, 5/5 portion size, 5/5 Taste, 5/5 price. You can't go wrong here. read more

Recently I moved to the area and so the hunt began for decent Chinese takeout. (It's been a rough search). I worked in center city for over 10 years and lived in NE Philly my entire life. I've had Chinese takeout from at least 30 different restaurants in ne Philly center city area and most of them are better than the Chinese restaurants in Montgomery County and surrounding areas. Since I moved I've visited at least 5 Chinese restaurants in this area and none were better than Noodle Eighty Eight. I had the general tso chicken with whole grain rice. it was very good and I could tell this was made fresh with real chicken (not processed?. For the first time I had whole grain rice and I wasn't disappointed. I ordered ahead of time and it was ready when I arrived. I believe the owner took care of me when I arrived and he seemed like an okay guy but I had very little interaction with him. I'll definitely be back. Yes the menu is priced higher than other Chinese restaurants but I'll gladly pay for better quality! read more

A welcome addition to the area! Stopped here for lunch. I wasn't that hungry so I ordered some spring and summer rolls. They were delicious! My husband had chicken pad Thai and loved it. He usually eats most of an entree and takes the rest home--not today! He ate the whole thing! Prices were pretty reasonable, too. I have high hopes for this place. Not as awesome as you'd think from the reviews. Staff were friendly, appetizer was slow to come out and then came out in pieces. Ordered 3 appetizers and after the second my daughters soup came out, even though I specifically asked it to be considered her entree and come out at the same time as the other 3 entrees. I ordered via door Dash and I am just sad that I wasted my money. The Dan Dan noodles were one of the worst things I have ever eaten and SO greasy. The pan fried dumplings were also SO greasy, the meat was weird, and tasted terrible. I am surprised because their reviews were all pretty good. The hot and sour was ok but not much flavor. I hate to post a bad review but I love nice food and this wasn't even close. I don't want the leftovers so this is a hard No for me. read more

Amazing food! You can tell all the noodles are homemade because they're over the top delicious. We did curbside pickup, which was safe and easy. We tried lots of dishes and they were all delicious. Thanks Yelp! Picked this place for our Sunday dinner after our hike and sad it's not closer to our home. It was so authentic - something hard to find outside of Chinatown. Dan Tze Mein brought me back to taste of Taiwan noodles. Lo mein surprised me that it wasn't the typical soy sauce drenched dish but more like a Chinese sautéed noodles. General Tso's chicken was lightly breaded not disguising the big chunks of chicken. Don't forget to order the Xiao Long Bao - Souderton folks, you're lucky to have such an authentic Chinese food in your town! read more

Tonight was our first time coming to Noodle 88... and we'll be coming back for sure. We ordered a few things; Pad Thai noodles, General Tso's Chicken, a spicy Szechuan beef and shrimp dish, as well as young Chinese greens. Everything was fantastic, nothing let us down. Instead of rice they bring out a wide noodle tossed in a little olive oil (I think). This one of our new go-to restaurants, when we more than the run of the mill Chinese food. I highly recommend Noodle 88 based on this wonderful experience. My family an I have been here a couple more times since our original visit. My entire family loves this restaurant. The sesame chicken is great for kids, it's sweet with tender chunks of chicken breast. Lo mein is a wide noodle, instead of the typical spaghetti sized in most Chinese restaurants, and is great! The pork shank is delicious too! We've tried something new every time we gone, and have not been let down with anything we've tried so far. I'll gladly drive here than order the mediocre takeout we get elsewhere. read more

Love this place! My husband introduced me to it last summer and I've enjoyed every meal I've had since then!

What a refreshingly different Chinese restaurant. Nice space, great service, and a menu nearly devoid of the gobs and gobs of soy sauce that one finds elsewhere. Don't get me wrong, I love soy sauce and the other places, too. But Noodle 88 is different. It's a different style of Chinese American food. The seasoning is lighter and the flavors are still amazing. Of course, if you love noodles more than rice, well, you're home. I'm looking forward to going back to sample the entire menu. There are a few favorites. I'll ignore them and try everything else. That pork shoulder looks really really good. Like Peking Duck. Can't wait to try it. read more

I ordered takeout so please take my review with a grain of salt as the food of course had to sit a while before I got to it. The soup dumplings were delicious but the sauce they came with was straight up vinegar with some pickled veg that did not complement the dumpling in my opinion. I also got the scallion pancake which others have raved about, but I found mine to be overly fried and tasteless. I also got dan dan noodles with pork. They were ok, but generally too greasy and salty for my taste. Given the stellar reviews, I do want to give this place another try. read more

Maybe we went there on the wrong day/wrong time. I'm not sure. But it was our anniversary day and we were in the area. The meal is not going to memorable by any means. The starter that we ordered was spring roll. We were a little surprised to see 2 sad and lonely pieces in front of us after a wait of at least 20 minutes. When we even dine in NYC we get 4 pieces. The price is a bit much for 2 pieces. It tasted okay, this was the bright side. For main course my husband ordered vegetable noodles and that turned out to be okay - not extraordinary by any means. I ordered the shezwan tofu and it was not what I was expecting. I hoped the tofu would be fried. It seemed like someone dropped a lot of pieces of tofu in this oil that smelled weird and raw spices. I could not eat more than 2 pieces. Maybe I ordered the wrong item. But our experience was not worthwhile. read more

Came here for a date and was not disappointed! While finding parking is difficult, the restaurant itself makes up for it. The environment is extremely welcoming with dim lighting, neatly set tables, and friendly staff. Our waiter was very attentive and came to refill our water frequently. He also quickly removed our dirty dishes from the table almost as soon as we were done. As for the food, appreciate the vegetarian options this restaurant has to offer, making it accessible to a variety of people.
