Such a great local shop in the Matsumoto's shopping center. If you appreciate well-made pieces, good energy, and supporting North Shore businesses, Mahina is a must. They do have other stores across the island but not only is this one close to me on the North Shore, it's a vibe also sets it apart. Oh! Seemed like they had several sizes available in all their merchandise which is great. Their dressing rooms are spaced nicely and they have several. They have ample parking spaces out in front of the store.

For me, the two main reasons to buy Manuheali'i. First, their clothes is often made with a thinner material which is both comfortable and practical, especially during the summer. Business attire or dining out looks better when you're not sweating in your thick cotton aloha shirt. Second, their prices used to be just a tad lower than a lot of the other high end Hawaiian fashion designers. But that seems to be changing. It's going to be more difficult for Hawaiians to wear Hawaiian wear if the prices continue to increase but if you're looking for something professional, fancy, and comfortable, this is probably one of the best brands to go with.

Adrienne had just opened the shop for about 30 minutes and we happened to walk in and were the only customers at that time. Adrienne was very happy to help us as she offered her assistance before we even asked for help. We looked around at all their clothing, jewelry, magnets, coasters, puzzles, hair clips, games, and so much more. We already shop at the Kahala, Pearlridge & Ala Moana stores so we're well aware of their merch. Daughter & I grabbed a bunch of clothes to try on as they have these little private makeshift dressing rooms available. The store is so inviting as they have so many cute and colorful merch to select from. Even if you're not there for the clothes, they have a bunch of trinkets and cards that you'll find something to your liking to purchase. The prices are fairly reasonable for what they have. There were these cute hair clips with floral designs on a wood base attached to the plastic hair clips that was really cute. It sold for $22. It'll make a nice gift for almost any gal with long hair. There's street parking in front but I'm sure you can park in the big parking structure or huge lot across the street. We did and we didn't have any problems on our return. Adrienne was so upbeat, friendly and nice that she makes you want to be her friend for life. We'll be back to support local and dive into their new merch that they pretty much bring out often.

I guess it's been awhile since I've visited this strip in Kailua as the farmers market has relocated and work has me exhausted to a point of staying close to home. This is the second location for Sugar Sugar Hawaii and it's just as cute and cozy shop filled with all things girl power would love. There was a lot to love that I made a couple of purchase I can't say as they're gifts but know that it will go to great homes. Every item here screams with personalities that I love from beautiful jewelry, fun shirts and clothing to accessories and decor that has me falling in love. Take your time to go through them and find one that speaks to you. They really are quite pretty. The young lady working that day was super friendly, engaging in conversation as I shopped. I particularly loved the light maxi dresses in various beach patterns - tie dye, florals, soft colors. And the jewelry, specifically the long dangly earrings with pale blue stones. He has amassed an impressive collection lot legit vintage jackets (some from France, old military pieces and cool Levi's) and sweatshirts in cool colors with the perfect amount of fade and they are soft and comfy. And one of the coolest things (and I've never seen this before) they will professionally sew one of their vintage patches to their cool jackets or even embroider them, making each piece so personal and one of a kind.
