Their standard 16"/large pepperoni pizza. Cheese and dough dry out really quick. You've got to eat it before it cools down.

Meh. Joint looked alright. Small parking lot with every douchenozzle double parked or handicapped parked. It's been a while since I've last had Nona's pizza. I remember the last time, the dough wasn't cardboard and the pizza actually had SOME flavor. Maybe it was a different kind of flour they switched to, to save money? Who knows. Tangy tomato sauce was just scooped out of a can and thrown on some raw dough and into an oven. That's what it basically tasted it like. No seasoning at all. You can see the wall of tomato sauces stacked on a shelf in a corner near the register.

Called Larry to let him know our braided apple roll was raw on the inside and was disparaged for it. I was told "dough-y" was a personal preference and scolded for ordering carry-out too late through Slice and for being out of their delivery zone. I guess it's my fault that on the day they were handing out super powers I didn't choose "tolerance to raw food" or mind-reading. Star-rating would be higher if not for the mismanaging of my expectations and for being told, after spending $90, that they'd rather not have my business.

Extra large cheese and green pepper! Pretty good stuff!

Pretty good Pizza! Friendly service, delivered by the new owner himself! Nice touch. I'm pretty partial to another local Pizza place, but I think they were without power last night. I read some good reviews from trusted Yelper friends so I gave Nona's a call. I was pretty happy with my pie. It wasn't my favorite tasting...as I thought it was on the bland side, but still a wonderful treat to eat! I'd more than likely order from them again, mostly because #1 Extra Large pizza!! #2 I'd like to try some of their other menu items. Good job Nona's!

The food was ok. Just ok. Nothing there was overly impressive, but nothing was outright bad. There are better places to dine.

Pizza is delicious. Delivery is always fast. They have many other options for food, including cannolis. My go to place when I'm in the area.

Its alright. I've had better but I've also had worse. I probably won't come here again because there's better pizza in the area.

The cheese bread is a nice compliment to your pizza of choice. What makes the bread more enjoyable though are the housemade ranches. The options are classic or "raging." The raging ranch definitely has a kick, but it's tolerable. As for the pizza, I have 2 favorites, the chicken coop and mama's meatball pizza. The meatball pizza's generous amount of meatballs and parmesan cheese sprinkled on top make it reminiscent of a homemade pasta dinner. BBQ chicken pizzas typically feature shredded chicken. What I like about the chicken coop, is that it features bite-sized pieces of fried chicken instead. Regardless of which pizza you order, I recommend the "all corner" option. Any time I can support an independently owned business, like Square One, over a franchise, I will. The food I've had has been exceptional, and is also competitively priced.

It all starts with the owner. I love when I'm in a restaurant and the owner takes pride in the details that make their products stand out and is excited to share them with you. That's what happened here. Some of those details include 1) Canadian style pepperoni. Far lower fat content that typical pepperoni and shredded. This was great. Frankly I'm not sure i ever want regular pepperoni again. They were incredibly flavorful and not at all greasy. A big win 2) Portion size, here every size is approximately 2" bigger that comparable size at other restaurants 3) The ovens, no heated conveyor belt here. this is a legit stone oven, high temp pizza oven that bakes a great pie. I couldn't wait to get home to try the pizza. At the first bite I was in love. The crust had a nice crispy bottom while maintaining a soft, pillowy, chewy taste on top. The sauce was silky smooth and had a little spiciness to it. All the meats were incredibly tasty as well. The shredded pepperoni was the standout though. I also really appreciate the fact that they offered flavored crust. I got garlic butter and it was like having bonus a breadstick with each slice. My wife got a Margherita pizza and loved hers as well. To top it all off, the breadsticks were fantastic too. If good food wasn't enough, the prices were very reasonable, a huge advantage that A Slice of Rome has over another newish local pizza place I recently reviewed. This may be my new go to pizzeria. I'll definitely be back
