Up to this time, I always enjoyed their taste pizza. BUT... today as I drove up to get my order, I noticed a guy carrying a pizza into Nona's. I thought that was very strange. I watched while he returned the pizza and then I guess got his correct order. The employee then took that returned pizza and put it up on the top of the stove. When I said my name to get my order, they took that pizza and were going to give it to me! At that point, I mentioned that I saw the guy bring it back in, so I refused to take it. They said it looked OK, and would cook me another, but it would take 20 minutes. After about a minute, I decided I had lost my appetite for pizza and said no, and I would go elsewhere. One star ONLY for the employee working the front. She was kind. The pizza I ordered was not worth the nearly $22. It was honestly unappetizing to the eye AND proved to be flavorless and of cheap quality when eaten. Trying to support small local business but was definitely a mistake with this establishment. I understand these are new owners. I never had product from the original owners who had a great reputation for the food they served and the service they provided. Sad I never got the experience during their ownership. The new owners better change the name as they do not have the years of Nona standards I heard about. Furthermore I do not see this owner thriving at all. I wouldn't be surprised if he is already trying to sell. Meh. Joint looked alright. Small parking lot with every douchenozzle double parked or handicapped parked. It's been a while since I've last had Nona's pizza. I remember the last time, the dough wasn't cardboard and the pizza actually had SOME flavor. Maybe it was a different kind of flour they switched to, to save money? Who knows. Tangy tomato sauce was just scooped out of a can and thrown on some raw dough and into an oven. That's what it basically tasted it like. No seasoning at all. Their round pizza overall was fairly mediocre compared to other options in the area. Cheese bread was nothing special. It was only a first visit, and I know they have a lot of other menu options, but nothing really made me want to go back. Interior of place could use a lot of improvement. A bit trashy looking. Called Larry to let him know our braided apple roll was raw on the inside and was disparaged for it. I was told "dough-y" was a personal preference and scolded for ordering carry-out too late through Slice and for being out of their delivery zone. I guess it's my fault that on the day they were handing out super powers I didn't choose "tolerance to raw food" or mind-reading. Pretty good Pizza! Friendly service, delivered by the new owner himself! Nice touch. I'm pretty partial to another local Pizza place, but I think they were without power last night. I read some good reviews from trusted Yelper friends so I gave Nona's a call. I was pretty happy with my pie. It wasn't my favorite tasting...as I thought it was on the bland side, but still a wonderful treat to eat! If I could give a this pizzeria zero stars I would. I stopped to get a slice and the girl on the register asked if I wanted it heated. I said yes if its cold. She said ohhh its not warm.n She was young and acted like she was training everyone. So after paying for it and leaving I went to eat it and it was half cold, dried out and burnt on the bottom. We tried this pizzeria after hearing great things about it from others in the neighborhood. Nona's did not disappoint! The pizza is amazing, both the deep dish and the hand tossed. We also enjoyed the cannolis for dessert. I would highly recommend the food at this restaurant! I was a little disappointed that nobody was wearing a mask properly when I stopped in though. And even though 4 people were working in sight of the door, nobody greeted me. I had to greet them and ask for my order. This likely won't prevent me from going back, it's just not ideal. read more

They are not a pizza roll, it's dry braided bread. It should have garlic butter and Parmesan cheese on top, this is dry with sesame seeds on top. Don't waste your time or money. Nona's is a neighborhood pizza and pasta take out place. They do a very nice round pie, good coleslaw and (on my wife's authority) tasty fried chicken. The counter staff is unfailingly friendly. Although I sometimes choose another good place (Joe Bologna's or Passport), Nona's is a solid choice for pizza that tastes real, not mass-produced. read more

Best pizza in the area. Love the sauce. It's their own taste. Same thing with the crust. It's not too bready. The staff has always been friendly. They work fast. If you live in the area, you must try this pizza. Ask for them to make it well done. They tend to under cook the pizzas just a little. This is a good pizza. Ordered a XL with extra cheese and side of wings. One and a half slices and that was a wrap with a couple of wings. Good bbq sauce wings. They use and do not skimp on the cheese. Could use a very little more sauce but I will probably go back as a regular. They also added delivery which is a good think. I would have got past the absolutely terrible customer service this place provides if they atleast had decent food. The "salad" was a bag of lettuce with a slice of cucumber throw on top. Pizza is delicious. Delivery is always fast. They have many other options for food, including cannolis. My go to place when I'm in the area.

My advice: Don't call and complain about the food. The owner, Larry, will turn it around on you. "I never get complaints about the apple braid" - Translation: I have no taste buds? "Its personal preference, would you like me to burn it next time?" Translation: There's only two ways to order the apple braid - raw or burnt. "You ordered through Slice." Translation: How the heck would I know not to do this? Anyway. After a tab of $90, I guess Larry doesn't want my business. His loss.
