Food is very good BUT the service is the worst in all of Spain. My friend and I made a reservation and the restaurant was almost empty, but were sat in the smallest table near an emergency exit. The wait staff was extremely impatient and tried to come take our order immediately after sitting down. When we asked, in Spanish, for more time they glared at us and came back in 2 minutes.
Feeling pressured we ordered quickly. We shared an appetizer and each had our own rolls. We shared the seaweed salad, which is very untraditional. I really liked it but my friend did not. It has hidden scallops and white fish throughout. We both had the tuna roll for dinner. It was delicious but needed a bit more sauce. We asked for more and that did not end well. They also refused to refill our water glasses. Once we finished eating they rushed to give us our check and actually asked us to leave because "we were taking up space." THERE WERE LIKE 7 TABLES OPEN!
The restaurant itself is very beautiful. It has an outdoor patio in the front. The inside is very modern with a large bar and two large dining rooms. My favorite part is the subtle exposed lighting throughout.
Overall we think they rushed us because we did not order drinks. They were judgmental of the quantity of food we ordered and passive aggressive. We will NOT be coming back!!
It's a shame because I think it is the best sushi I had while visiting Madrid, but the staff is just so rude and unwelcoming. read more
