You're maybe wondering where is the best Burger of Lausanne? Well you should maybe stop searching…read moreand head at the LP Bar. It's a quiet expensive Burger but the experience is worth it! Atmosphere 5/5: Located inside the Lausanne & Spa Palace, the LP's Bar is a great place to enjoy a drink or eat some snacks. The high ceiling gives a lot of volume and depth to the bar. In the back of the restaurant, a sort of library with bottles of expensive Champagne are aligned. The terrace is even more breathtaking with a direct view to the Alps and the Leman Lake. Food 5/5: I only tried the Burger and this is one of the best burger you'll find in Lausanne. Fresh patty served with Paprika French Fries! Exquisite food! Service 4/5: Service can be slow at times since some of the time, the LP Bar is a place where some students gets internship and start working in the food industry. To summarize, an experience worth 35 CHF! Yes, it might be one of the most expensive Burger you'll eat but come on, just let it go. You're in Switzerland. Enjoy your time there.

Horrible service! Avoid this place like the plague. Arrogant and cold ambiance. The management…read moreis especially rude (the manager even walked up to me and told me off in front of customers) because I left negative feedback on their feedback card. Food is mediocre and overpriced. (e.g. Lemonade falsely advertised as "fresh" was made from lemon juice from a bottle cost CHF 9, equivalent of USD 11! It was not even sweetened, we had to add our own sugar; Club sandwich was disgusting, egg and mayonnaise was overpowering).

Café du Vieil Ouchy was our little introduction to Swiss dining near Lac Léman. I didn't plan on…read moreleaving Switzerland without experiencing fondue. What better way to do this than in a café across from the reflection of the Alps on beautiful Lake Geneva? (My review comes a year late. I didn't realize this had been sitting in my drafts for a while. But, here I am, finally completing it.) We started with a planchette valaisanne and some local wine. Then, we shared a fondue moitié-moitié that was divine. We spent hours enjoying our food and our conversation, nothing like we've ever done living back in the US. I'm so happy I got to experience this in Lausanne. Thank you for this, Le Vieil Ouchy!

My daughter and I wanted to try fondue in Switzerland so she found this restaurant on trip advisor…read more I also checked out reviews on Yelp. The restaurant is by the wharf with gorgeous views of the mountains. No one was dining inside but it was so windy outside several times that glasses blew off tables and shattered. Kind of scary. There were a few language problems with our server Pablo, but he did a good job. We ordered green and mixed salads for appetizers. They were great. Then we ordered cheese fondue with bread and potatoes. I liked the potatoes much better. It was getting cool after dark so we didn't stay for dessert. They had pie and ice cream on the menu. I didn't see chocolate. Oh, well.
