I've been ranking hookah experiences in DC, and this one has easily climbed to the top of the list. The hookah itself was nice and smooth. The music was top tier and it was a very chill atmosphere. Our server was attentive from the time we stepped into the establishment and super sweet throughout our time there. The drinks could have been better. I had a house margarita and it wasn't my favorite. Expect to pay for water as well as it will come bottled.

Nomad was super cute with a lovely atmosphere. There was only about a 5 minute wait when my friend and I arrived at 9:30 and we were able to sit outside. The bouncer at the bar was really nice and was able to answer my questions about the establishment. Things I liked about Nomad: - it's purely a hookah bar. No food just hookah and drinks - they are constantly replacing the coals - the blueberry something something was delicious - our waitress was super attentive but not too annoying - the drink prices weren't totally unreasonable - the hookah was super smooth!! Things I wasn't super hype about: - the outdoor seating area doesn't have any music. Would've been nice to have some background tunes with our hookah and drinks - the outdoor seating area is a bit cramped. I felt like I was sitting on top of my neighbors. We did, however, have some decent convo with our unexpected neighbors...so I guess that's good - there's no food! (I know I listed as a pro, but I did get hungry after a while but didn't necessarily wanna leave) Overall, a good experience. Will definitely return to try a few more flavors (on a full stomach)

While visiting Washington, my mom, my cousin, and myself decided to branch out from the downtown area to find a hookah bar. Nomad was very welcoming & Koy was a great waitress. Compared to Houston, TX the hookahs are pretty pricey, so she suggested we check out the hookah bars a few doors down, but I think she knew we would come back - we did. The other bars were not as welcoming & cozy as Nomad. My family & I really enjoyed ourselves here & we will definitely come back when we are in the Washington DC area. The hookah and drinks were on point, so if you're looking for a good hookah bar in the Washington DC area - Nomad is definitely the spot. :--)

Issa vibe! This hookah bar is . The music, hookah, and drinks are on point. Ask for Brittany, she's been super helpful. I'm here on vacation and already ready to book my flight back. #hookahbar #dmv #sundayfunday

Best hookah lounge on H street! A few things you must love to enjoy it here: Cozy space Good hookah Trap Music ! They have games on show days to entertain yourself with like super size jenga, connect four and I'm sure others. Hookah is reasonably priced and can even get it with alcohol ( although I feel no difference) Brittany never disappoints and always is efficient and professionally.

Lemon Hooka was smooth, best I've had in Shaw/Hst. I came on a Saturday night and the bouncer waved us in immediately. From there a hostess escorted us to the next available seating- patio! I was pleasantly surprised by the expediency of our hostess and the Hooka delivery. Hooka was steep ($27) but it's cheaper mon-Thursday. I dinged a star for the Saturday price. TIP:make sure your server honors the yelp check-in offer. I initially had issues as server requested for me to write a review - manager clarified correct policies :) They played hip-hop and demographics were urban. I loved the scene.

Nomad is the best Hookah spot in DC. Vibes are absolutely immaculate and the people behind the bar are even better than that. Great Capitol Hill spot for a night out. Even on a Tuesday, this place feels like a Saturday night. Tough to beat a place like this if you're looking for a top tier Hookah joint!

I love this place. It's super chill vibes and the waitresses/bartenders are all awesome. I frequent Nomads about once a month and I've never had bad service here. The coals are always refilled without asking. The drinks are always strong. The music is always on point and it's always a good crowd. Beware on weekends there's most likely going to be a wait. Especially now during the winter months since the outside patio isn't open. Seating is very limited. My favorite hookah flavor here is white peach. The only con I have is that they don't serve food. I've seen people walk next door to Horace and Dickie's Carryout and bring food back to Nomads. Only to have the bouncer at the door ask them to eat outside or have the bar hold their food until they leave.

This hookah bar is always a great time! Security is always quick when checking IDs and waiters are always down to earth and friendly. My group was seated quickly. Our waitress came over and introduced herself even though she was in the middle of serving other customers when we came on which was really appreciated. Once we put our drink and hookah orders in we settled in for small talk and watched the highlights on the tv. This was my first time sitting in their fenced, sidewalk patio. Very nice and well ventilated with fans. The hookahs came quickly. We selected the strawberry mint hookah. It had a mellow but flavorful taste. Drinks were reasonable priced and decent taste wise. Overall, I enjoyed the visit. I will definitely be back again.

The Gold Room DC has failed just as others. When we first arrived we requested Prosecco which they did not have. When given to other alternatives to the waiters (red wine) they didn't have that either. We opted for Moet Champagne along with 2 bottled waters. Which we were given plastic champagne flutes that clearly was reused. We drank directly from the bottles instead. Later another joined our group who actually went the bar to order a Jameson and Ginger Ale. While making the drink she noticed the bar tender attempting to use Sprite in her drink of Jameson. She politely said, I asked for ginger ale. The waiter stated, " we don't have ginger ale". As we continued, later we asked for 3 additional bottled waters. Guess what? They didn't have anymore bottled water... There's a Whole, foods, Walmart, and Giant on H Street. Did I mentioned someone pointed out the owners while sitting? The waitresses were the only positive asset. Genesis and Janet I believe there names to be. Hookah guy- not too friendly. This place has so much potential but could most certainly use an uplift with the level of commitment, cleanliness, layout and decor. Very janky, hole in the wall vibes.
