Only complaint is that the double gate latching mechanism was not great on day 1 and has caused some cracking During a recent windstorm a tree fell on a section of our fencing. I called Abbey Fritz to get a model number for our original fence and a quote to replace the downed section. First call, Penny very rude and stated that "we have a lot of customers to help before you." She could not pull up our original order and model number which would have made sufficed. I said that I would wait. About a week later, technician called and repeated the statement that there was still a long list of customers ahead of me. A week later, a technician called and said he would be out soon. A week later, a technician called and said he would be out that day. Two weeks after the last call from Abbey Fritz, I have not heard from the company. I have called and spoke with Penny twice. She again repeated that they have a long list of customers to deal with. She also stated, "the next time a technician calls, be sure to get his name." So now, the company's poor customer service, horrible inter-communications and record keeping is being blamed on me. Recommendation: Stay away from Abbey Fritz Fencing. They have no customer loyalty and are too lazy to follow through with a request. I will make my repair myself and try to find a fence panel that comes close to matching...as I would not want to give this company another dime.

He notated a corroded pipe, which I negotiated with the sellers to have handed, but he completely missed the fact that the hot water heater wasn't properly venting and has been slowing leaking carbon monoxide for literally years (5 total). Had an issue with it the other day and called a professional to come fix, and ended up having to completely replace it. The first question the plumber asked was if this pulled up on my home inspection & I double checked today to confirm that it didn't. I realize home inspectors aren't subject matter experts in all things, but this was a glaringly obvious issue once I understood more (as my water heater pulls from my HVAC system to heat the water). Also, inspector missed the broken vent that the water heater vented from, also a sign on obvious issues, which is on the side of my condo building. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this company, as I now feel like other issues were missed that I haven't found in almost 3 years of living in my home.

Having recently moved into a new house, I had missing screens, screens with holes, and window with faulty sashes. I had G&SH deal with the missing screens and broken sashes. To spread out the cost, I will hold off on the screens with holes until later. I know I could have gone to a hardware store to have new screens made for slightly less, but the convenience of them coming to me and the confidence that they were responsible for the precise measurements more than compensated for the minimal price difference. When they came back to do the repairs and installations they were in and out in a short period of time, again professional. It was all around a great experience and everything was EASY for me.
