The main thing is that Dr Gilberts took her time and didn't rush me out. We had engaging conversation and she easily established trust. It was frankly the first time I did NOT feel like another faceless copayment. I felt human and like she genuinely cared about the outcome of my health. A couple of years later, following a broken elbow, she advised me which ER to visit and then had a back-up plan if they were too busy to see me. While the Practice is currently associated with Baptist Health, the people in the office have been extremely helpful, courteous, and proactive. He is always great to work with and gives quick and accurate diagnosis. I like him because he is very blunt it does not pull punches. You need a straight shooting dr and that is what he is. The facility itself is quite large. They have a big spacious waiting room and quite a few patient rooms and even a lab Corp area to do blood testing. The facility is shared with a children's office and the lobby has a men's room and women's room for all patients.

He always called me back ASAP knowing my condition could go bad any minute. He referred me to other specialist who were good to me. I have moved to SF, CA for a year now and still have not found a Primary Doctor as good as Dr. May. Most doctors I found after him have no compassion and just focused on earning their fee. If I can stay in KY just to keep Dr. May as my Primary I would.
