ZERO STARS!!!!!!! As someone who works in this shopping center at another business, it's fair to say that I've given this nail salon MULTIPLE chances. I've had bad experience after experience and always said that maybe I just needed to try a different tech. I've had simple gel mani's, regular polish pedi's, acrylic full sets and fills here. My most recent experience was the WORST I've had, by far. The tech doing my pedicure tried to talk me out of the base color I wanted for my French because SHE didn't like it and got an attitude when I requested two coats instead of one. She drilled my toenails down so much when removing the previous gel polish, they started to thin and burn. The tech doing my finger nails was communicative in asking me as she was doing my nails, if I was liking them. They looked okay until the end when she was applying the French lines. They were not thorough, complete, edge to edge lines. This was the case for practically every nail. I had bubbles in my top coat and multiple crooked nails. I learned my lesson and will go to back to the more expensive nail salon. While aesthetically, this may look like a nice nail salon, I do not believe they have experienced nail techs and their services are most definitely NOT worth the price. Extremely disappointed- after making that clear multiple times and requesting things to be fixed; the male owner checking me out, tried to make jokes and light of situation instead of understanding the frustration coming from a client who paid for a service they not only didn't get, but was not happy with. read more

Don't upgrade the pedicure. They don't use timer for massage so you won't actually get it. It's fine for an in and out pedicure for about $38 + tip but don't expect anything great. It's fast and their pedicure dryers don't work so you have no choice but to self dry. This place will not wow you. read more

I took my little sister here to get a milk and honey pedicure and full liquid gel set for her birthday and it was an amazing experience! Lori worked on my French set for both the pedicure and full set that came out immaculate. Ruby worked on the French pedicure for my sister and Joanne finished the full liquid set for her nails. The atmosphere is relaxing, fresh, and modern. Recommend going here for nail services and will be back. read more

Really sad I am having to even leave this review but I submitted feedback on their website, waited over a week for them to contact me to make things right and never heard a word. This was my latest experience and they just lost a loyal customer..... Made an appointment two days before with a specific person to get my nails done and then added another appt for pedicure bc I like how she does my nails and when I got there they said she has the day off?! Why have a way you can book a technician online for them not to be there? Very inconvenient as this is my only day off during the week and made my entire days schedule just to get my nails done. Also, 2 days is plenty of time to reach out to me to let me know she wouldn't be there and then when I explained my frustration she just said well shes not here. I asked the person they brought to the front if they would at least take something off for my inconvenience and literally just a blank stare. I remembered why I only went once years ago and never returned. They are horrible. My nails were super thin after she added the gel. I asked for thick nails 3 times. She filed and shaped my nails and I asked AGAIN, about them being thick. She added the gel and didn't file them again. I asked for square then I told her again that I wanted square. Her reply was that I didn't say REALLY square, I just said square. My goodness, I'm almost 50 & didn't know there was a difference between square and really square. SMH. Silly me. I don't mind $50 but paper thin nails aren't worth that. She didn't want to add tips so I did my natural nails. Some weren't smooth, had bumps in them after she added another layer of gel. I've been visiting Noire since I relocated from New York 9 months ago now. Yesterday was my last visit. It's a beautiful spa, great phone etiquette when making appointments and the manager is a sweet woman. My issue is with the technicians. I've tried 4 people now. Recently I have noticed a decline in service. Rude attitudes, laziness poor manners. One woman I overheard trying to convince a customer to do another service because she didn't want to work hard. This was never a problem for me in New York. The technicians skills are also very limited for what you pay for. They don't know how to do designs or anything outside of basic services. My last pedicure was terrible. Crookedly cut toenails, a sloppy job on the gel pedicure. Often they rush, overly aggressive physically and verbally, talk too much about themselves and don't care and are quick to make a tip with the next client. Unprofessional. I really tried to give them my business but I will not be taken advantage of. I work too hard. read more

My old favorite nail tech no longer works at my old spot, so I figured I would try a place closer to home. Environment is nice but the service has much to be desired. The first time I went I got a pedicure and manicure. There was still callous on my feet that usually is removed when I go to the foot spa. The tech doing my mani was so bad that Ashley had to step in and assist. 2nd visit: The nail tech thought I wasn't going to say anything about the bubbles in the gel polish and just kept going until I had to correct him. Additionally, I had to use a personal nail drill to clean the hang pieces from under my nails. They offer complimentary drinks to some customers, but I had to ask. I won't even get on the little point system/check in mess. 3rd visit: So I go back again because I was too lazy to find a place and I had a trip the next day. This is why we shouldn't procrastinate ladies and gents. Nails were okay. Not the best, a few bubbles but I was in a rush and so I didn't push it. 6 days later my nail breaks in half. I attempt to go by twice to get it repaired but there is a wait. after the second time, I schedule an appointment at 6. I get there at 6:08 and sit for 11 min before I say something to Ashley about not even being greeted. Mind you she checked out a customer at the front where I was seated directly in front of the register and two other employees come to the front as well. She said she didn't see me. HA! Then decides to tell me I was late so I would have to wait. I acknowledge that I was late but this place is TOO MEDICORE and too high for me not to be greeted and not get excellent service. Go where you are appreciated and not tolerated. I'll stop being lazy and find another place. read more

This used to be my preferred spot, however I will definitely be finding a new salon. I went to this salon before as it was clean and in a convenient area, they always did a decent job with my nails, not great, but again.. clean and convenient. Last Monday I went and had a full set of acrylic tips put on with dip powder. I have done this multiple times at this salon over the past year and they always last at least a month. Last Friday my first two nails came off and the rest started falling off over the next few days, as of last night - all of my nails had come off. I called this morning to let them know the entire set that I paid for 10 days ago had fallen off and they said I could come in today for 50% off. I said that is ridiculous, as I paid almost $100 for these a week ago and they usually last over a month and have all already come off. She insisted I come in and I told her I could come this afternoon at 430, she said, no we busy then, come at 1 or 3. I told her I had to work and I could come as soon as I get off work, she said sorry, we busy. Absolutely ridiculous. This isn't the first time I have had an issue with scheduling too. Sometimes they say they are busy and I walk in and they are laughing in the back room. Overall, I am very disappointed and will most definitely be finding a new nail salon. I stopped in for an eyebrow wax two weeks ago 10/20/23...worst decision ever. The technician tore my skin around my eyebrows really bad. I returned 3 days later with a huge scab on my eyebrows and asked for their insurance information to submit an injury claim. I was told I had to go to the doctor first. I went to my dermatologist called to let them know I had my injury report and was told to bring it to the nail bar for the owner to review and discuss with insurance provider if injury is covered. I told her I was not bringing in my medical information, and that I would speak with the claim rep myself if she would provide the number. Once I threaten to call the State, she finally said that she passed along my information to her insurance provider. To date, 11/7/23 I have not received a call. I will have to take further action. Please do not go in for an eyebrow wax. read more

I have gone to Noire since it first opened. The ownership has changed since it first opened and after coming here many, many times, I think I'm done. The last 6 + times I have had a manicure or pedicure it's been about zipping through and not taking time to ensure things are done in the best way. Today I had a mani/ pedi. The guy I had went so fast it was painful, the massage was less than 45 seconds for each leg and never massaged my feet and less than 30 seconds on my hands. To take off my gel he used the grinding machine and it hurt due to too much pressure as he was trying to go so fast. For the cost (mani / pedi's are expensive and this place is on the higher end) and with so many choices, I'm bringing my business elsewhere. read more

I am from Morehead City nc, and was visiting my sister in Raleigh when we made a trip to Noire which is not far from my sister's home. We arrived at 2:30 pm on Friday for pedicures. The man who did my pedicure was rude and rough. I am very sorry I didn't get his name. I told him several times he was hurting me and my feet were sensitive, he smiles but didn't seem to understand. He cut all nails extremely short! I didn't want polish and yet still charged full price. He was finished in less than 30 minutes! I said something to the women who took the cash $37.00 without tip! She didn't acknowledge my concern. Today is Saturday & I think I may have an infection on my big toe! Can't wear shoes!! My sister had a woman who did a nice job on her pedicure, although finished in less than 30 minutes. I will NEVER go to or recommend Noire to anyone!! read more

I'm torn between 3 and 4 stars, but am deciding on 4 stars because I know reviews are very important. But my experience here was simply not great or particularly relaxing. I had issues with their customer service and overall did not feel relaxed during my time here. I walked in for an appointment and there were two people at the front area. They kind of grunted/motioned me to where I needed to be -- go pick your color, then someone else motioned for me to wash my hands. There was no "welcome" -- literally or even figuratively. I had a lavender pedicure here and it was good. I liked the warm neck compress that accompanied my pedicure, and the guy gave me a great foot massage too. You are allowed 1 drink, but the wine was served in small plastic cups and you get ~2-3 ounces. You're better off using your 1 drink on coffee or water. They are very strict about 1 drink per person. But when it was time to go, it was time to leave now. Rather than letting me stay and dry my toe nails, he sprayed some quick drying spray, gathered my things, and had me check out. I was rushed out. I may give this place another shot at a later time. The biggest issue I had with Noire is not the talent -- my pedicure was fine and the nail polish looks good -- but it's the fact that people seemed unwelcoming and rude. It made for a stressful experience, and that's really not what I want when getting a pedicure. read more

Took my friend and i to get acrylics because on the website it said simple acrylics were $40+ and we got there, had to wait 20 minutes, and then got told the simple designs we wanted to do were $78 and that doesn't even include the tip. i wanted french tips on short length acrylics and my friend wanted solid colors with one accent nail. she told us it would be $78 each. i ended up not getting anything and when i told the nail tech she proceeded to laugh at me and talk to the other nail techs in their language about us. horrible service and my friend's nails (she got normal polish, $27) look horrible. they didn't clean her nails and there's polish all over her skin. i feel embarrassed taking my friend here and i will never come back. read more

I wanted to love it but my latest experience wasn't good. The technician I got gave me an amazing pedi but my nail dip which cost $50-$60 not so much. Typically my nail dips last between 2-3 weeks, but I had many chip at the tips and one break right in the middle. She told me my "work" was making my dip not stay on, but I've been getting dip for a long time and I think this just wasn't cured properly or buffed too thin. So she fixes my broken nail after basically making me feel like it's my fault the dip wasn't staying on after only 5 days. BUT when I left I realized how misshaped the one nail is!!! It looks like a nasty claw! I don't think I'll be coming back here. Custom service is everything! I spend almost $150 with tip every 2-3 weeks between gel pedis and my dips here, but they just lost my business. It's the middle finger in the pics (huge lump at the top). read more

The layout was nice. But the service was very disappointing. After waiting 25 minutes while I watched employees wander around, this girl finally started doing my nails. Barely said one word, did not ask what I wanted, when I corrected her on the gel color pattern that I wanted she was rude and acted as if it was my problem. Did my gel nails in 20 minutes. They're bumpy, and poorly painted cause she rushed. Definitely felt like she was trying to do quantity and not quality. Will probably not return. The other employees seemed kind of nice.
