I needed to stop by because my machine stopped working and my dirty clothes began to pile up, so looked for a local one nearby. This had great reviews compared to others and I can clearly see why. The employee here (possibly manager), was very attentive and kind during my experience, also was quick to help others with a sense of urgency. He noticed I was having trouble with the detergent dispenser because I did not have singles on hand, and asked if I needed change. Once I put the coins in and ordered what I wanted, I ordered the wrong detergent... (way to give myself away). Knowingly it was my fault at hand, I let him know that I'm sure they don't do refunds but I ordered the wrong detergent and if he wanted it back. Without questioning anything, he told me I can still get my money back. Damn, this type of excellent service threw my worries out the window, and for sure made me comfortable to come back again. Also parking is very open since if you don't find it in the lot, there's plenty of street parking, atleast around the time I arrived. Overall experience was easily a 5 and machines were all clean, ready to go and in working order. To the employee who helped me for my first experience, thank you for your generosity, attentiveness and you definitely need a raise.

First of all, I had been washing my clothes at this place since December 2024 when it was called…read moreThe Laundromat of North Hollywood. Below are pictures I snapped the night of August 28, 2026 on my way home. The day I snapped the pictures below was four days after The Laundromat of North Hollywood was supposed to open up, but as you can see in the pictures engines were removed out of some of the machines, other appliances in the laundromat were stacked against the wall, the neon sign was off (it's been off for over a month), and etc. The place is now called Luxe Laundry with a temporary sign in front to let people know of its new name and new management. As for the old place, The Laundromat of North Hollywood, I had good times in there. Constant peace and quiet, other customers mind their own business, I never had problems with the washers or dryers, the workers there left customers alone but were around when you needed them. The Laundromat of North Hollywood had tabletops and chairs for customers to sit at when they were waiting for their clothes to wash or dry, vending machines, bathrooms, and two change machines. This laundromat had everything you could want as a customer, I just hope the new management keeps this place intact and doesn't change much. But as they say, change can be good and it can be bad. I haven't been in this establishment since July (the place closed down for repairs, new mangement, and etc. back in early August), so I have no idea what the heck is going on inside this place. In closing, I hope the new management doesn't screw up what was good about the Laundromat of North Hollywood because if they do, I'll go elsewhere. Here's to hoping that this place continues what the old management did and tried to do, but better.

Visited 08/09/26…read more This was my first time visiting The Laundromat of North Hollywood, and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. This location is one of my sister's go-to laundromats because it's only a few blocks from her home. Since I was staying with her, we decided to walk over together. I carried my laundry by hand, while my sister brought hers in a wagon since she had blankets and several additional items. We arrived around 8:40, and even double checked the sign outside that says last load by 9pm. However, the gentleman working that evening immediately stopped us at the door and told us that the last load was actually at 8:30 PM. The laundromat was fairly empty at the time, so being turned away when we arrived before the stated last-load time was especially frustrating. What made this even more disappointing is that my sister has previously done laundry here after 9:00 PM when a different female employee was working. The inconsistency in when customers are actually allowed to start their final loads is concerning, especially when the business is advertised as being open until 11:00 PM. If the last load is 8:30 PM, that should be clearly and consistently communicated to customers and reflected in the posted hours. Customers should not have to guess which closing policy will apply depending on who happens to be working. My sister and I walked all the way over with our laundry only to be turned away, which was incredibly frustrating and resulted in a very poor first impression for me. I value businesses that are consistent and respectful of their customers' time, and unfortunately, this experience fell short. I won't be returning, but I strongly recommend confirming the actual last-load time before making the trip, as the hours and policies appear to be inconsistent.

I don't understand what seems to be the problem with our society?? Be happy that you have a decent, close by laundry mot to wash your clothes. Near by are so many stores and restaurants . I haven't been to this laundry mot for over a decade. My son usually does our laundry, but this time he was very busy with work and couldn't do it. We normally do our laundry at our apartment building. But, since it is a small building, there is only one 1washer and 1 dryer on each side of the building. So 4 in total. I decided to do my own laundry on the 16th of April and remembered to go to this laundry mot. I even forgot about this place. True, the place needs a little renovation/remodeling, but as long as it does it's job... who cares?!! I had 2 loads of clothes to wash and the minute that I walked in felt very welcomed by the lady in the office who barely knew how to speak English. We somehow communicated. Did my 2 loads of laundry, washed perfectly, removed all the dirt/stains that were on my clothes and dried completely after putting like a $1.25 in each dryer. From what I remember the last time that I was there, prices went up tremendously and drastically. That was kind of shocking for me. $3.50 for each wash that only takes 12 minutes to wash? I didn't like that. But, since I was already there with my hamper full of clothes to wash, I wasn't planning to turn back and go find somewhere else to wash my clothes. Got the job done, still had time to eat a light meal that I took with me, even though they have perks like fully stocked vending machines from drinks to candy, chips, and laundry detergent of so many different kinds. And let's not forget a coffee/latte/capuchino, espresso machine. They also had few items for sale right in the front of the office. Few places I have noticed cute artificial flowers on top of the counters. Plenty of washers and dryers and folding tables. Everyone was doing their laundry and minding their own business. Place was full of diverse people and yes, a lot of black people too. I don't understand why some black people think that they are being discriminated against? While I was there, there were a lot of black men and women with their kids doing their laundry. So people please...... I needed roll of quarters since I didn't have enough with me, and the lady in the office gladly handed me a roll of quarters. Place was clean, little outdated, few machines were out of order, but had signs on for us NOT to use. Will be repaired soon! Things happen lovely people of USA. Nothing and nobody is PERFECT!! Well, maybe I am. I don't know! Haven't tried their fluff and fold service, but maybe one day I will. I was reading in the reviews that they do an EXCELLENT JOB in that department. Open late hours. So what else can you ask for?? HuH? Will return next time it's time to do my laundry again. Cost of living has gone up and still going to go up. So does that mean we have to sop living?? Eating, going to places? Doing our laundry????
