Okay so I just moved here less than 3 weeks ago and have already experienced a handful of problems. There has been a kitchen sink leak, water pouring down from the bathroom light coming from the tub upstairs, and loud creaking noises whenever my upstairs neighbors just walks around. I guess the creaking is due to the building being built a while ago but damn it's so loud it wakes me up in the middle of the night! There's also a bunch of bugs I see time to time, including an effin cockroach in my tub!! Like wtf I literally JUST moved in and experiencing all this..? I asked if they compensate in any way and they said no. Also guest parking sucks here lol. I was so excited to finally live on my own and all this has taken some of that excitement away. read more

Ive been living at these apartments for 9 months, and have found the place to be clean,, well maintained and peaceful. Any requests have been taken care of by the leasing office immediately.. The pool area and premises is always neat and clean.. The staff is really friendly and willing to help with anything and everything.. management is the best I have experienced in my life.. I have never had any parking issues, and the complex is very convenient to freeways and shopping.. I walk to most of the places when I need anything.. The set up is really great and the pool is amazing especially because it is heated. I feel so secure in the complex because of all the gates and fencing. And the atmosphere is fantastic. Definitely will be renewing my contract with Nogal Feliz. Even my fellow renters are polite and respectful. So happy here! read more

I am writing this after a year at Nogal Feliz. We have decided to renew our lease in another unit. Management, in specific Mr. Wynn and Adele have been great with us. They've listened to any concerns, or simple feedback and acted upon it, which led to us being able to attain our new apartment. Any issue that we've had such as maintenance or such has been addressed and solved in a very timely manner. The area is quiet, not much foot or vehicle traffic on Walnut except for "rush hour" (4-6 pm). We've felt safe while living here and are even allowed to install our own Ring Doorbell which amplifies safety for us. The complex is cleaned on a daily basis, gardening weekly, and trash is picked up multiple times during the week. Location is nice and within walking distance to restaurants, grocery store, water, etc. Target, Walmart, Costco, movie theater, are within 1-3 miles. Neighbors are nice, friendly, and not noisy. There is one assigned parking and another unassigned spot although there is no parking for visitors; not a big concern for ourselves though. Almost all of the parking area IS gated which gives you some peace of mind. The laundry area is always available 24/7 which means that it is never full and there's always a washer/dryer available. This area is also cleaned daily and maintained very well. During the move-out/in inspection we had the option to be present and felt like we were treated very fairly. The 5 stars are due to the above, however the actual apartments aren't necessarily "luxurious", although comfortable and spacious yes. Both times we've received our units, they've been really clean which has facilitated our move-in. read more

We got a studio for a short-term summer lease. The condo was clean and very well maintained when we moved in. It was a lot of cabinets and drawers, which is really necessary in a small house. The managing team is very friendly and helpful. We needed their help on a few occasions and they did their job perfectly! We had a problem with AC when we just moved in, after a few attempts to repair it they finally substituted it with a new one. Also all maintenance issues were solved quickly. Awesome apartments, pretty quiet and safe, located in Tustin. Staff on site is always friendly and welcoming. There is a nice pool and a few grills as well!!! yesss! I really love the area where these apartments are located, everything is just so close by whether it be: Restaurants, bars, Fast food, grocery stores, Doughnuts, ect. all of this is right around the corner. There's 2 sushi places, 3 bars, and a Korean BBQ place all within 5 minutes of walking and all of them are amazing!!!! Just recently gates were installed in the entrances to this complex to make this A lot safer/ more private, guest parking is a breeze as well, just call the provided number, give the car details, how many days the car will be there and you are all set. Ive only had one small issue in my apartment since living here. I called the maintenance staff and they made sure to take care of it within 24 hrs from when i called it in! Sweeet! Nogal Feliz apartments was my wife and I's first place together and it was a great experience! The property manager named Lana made the process of moving in very quick and simple. The apartment was definitely spacious and perfect for just my wife and I. The amenities were definitely my favorite part as they had a pool, bbq grills, and its own onsite laundry room. Not to mention that they also had great restaurants across the street! Very unfortunate we had to leave this place but we received a tremendous amount of help from the managers Gerald and Anna during the move out process. Ok, now Arnel Management Company has a "Yelp manager". I guess as such a company, you indeed need a professional PR to cover up the filthy things you've done to the tenants. Good move. When my "towing incident" happened, I did a little bit online researching on "tow, Arnel Management Company". It appeared that towing is pretty common among the properties owned by this company. There were a lot more complaints online written by the victimized tenants and the complaints are still growing. Quoting Fullerton Observer Newspaper about a series of towing activities in April 2015, "West Coast Metro Patrol, is hired by Arnel Management to patrol the Homestead complex - and is authorized by them to call To & Mo for towing of vehicles." (TENANT TARGETS OF REGULAR TOWING BY FULLERTON APARTMENT COMPLEXES WHERE THEY LIVE, https://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=976488665718962&id=284602838240885). Now that I read this news, connecting the towing with the frequent transfer of managers around their properties. I suspect that they switch out the manager every time they target at the tenant and tow their cars, so that you cannot confront the manager who told you to park at the guest parking. ------------------------------- Arnel Management, you claim that you value my comments and are using my feedback to improve your service. No, you do not! If you truly value my comments, you would have messaged me to make it right. I still have all the receipts from the towing company. It was my lucky day when I decided to walk into Nogal Feliz and met Lana and her colleague. I happened to snag the last apartment that was available at the time with a view overlooking the pool. My experience with Lana, the property manager, so far has been great. So here's the short list. Pros: -Access to the local food fair. It's a hop and a skip to Hole Mole and Gyu-Kaku (if that's your jam) -Facilities are maintained very well. The laundry facility is open 24 hours. -Staff is very accommodating and responsive -If you live inside the gates, it feels very safe. I feel comfortable walking around the complex at night albeit, I'm not too sure about the neighborhood at night. I still need to scope it out. :P -The recreational areas are well maintained. Other residents seem to really enjoy the amenities, which is a pro or con. -My neighbors/ residents Nogal Feliz are very friendly. Cons: Parking sucks. Guest parking is limited. The area wasn't developed to have ease of access to parking. Don't try to park across the street at the business complexes overnight. There's someone patrolling at night ready to tow any car exceeding the 2 hour parking limit. Other than parking, I have really enjoyed living here. read more

I really like these apartments. They are very clean and well kept. Maintenance responds to all problems quickly and the current manager is very sweet. I have never seen any cockroaches inside or outside of my apartment. I have found a few ants in my bathroom, but not enough to even make a trail. I also feel very safe here. I live behind the gate which gives me a sense of security. There is also a regular police patrol around the neighborhood, and their response time is lightning-fast. I hear sirens regularly, but this complex has never been their destination. A great thing about these apartments is that they have an AC unit and a dishwasher. They were also freshly painted when we moved in. It felt brand new. The move in process was very simple and the manager helped us every step of the way. I really love this neighborhood. There is a bus stop right outside the complex. Several restaurants and grocery stores on the surrounding blocks so you have everything you need! Very close to everything! It is close to the freeway too, which is nice but it can be pretty loud if you leave your window open. As others have said parking is a problem if you have more than one car. You do get a designated space but there is no space for guests. There is street parking in front of the complex but you will have a hard time finding it in the morning or in the afternoon/evening. There's a shopping center across the street with a parking lot, but if you park there too long they will leave a note on your car threatening to tow you. read more

I managed to get an apartment overlooking the pool, and while I haven't been at these apartments for more than a month, it's already been one of the best apartment living situations that I have experienced during my 9 years living in Orange County. The move in process was pretty straightforward and my girlfriend basically demanded that we live here after meeting with Klarissa and Katy; both of whom were more than willing to go out of there way to accommodate us by making anything that they could as easy as possible (handling a fridge rental, room measurements, installing a taller shower arm so that I'm not in the fetal position while showering, etc.). This has gone so far as Klarissa telling us to stop by her apartment at 11PM because we were unable to make it at an earlier hour (She's the property manager and lives onsite) after she caught an error on our car registration materials for parking and she didn't want us to get towed. Both, Katy and Klarissa know my girlfriend and I by name, say hello when we walk by the office, and seem to be pretty passionate about providing a welcoming atmosphere. There was even one occasion where staff was waiting by the gates with breakfast for tenants as we were leaving for work. It's been awhile since I last lived in an apartment, but I don't remember this being a standard practice. The parking is something that can definitely be problematic if you've got two cars. There are maybe 20 "open" spots, and about half of those are reserved for people that "own" them as a part of their lease. Word on the street is that this practice is going away, so the parking situation should get a bit better. Although, guests are still going to lack parking, but tenants should be able to find a spot. Also, If you have someone visit then they'll be in a tight spot so far as parking their car goes, and having them stay overnight is playing the "will they get towed" game on hard mode. I haven't had many visitors, and of those not a single one has been towed, but it's difficult to figure out where to park their cars to ensure that it doesn't happen. Something else to bear in mind would be that the planes passing overhead might be a deal breaker for some. The commercial planes are pretty loud, but are also impressive to look at during the night. I haven't had any problems with them, but I had previously lived next to the train tracks and learned to sleep/live through the sometimes 5+ minute long freight trains passing by, so the planes are actually a much easier noise level/time to deal with than what I have become relatively skilled at ignoring. The sound can be loud enough to drown out the tv and put a pause to conversation, but it's only a 30 second to minute long pause and there are a number of smaller planes that don't make much noise at all. All in all, I had initially let out a very loud internal groan at the thought of living in another apartment and dealing with all of the things that come along with doing so. Fortunately, so far Nogal Feliz has been a great experience! The neighbors are friendly, the area is quiet, and the overall feeling is much safer than I had thought that it would be. As an added bonus, I've also found a number of great food spots within walking distance! From the outside this community doesn't look too impressive, but once you go into it you'll find a quaint little spot that will grow on you. I'm going to be completely honest in this review. If you like your apartments to be old and falling apart, and also expect your deposit to be completely screwed come and live here. Parking also sucks. We were a resident here for 3 years up until 1 month ago. First year was ok. We did not realize how old the apartments were but our old manager was really cool. We changed apartments 1 year later and received 250 dollars back on our deposit which I understand. They moved us to a new apartment. The place started falling apart right away. Every knob you pull on the cabinets come apart with no force applied. The curtains fall apart after a month. Everything was super old. Guess what, when we decided to move out for good, this time we got 0 dollars back. They even. harged us for the cabinet knobs that were already dead on arrival to be replaced. There are far better communities for the price in the surrounding areas. Our car also got broken into in the car port. Rear glass completely shattered. We had to replace it. All the residents felt the same as us. Save yourself the drama and do NOT do it. read more

I've lived at a couple of places around the O.C. and I haven't found a place with such a great location and atmosphere. When I first moved in I was really worried because I had read some of the negative reviews on here. I must say that everything has definitely changed since I had one of my best experiences renting anywhere from these guys. There are some of the best restaurants in orange county within walking distance (Gyu Kaku is world famous as a Japanese grill and Guru Palace is the best Indian anywhere in the O.C.) The staff at Nogal are SO wonderful! And the pool is practically a private pool. Not to mention that the rates are better than anywhere else in Tustin/Irvine. You get to be close to Irvine and everything that entails but you're paying Anaheim prices. It's great. I can't recommend Nogal Feliz any higher. It's a little gem of a place. read more

I lived on the side facing Walnut, not within the gate of the gated community. I lived here for 1 year late 2011 to late 2012. I'd like to start out by saying I'm not mad at this company and not everything I list is their fault. I'm just going to be as honest as I can as I wish I had known this before moving in. In some cases I did... The good and the bad... You should AVOID this place at all cost if: 1. You don't like insects. Ants are soo common during the heat. And I should have listened to other reviews mentioning roaches. They come out at night and they are not going away. We noticed insects pretty regularly coming out of the drain however because there was no central A/C we would also leave the bathroom, slider and front windows open during the hot months. Whenever we did this we would notice 5 to 10 baby cockroaches in our bath later that night. So we had to stop using the bathroom window. Roaches would come out and run over my feet, dart across the room, or hang in the bath tub. It was too regular for a clean home, this place was infested. I would very regularly wake up at night and flip on the bathroom light only to see a full grown cockroach run under the sink. Good luck getting it sprayed, it's only worth while to do it before you move in. The laundry list of requirments prior to spraying amount to you basically moving all of your stuff. 2 If you have more than 1 car. I can say with CERTAINTY, PARKING IS HORRIBLE! It's true, don't kid yourself, there is nothing good about the parking unless you only have 1 car with a designated spot. Even then you will still occasionally experience a gardner, prospect, move in, or delivery driver blocking you out of your spot because there is no loading or unloading zones and barely any guest parking. There is street parking BUT you will never get it. The only time it's available is for the first 45 minutes after street sweeping is over. You know parking is bad when people from neighboring communities carpool over to your street just to park their car there. It was so bad that one of these carpoolers was in such a hurry to get their spot that they left their car running and hopped into the car that was giving them a ride back to their community down the street. The car literally sat there running for 8-12 hours before running out of gas with the keys still in the ignition. 3. You enjoy central A/C. There is a wall unit provided but you will have to run it all night to keep the place cool and to reach the master bedroom. We had fans, and the wall unit. It worked but the power bill from having all of that running all the time was higher than it is now with central a/c where I live now. 4. You enjoy peace and quiet. The community, overall is pretty quiet, but you are in the direct flight path for every single airliner that lands at John Wayne. Visually it's stunning, you get a close up view of these planes as the fly over. The noise however is loud enough that if your windows are open and you are having a conversation, you will need to wait until after that plane flies over before continuing your conversation. 5. If you like a friendly safe community. Just 2 years ago a young man was killed in the neighboring community up McFadden to gang related violence. If you live in the front of Walnut you will have kids, teens, and lots of "on foot" and "on bike" commuters passing by your window all day. Occasionally you'll have what looks like a small gang walking by, the occasional homeless roaming, and drug induced teenager walking up and down the street. I'll admit the previous 3 classes of people passed by a handfull of times the year I lived here. But you know what was an even more rare experience? Common courtesy. I can say that there was literally only 1 or 2 experiences over the year I lived here that someone would say hi back, smile back, or even acknowledge your presence. My GF dropped all of her stuff on the lawn because a small family wouldn't move over to share the sidewalk with her. I'd also regularly see this poor homeless guy sleeping just yards from my front door in front of the abandoned tennis school. While working at the bank I decided to ask a Tustin PD officer what he thought of where I lived. He flat out said it was a bad area and that they spend most of their energy dealing with that particular area. I'd have to agree, you would more often than not see police in the neighborhood. 6. If you like living with a good management company. Arnel is no good. They can't keep any good managers because they don't know how to treat their employees. Search Arnel glassdoor, the comments on there coincide with what I experienced and from what I heard from some of their staff. The good: 1. It was close to my job at the bank 2. Central location 3. Lots of food and restaurants, kind of cool being able to walk to Gyu Kaku. Drink and walk home. 4. The pool was simple, but not crowded during the summer. read more

Wow, Got a call from Arial to renew the lease but when I said no, she got really pushy. Then made it extremely difficult to give our one months notice. After several calls and emails, finally called her the day of when I was told that we had to fill in a form due the same day. Nothing else is acceptable. She over-talks you the entire time, assumes what you're saying and then accuses you of yelling when you raise your voice to get a word in edgewise. Whew, they must be really hard up. I am new to this complex but I already LOVE LOVE living here! It feels like living in a resort as opposed to just another apartment complex. The apartment is spacious and super clean. There's always someone maintaining the garden outside and keeping up with the cleanliness of the complex. The landlord Lana is the best! Parking here is horrible. Do not move here if you are going to rent a one bedroom apartment! My boyfriend and I rented an apartment here and we both had our own cars, it was a nightmare! They give you one spot and the other person has to park about a mile away (not exaggerating). Then if you have two cars registered with them, even though they only give you one spot they won't let you have guests park in the guest parking!! I've spoken to their leasing agent Mary on several occasions and she always seems too busy to answer questions, very short on the phone and has a major attitude. When we first moved to this community a year ago we were greeted with a beautiful and welcoming smile. But since then there has been about 6 different leasing agents and that says a lot about the management company, unprofessional. We recently had one of our vehicles towed out of the community due to not having a permit displayed. WE HAVE LIVED HERE FOR A YEAR AND HAVE NEVER DISPLAYED A PERMIT ON EITHER VEHICLE WHILE PARKING INSIDE THE GATES. We were informed that one of our vehicles was never registered and thats why we never received a parking permit. Hmmm, our lease is up next month and now you decide to implement rules? And yes this paper was turned in along with my renter insurance policy number. Not to mention, this whole time we were under the impression that both vehicles were registered and parking in our community was safe considering we haven't been towed in the last 11 months. And there are no signs posted entering the community stating that parking is by permit only. We have seen so many faces come and go recently and a lot of people have been moving out, not in. Sadly to say because of this and the way the "new" leasing agent handled the situation we will not be renewing our lease. Tustin has so many other beautiful communities to offer with amazing amenities. Our hard earned money is precious to us and having to spend almost $300 out of our pocket because of YOUR mistake isn't professional at all. This is not how you run a proper business. Running tenants out over a couple hundred dollars is nasty on your part. Thank goodness our lease is coming to a end. RENTERS BEWARE. read more

I also will like to add that the surroundings are so well maintained, very very clean and the landscape is very pretty. I truly appreciate the Managment of the building. I moved to California and I didn't know anyone. As soon as I arrived Lana hosted me with coffee and etc. We finished up with paper work pretty quickly. After that Lana and guys who work at Nogal Feliz helped me with my giant three luggages. I've never felt better than that! My apartment was very very clean, as the Managment takes care of every detail, including a new carpet for a new tenant. While my two months stay I felt happy, as Lana would call and check up on me sometimes. She gave me her personal phone so I could call her any time, moreover, she lives in the same building which makes everything so much easier. The surrounding is very quite, clean, laundry works 24 hours and also very clean. The location is great as well, it has many restaurants, gym, post office, banks, gas station and etc. As I mentioned before, I truly appreciate a hard work that the Managment does every day! read more
