I moved here for work and have absolutely loved living here. The community is quiet, peaceful, and surrounded by so much greenery, making it a wonderful place to call home. The residents are respectful, and the atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. One of the best things about living here has been Andreea, the property manager. She is incredibly kind, responsive, and efficient. Anytime I've had a question or needed something, she has taken care of it quickly and professionally, which has made living here completely stress-free. I'm only moving because I'm relocating to Los Angeles. Otherwise, I would have happily stayed. Lived in a 1-bedroom from April 2021- April 2025 Pros: 1. Great and quiet neighborhood 2. Dog Friendly 3. Mini Gym/Pool/Jacuzzi 4. 2 Parking spots, 1 assigned spot and 1 garage with gate 5. The landlord, Andreea is an amazing person that does her best to make your stay pleasant 6. Maintenance is fast and does an amazing job 7. High ceiling living rooms makes the apartment feel big and roomy 8. Pretty secure community as someone who purchases several items from Amazon, I have never had a package stolen that was left at my front door. 9. They have yearly tenant appreciation months where Andreea gives out monthly gifts such as, breakfast snacks, kitchen cleaning, money for laundry, starbucks giftcards 10. Lastly, there is a Christmas Decoration competition with the whole community where I won 1st place the past 2 years and was given giftcards. Cons: 1. Bedroom and Kitchen are on the smaller side 2. No guest parking which can make things very frustrating at times 3. Strict no guest in pool area 4. Bathroom has no window so ventilation can get pretty bad if you like taking hot showers. 5. Paid shared laundry rooms (not a huge deal, but can get annoying when people leave their clothes after machine is finished or forget to clean out the lint from the dryer. I've been living here for over 2 years now and have to say it was the best choice I've ever made to settle in this place. It's conveniently located near major freeways and yet, the neighborhood is quiet. Most importantly, Andreea, the office manager has done a great job keeping this place nice and clean. She is always quick and attentive to your maintenance requests, making sure everything is resolved in a timely manner. Downtown Tustin is about 5 minutes/less away (lots of great restaurants, bakery and coffee shops to try) which makes it even better. A big part of what makes McFadden Village such a fantastic place to live is the incredible staff. Andreea, the Property Manager, goes above and beyond to ensure that everything runs smoothly. She is always approachable and quick to address any questions or concerns, making residents feel valued and heard. It's a very clean and quiet community with very nice neighbors. The manager, Andreea, goes above and beyond trying to help with any concerns you may have. She would always go the extra step to make sure you feel welcomed and cared for under her complex. I had a studio unit which was perfect for a simple lifestyle. Although the "studio" term is usually associated with small and compact, it will never feel crammed if you strategically place your items and furniture. The complex itself is great, the community members are all friendly and most can be seen walking their pets. The amenities include a pool, jacuzzi, and a small gym. I rarely ran into other community members while using these amenities. If you are on the fence about applying for this complex, this is your sign to do so! I lived here for almost two years and had an amazing experience. Andreea is the main reason why! I had few problems while living here but the few requests/issues I had, she responded immediately. Everything was always taken care of as quickly as possible. The community in general is great as well! I felt safe living there and loved being so close to Old Town Tustin. Also only about 10-15 mins from UCI, and 10-15 minutes from Newport which is amazing. The community was super quiet too! My husband and I will have lived here for a week shy of 2 years by the time we move out in a few weeks. Our experience here has outweighed our expectations and we're so happy we chose McFadden Village Apartments as our first solo living as a married couple. The complex is very pet friendly (we have a rabbit and a cat), and neighbors are always walking their friendly dogs. If we could stay longer, we would. Work and personal endeavors are taking us up north and eventually out of state. But our time here will always be treasured. From day one, the property manager, Andreea Padurean, has been very kind, honest, responsible, and always a text away. There was never more than a few days' wait for any maintenance requests to be fixed. And if there was, it was due to personal availability conflicts. (They're always able to come in and fix the issues if you're not home, but I prefer to be ). You have the option to pay for a 2nd uncovered parking spot, if availability permits (which has been great for our larger car). Just keep in mind that if you turn down your spot, there's a waitlist you'll have to go on to get one down the road. So if you need one or can afford it, get one. We made the mistake of giving ours away in the beginning and it took around a year to finally get another one. The only con I have about living here was the garage break-ins that happened awhile back. Multiple garages were targeted over the course of a few months, ours being one of them. Whoever it was, stole over a grand worth of personal belongings that we had to deal with insurance to cover and replace. Yes, we had a lock. And yes, some other residents did too. That didn't stop the thieves since they cut the whole metal latch off the door itself. Obviously this isn't something the complex management can control. And they do give you a fair share of warnings about not leaving anything valuable in the garages. Some residents have nothing in theirs, while others have packed spaces. It's ultimately up to you, but just know that like with anywhere else, theft can happen so be smart about how and where you store your belongings. There's no rules against smoking of any kind, so be mindful that your neighbors may be tobacco or marijuana users. My favorite part of living here has been how quiet it's been. No loud noise, no screaming kids, no arguing couples or families. Literal peace and quiet, which is more than we'd ever hoped for. We came from living at a luxury apartment to McFadden Village and we had kinder and quieter neighbors here than we did at our previous apartment. The property is ALWAYS clean. Gardeners and landscapers come regularly to maintain all the foliage and keep the walkways accessible. Having a gym on site has been very nice and helpful. It's small, but definitely does the job. We've loved the pool, but the jacuzzi definitely needs some updating. We've gone many many times and the water is never hot enough. It's lukewarm, at best. Overall, we've loved it here. Aside from the garage incident, it's been paradise and we'd do it all over again in a heartbeat. No place is ever going to be perfect, but this was more than enough for what we hoped for and wanted. And trust me when I say that Andreea is the best property manager you could ask for. If it existed, I'd probably win the award for the most resident texts to her over these past 2 years lol (oops ). But for real, there wasn't ever an issue she didn't do her best to try and help me with or fix on the spot and I'm very grateful for how helpful and kind she's been! I just recently moved out of McFadden Village last week, and I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for an affordable and nice community. This is the first apartment I moved into, and I left due to my own personal reasons-- I would have stayed here for longer if I could have. Andreea the manager is nice and helpful, any time I reached out to her she would respond within a timely manner. From the second I reached out to the moment I moved out, she was kind and I don't think you find that in a lot of managers. She helped make sure I was aware of anything that would possibly be taken from my deposit so that I didn't deal with any surprises when it came down to that. Again, I don't really think a lot of managers take the time to do that, and that really stood out to me. The area itself is really quiet and clean. This isn't the type of place where you have to worry about loud neighbors or just annoying neighbors for that matter. The pool and gym are always clean and well maintained. They have landscapers every week, and any maintenance you need is always easy to schedule. There were a couple times the laundry machines were down, but it was taken care of pretty quickly. Overall, I would give this place a 9/10, I would say the inside could be a little more renovated BUT it is still good for what you pay for. The price is not bad for it being in Orange County.. some studios right now are over $2k so I would say this place is affordable. You can choose to get a garage for an additional $20/mo, I recommend you do but make sure you get a good lock. I ultimately chose this apartment because of the high reviews and living here for more than a year now I can say it lives up to its expectations. To have numerous residents take the time to leave positive reviews is just a testament to the experience and people here. Peace of mind is very important to me and with no pet rent (only a deposit) there are many neighbors walking their dogs throughout the day allowing me to feel safe. The property manager who also is often outside walking her dog is very nice and communicative. The community is quiet and calm because of the 1 bedroom and studio offerings. Parking is never an issue because 2 parking spots are included (1 in the garage). No bug issues. Maintenance requests are done with an urgency. The location is close to Downtown Tustin, Tustin Marketplace, Tustin Legacy and is only 15 min from UC Irvine and Chapman/Orange circle so you will be central to lots of stores and food places. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS APARTMENT! From signing the lease to moving out, everything was easy and smooth. The area is nice and quiet and I felt always safe. When I was at home, I open my main door almost 24/7 and it always felt very safe. And I never worried about my packages getting stolen. Several times my packages sat down in front of the door for a few days when I traveled and they never got stolen! - Neighbors Neighbors are amazing here. I loved my neighbors. We used to hang out together, visit their places, grab something to eat, etc. It was very lucky to have nice neighbors and I miss them! There are so many friendly people in this community! I thought that wasn't a typical apartment these days. -Location The apartment is in a great location. It's close to the beach and good restaurants around it! Sushi Bear is a bomb, Cream pan(Bakery) is very well known, Ramen Hajime is affordable and good, Gen Korean bbq is good, and Ye dang Korean foods are great. And El Habanero Tacos are so good! Moved in October- It wasn't what I expected but thats what I get for signing a lease without viewing the unit before! I have to admit it started off with some issues but things were back in order within a week. Living in a smaller complex is nice because it's like a big extended family. Everyone is friendly and you get to know your neighbors pretty quick. PROS: Super close to 55 & 5 Freeways. Super close to Tustin Market Place. TONS of delicious food nearby within walking distance. Large Patio with pretty high fence about 5'5 feet or so. Laundry room is open 24-hours 7 days a week. Pool & Hot Tube open late 7 days a week as long as you keep it down. Mostly adults in this complex so everyone keeps it legit and it's clean. Management is great. Maintenance is quick with repairs and the guys is super cool. Within the property it feels safe, comfortable and welcoming. Lawn is clean and mostly free of dog poop which is awesome because there are lots of dogs in the complex. Again mostly adults and with that comes respect and responsibility for your home. CONS: Neighborhood isn't the best. Parking Really Really Sucks. Garage is really narrow if you have a larger vehicle be careful! Kitchen is pretty small & the unit does not come with a refrigerator or microwave. Water issues - my shower water never gets hot... just warm. This could just be my unit but figured its worth mentioning. You will have the occasional maintenance issue but the building is older so you have to expect that BUT the good thing is they are super fast with repairs. I'm on the bottom floor and yes the wood flooring is nice BUT I can hear every foot step above me which is sometimes annoying. I hope my review does NOT discourage anyone, but rather help them make the right choice for them. I highly recommend viewing the unit before you sign anything. My husband and I moved here about 2 months ago from a larger 2 bedroom with a garage. We were unsure about the size of the apartment as we could not see it before we committed to moving here however it has turned out wonderfully for us. we have a large L shaped couch fitting in the living room nicely! Andreea, the manager was very helpful with information on how the apartment would look when it was ready and we were able to look at very clear pictures of how the interior of the apartment was laid out. The apartment was beautifully painted and all new inside. McFadden Village already feels like home. I love pulling into the beautiful garden property with the flowers and pool and sense of calm it brings me. There are several clean and lovely laundry rooms that are on the property close to the apartments. We have a medium sized dog who loves our balcony as much as we do and there are plenty of places to walk her in the complex. It is amazing that with quite a few dogs living here there is very little evidence as everyone picks up after their dog(s). Andreea our manager is easy to get a hold of by texting her, and once when the water was off she had it back on immediately. She also went the extra mile to make us feel welcome here and that made our moving here a wonderful experience. The gardeners do a great job with the flowers and landscaping and the tenants are quiet. This is our 2nd time moving into Mcfadden village. We lived here for 1 year and it was great. The manager here Andreea is what keeps us coming back. These aprtment arent the newest or more fanciest but its a quiet community. We love the fact no one is loud, no kids destroying the place, everyone is nice. If there is a problem Andreea is quick, and i mean quick to take care of your situation. We moved back in july 10th Our AC stopped working the day after we moved in and on the next day they installed a new unit!!! (I love it) Before we moved the interior was very clean and renovated which made us super happy. You get 1 parking garage which is super nice of them. If your lucky and patient Andreea will get you another one. (Be Patient) I grew up here in the 90s in this very complex and just like back then it is quiet and safe. Which is a huge plus. I have lived here for 14+ years. I chose it because of all the trees and the complex was well cared for. It is nice and quiet and the neighbors keep to themselves. The management and maintenance were always there to help and work with me. I felt safe there when I was living alone. They are pet friendly but the dogs don't bark a lot. It is conveniently located. My fiancé and I lived here for a little over 2 years and absolutely loved this little spot. All the greenery around the complex is so pretty and sounds like a mini jungle when it rains. Super lovely spot that was equal distance commuting to our schools, him at UCI and I at CSUF. Many pros: - They are pet friendly - Conveniently located next to the 5 and 55 freeway - Garage and eventually an additional parking spot for another car. you are given a garage for parking and if requested you will be placed on a waiting list for an additional parking spot for a second car. We waited a few months and got ours. The street parking wasn't very fun after 4 pm but it was always manageable. I promise she's quick and understands the parking hassle so she gets you a spot as soon as she can. - Andreea, who manages the apartments is the most welcoming, nice, and accommodating manager we have ever had. She's quick on responses and very efficient with her work - There's a small gym with upgraded equipment in it - There's a nice pool and hot tub with comfortable lounge chairs and tables - The community is super welcoming, quiet, and very nice. We made good friends with our neighbors - Walking distance to some really great food spots. There's also Old Town Tustin on the other side of the freeway which is nice to walk around and get great food. El Camino cafe was our favorite breakfast spot All in all, living at McFadden village was a great experience from start to finish. read more
