I lived at McFadden Village Apartments for almost three years, and I couldn't have been happier with my experience. The community is beautifully maintained, offering a perfect blend of comfort and convenience. It is also pet-friendly, which is a huge plus for all the pet lovers out there! The amenities, including the pool, jacuzzi, and small gym, are always clean and well-kept, providing a great place to unwind and stay active. McFadden Village is very close to the freeway entrances, and stores like Costco, Albertsons, Hmart, Trader Joe's, Aldi, Target, Walmart and you name it. Downtown Tustin is about 5 minutes/less away (lots of great restaurants, bakery and coffee shops to try) which makes it even better. A big part of what makes McFadden Village such a fantastic place to live is the incredible staff. Andreea, the Property Manager, goes above and beyond to ensure that everything runs smoothly. She is always approachable and quick to address any questions or concerns, making residents feel valued and heard. Her professionalism and dedication really stand out, and it's clear that she genuinely cares about the community. Mr. Oh (I believe that's what he goes by), the Maintenance Technician, is another gem in this community. He is prompt, efficient, and always does an amazing job with any maintenance requests. Whether it's a minor issue or something more complex, Mr. Oh handles everything very quickly and efficiently. Thanks to his hard work, the entire property is tidy and well-maintained, contributing to the overall pleasant living experience. (Not to mention his wife, she is also super sweet too!) I will definitely miss this place and I highly recommend McFadden Village Apartments to anyone looking for a great place to call home!

I lived at McFadden village for almost 6 years. It was my first apartment on my own. I felt safe there and it was quiet and peaceful. Andreea, the property manager does an amazing job and really has the place running smoothly. She really puts in a lot of effort to ensure her tenants are happy. I also never had to wait long for maintenance, they are on it unlike some other complexes I've lived in. I would have stayed longer here but my boyfriend and I moved together into a bigger place but I'll miss it. If you are looking for a nice place to live and that's pet friendly, definitely check this place out!

    My cozy studio!

I lived here for almost two years and had an amazing experience. Andreea is the main reason why! I had few problems while living here but the few requests/issues I had, she responded immediately. Everything was always taken care of as quickly as possible. The community in general is great as well! I felt safe living there and loved being so close to Old Town Tustin. Also only about 10-15 mins from UCI, and 10-15 minutes from Newport which is amazing. The community was super quiet too! And Andreea makes sure that the grounds are well-maintained so it always looks so beautiful around the complex. Also never had a package stolen or anything. In general everyone in the community is super respectful. This was my first apartment on my own and it was perfect. I also really appreciate how cozy the apartment was, and how I was really able to make it my own. Highly recommend!

My husband and I will have lived here for a week shy of 2 years by the time we move out in a few weeks. Our experience here has outweighed our expectations and we're so happy we chose McFadden Village Apartments as our first solo living as a married couple. The complex is very pet friendly (we have a rabbit and a cat), and neighbors are always walking their friendly dogs. If we could stay longer, we would. Work and personal endeavors are taking us up north and eventually out of state. But our time here will always be treasured. From day one, the property manager, Andreea Padurean, has been very kind, honest, responsible, and always a text away. There was never more than a few days' wait for any maintenance requests to be fixed. And if there was, it was due to personal availability conflicts. (They're always able to come in and fix the issues if you're not home, but I prefer to be ). You have the option to pay for a 2nd uncovered parking spot, if availability permits (which has been great for our larger car). Just keep in mind that if you turn down your spot, there's a waitlist you'll have to go on to get one down the road. So if you need one or can afford it, get one. We made the mistake of giving ours away in the beginning and it took around a year to finally get another one. The only con I have about living here was the garage break-ins that happened awhile back. Multiple garages were targeted over the course of a few months, ours being one of them. Whoever it was, stole over a grand worth of personal belongings that we had to deal with insurance to cover and replace. Yes, we had a lock. And yes, some other residents did too. That didn't stop the thieves since they cut the whole metal latch off the door itself. Obviously this isn't something the complex management can control. And they do give you a fair share of warnings about not leaving anything valuable in the garages. Some residents have nothing in theirs, while others have packed spaces. It's ultimately up to you, but just know that like with anywhere else, theft can happen so be smart about how and where you store your belongings. There's no rules against smoking of any kind, so be mindful that your neighbors may be tobacco or marijuana users. My favorite part of living here has been how quiet it's been. No loud noise, no screaming kids, no arguing couples or families. Literal peace and quiet, which is more than we'd ever hoped for. We came from living at a luxury apartment to McFadden Village and we had kinder and quieter neighbors here than we did at our previous apartment. The property is ALWAYS clean. Gardeners and landscapers come regularly to maintain all the foliage and keep the walkways accessible. Having a gym on site has been very nice and helpful. It's small, but definitely does the job. We've loved the pool, but the jacuzzi definitely needs some updating. We've gone many many times and the water is never hot enough. It's lukewarm, at best. Overall, we've loved it here. Aside from the garage incident, it's been paradise and we'd do it all over again in a heartbeat. No place is ever going to be perfect, but this was more than enough for what we hoped for and wanted. And trust me when I say that Andreea is the best property manager you could ask for. If it existed, I'd probably win the award for the most resident texts to her over these past 2 years lol (oops ). But for real, there wasn't ever an issue she didn't do her best to try and help me with or fix on the spot and I'm very grateful for how helpful and kind she's been! You won't regret living here!

The grounds are well maintained and a fun place for dogs to meet

I am coming up on two years living here. I love it! Community is friendly, my neighbors are the best. Quiet place to live, close to freeway, and the manager is always willing to help in any way she can. Community gifts and activities are nice as well. Parking is a little tight, but probably why it stays quiet. I live in a one bedroom and it has plenty of space for what I need. I enjoy living in a clean well kept property with great people. If you are looking to live in Tustin I recommend getting on the waitlist asap. It's a great place to call home.

A happy dog to have lots of dog friends in the community!

My fiancee and I were referred here by friends 3.5 years ago. What caught our attention was the landscape. The landscapers come every Monday and the on-site team do a great job of upkeeping the property throughout the week. We've found that the units offer great value aside from that as well, however. The gym and spa had a great upgrade recently too (smith machine, treadmill, cycles, dumbbells up to 45/50 lbs, lat pull down, leg curl/extension machine, shoulder/bench press, and medicine balls). If we ever leave it'll be because they may not have larger units available when our lease is up. Parking is rarely an issue. Might get tricky if you plan on having overnight guests though.

I've lived in some of the nicest most luxurious apartment communities in Orange County including Halcyon House, One uptown Newport and the Royce. Even though some of the others have better "location" there is no disputing that. I believe the row has the best bang for your buck and overall the best experience. Lived at The Row at Red Hill for about a year now and it's been a great call. Location is hard to beat -- quick access to the 55 and 5, and having the onsite retail means a lot of errands happen without ever getting in the car. The amenities here are genuinely top notch -- the gym and fitness area are some of the best I've had at an apartment community, and the rooftop pools are a huge win, especially living in SoCal. Those two alone get a ton of use from me and they're kept up well, which honestly matters more day-to-day than people expect. The gym is probably as good as it gets for OC as far as apartment communities are concerned. But the real reason I'm writing this is Jose and Margarita. Jose handles the outdoor common areas -- streets, the dog park, landscaping -- and it's obvious he takes pride in it. The man does not play around, he does the job perfectly. The grounds always look sharp, not just "fine." Margarita covers the parking garage and building hallways, and same thing: consistently clean, no slacking, every single day. It's easy for property management to talk about amenities and community, but what actually makes a place livable is people like Jose and Margarita showing up and doing the work right, day in and day out. That's the difference between an apartment complex that looks good in photos and one that's actually well run. This one's the latter, and a big part of that is them. Honorable mention to everyone else. The leasing staff as well as resident relations team are always super nice and professional. Five stars, easy recommend.

It would be great to see one designated as adults only. The dog park looks like a great feature for those with social dogs. Ours is a bit older and not quite as enthusiastic about the younger crowd, but it is still a nice amenity to have. That said, the best part of this complex is the leadership, especially Johnny, the General Manager. Well-run properties always have strong leadership behind them, and that is very evident here. When we moved in, Johnny personally made sure everything was taken care of, from small adjustments to the overall move-in experience. Greystar is fortunate to have someone like him leading the property. If you are considering living here, I would absolutely recommend it. My wife and I have been very happy with our experience.

Unfortunately, my most recent experience was very disappointing. Last Sunday, when we arrived at the clubhouse for our reservation, someone was still eating there--even though it was hours before my scheduled time. I immediately called the office, and they assured me someone would come to clean up and place a reserved sign. No one ever showed up. On top of that, I was charged for a terrace reservation that I never used. There was never an agreement emailed to me, even though I was told one would be sent. Because no agreement was provided and the terrace was not utilized, I shouldn't be responsible for those charges. I've already called the office to have this reviewed, and was told someone would get back to me, but I'm still waiting. To make matters worse, I made another reservation for October for my daughter's upcoming birthday. I've called three separate times for confirmation and follow-up, and each time I was told I'd receive a call back. No one has ever called. For the amount of money residents are paying for this community and these reservations, the lack of professionalism and follow-through is extremely disappointing. I expected much better customer service, especially given the positive experiences I've had here in the past.

When we were apartment hunting, a huge selling point was being told that each leaseholder would get 7 guest parking permits a month. It sounded like a decent plus to the nightmare parking situation (virtually no guest spots or street parking in general; $150/month for an extra parking spot with a year-long waitlist). Instead, we found out the leasing agent completely LIED to us--it's actually 7 permits PER household, not PER person. I know we did not mishear this during the leasing process and that we were explicitly told we would receive 21 permits in total for the 3 leaseholders we had for our unit. When I brought this up, management admitted we were lied to, but they didn't even offer a single solution or credit for the $10-per-pass fee we're now stuck with. It feels like they'll say anything just to get a lease signed. The lack of communication between the office and security is just as frustrating. I've been kicked out of the "24-hour" business center TWICE by security because they weren't told the correct hours. I actually had to email a leasing agent myself and show the security guard the email on my phone just so she'd believe me--and even then, she took a photo of it like she still didn't trust me. It shouldn't be the resident's job to train the building's security on their own amenities! On top of that, we've already had to re-sign our entire lease two months after moving in because the office messed up the numbers on the original documents. While the unit itself is modern and I appreciate the gym and the package lockers, the "unseen"parts of living here are exhausting. The fire alarms go off at 3 AM for no reason, the power has flickered out multiple times, and it took around a week to get a working microwave when ours died. I still have 11 months left on my lease, and I'm genuinely worried about what else was a lie or what else will break. I'm mostly upset that they admitted we were lied to by their agent and took no action to make it right with us. If you're looking to move here, I'd suggest getting every single promise in writing, because their verbal word doesn't seem to be honest. I will keep this updated.

The closed off wells fargo & missing sidewalk somewhat impedes the walkability to the local mother's market and chipotle. This remains a 4/5 after touring 18 more complexes in the local 10 miles. The score stays high as I've chosen to move within the complex for a continued stay and to avoid the annoyance and costs of fully moving. If you are sensitive to noise, this might lower to a 3/5. If I were not already here, this would still be in the top 3. It takes a lot for someone to review or bother to update one but i am annoyed enough to do so.
