I pulled in with an emergency air leak and they had my tire patched up quick for a fair price! They also let me hang out with their sweet senior dog. Thank you! read more

I had to place a review to thank Steven for helping with an oil leak of my '66 Ford Mustang. I tried with my small knowlage to find it. He found time to come by to my garage and in 10-15 min. he found the issue and told me what to replace. I did what he told me and the leak now is repaired. I will use them from now on. Great to still find honest and helpful people. read more

The hardest type of mechanic that you can find is an honest one. Steven, the owner, was recommended by a friend. I took my diesel Jeep there to take care of the diesel particulate filter that is a constant problem for the 2014 diesel jeeps. Had I taken it to the dealer which one you Google the problem says it's a dealer only fix, it would have cost me two or three times the amount. Instead, I took care of that problem through Noel Miller, A full 20,000 mile service, smog for my registration, and took care of a recall notice which he arranged through the dealer for at least half the cost that the dealer quoted me. I recommend the shop and will be bringing the rest of my vehicles and my families vehicles here. read more

This is an excellent shop that is knowledgeable, fair, and honest. They repaired a misfire on my 2000 Ford Ranger. Steve, Manny and John are a rare breed now as we are surrounded by Teslas and scan tool mechanics. Would recommend this shop to anyone that has a passion for vehicles. read more

Lenny from Santa Clara Wreckers referred me to Steven at Noel Miller after I went to our regular local mechanic and then the Serramonte Ford fleet service and they both said the part they needed which I purchased from Lenny at Santa Clara Wreckers was the issue. However SM Ford wouldn't install used and of course they discontinued the part from Ford. The truck is a Ford F-150 2006 and they discontinued the part? SM Ford said sorry there's nothing they could do, it's electrical. And I felt defeated, but I called Lenny to ask if there was anyone he thought could help me, and he did!!! I called Steven and told him about the situation and he asked me to bring the truck in and he asked me, "What was wrong when I'm driving the truck?" Not just stick the electrical connector and diagnose it like everyone else. It drove sluggish, can't go over 30 mph and the RPM gauge goes up and down when I gas it, and the truck seems to be draining battery and always on. Steve diagnosed it after about a week or so (please don't rush the man, he's a freaking master mechanic). And said it might be the crank case and if so it'll be $850 or $2,500, but I don't know till I try. And then he fixed it. The price was about $1,100. He's a genius! read more

The back hatch of my SUV jammed this afternoon and I could not for the life of me open/unlock my car's back end. The dealership was closed, so I brought it over to Noel L, Miller. Steve came out to take a look at my car and went above and beyond helping me. Before I knew it, the back end was open and working again. What a huge relief! This was my first time here. I am glad I found someone reliable and trustworthy in the neighborhood. Thank you, Steve!! read more

A friend referred me to Steven and I'm so happy that she did! He went above and beyond my expectations. He was able to take my car in right away and figured out what was wrong. He is reliable, friendly, efficient and reasonable. I was extremely happy with his work and will definitely be going back in the future for any of my car service needs. read more

Our family has taken all of our cars to Noel Miller for more than 30 years. Noel has since retired but Steve has continued the tradition of providing great service at a fair and reasonable price. Steve is great at recommending preventive maintenance items that will save you money in the long run, though he never tried to sell service that isn't required. All of his mechanics are highly experienced and hardworking. I would highly recommend Noel Miller to all car owners, and my only regret that we now live so far away that I can't visit for routine service anymore. read more

A visit to Miller's is as good as it gets. Steve is a character and one that I look forward to bringing my car to when I can for tune-up and big fixes. This guy knows his cars. This family business has certainly gained a loyal customer. Steve tells it likes it is, tries to save you money where he can, and delivers a great result. I won't bring my car anywhere else. read more

Seriously? This auto repair shop restored my faith in humanKIND (stress on the kind)... My car broke down on the freeway in morning rush hour traffic, and although they were FULLY booked for the day (and Steve was under the weather) - they took me in with open arms and made sure that I was SAFE and sound until help arrived. Once at the shop, they gave me great auto advice, serviced my faulty alternator/replaced my battery, and they ensured that I had a mode of transportation for the day (really? really.) ...AND THEN they had me out the door and on my way in minutes...Oh AND they stored my car for over a week while I was out of town on business. Applause. I've never felt so well cared for by any business - much less an auto shop. If I could give 10 stars, I would. They're that fantastic. read more

Steven and Noel Miller should be considered as the standard for all auto mechanics. Friendly service and always reliable. Steve will charge you what he think is fair and it is always a good price. Next time your car needs work, bring it to Noel Miller and you will not regret it. read more

Noel Miller Inc. has been around for over 70 years and without QUESTION the BEST shop around. The current owner, Steve, is there before sunup and usually well into the night and weekends too, as it's a passion for him and REALLY cares ! I trust him not only with my vintage vehicle$ but my LIFE ! A GOOD R E A L person with values that matter. Heck he even knows about motorcycles, watercraft, machine work, fabrication etc. A real world mechanic/technician ! NOT some textbook clown with a new toolbox from Sears at some corner "Oil Changers" butcher shop with shit oil and junk filters that strips your drain plug! My brother-in-law, a line chief for United Airlines (the hands on guy that keeps those planes IN the air) will not let ANYONE else touch his personal cars and trucks . ' Nuff said ! read more

I trust Steven implicitly with the repair of our vehicles, and highly recommend the Noel Mill shop!

Finally found an honest mechanic in Burlingame! Fast, easy, and no beating around the bush.

Here are words most folks don't usually associate with mechanics. Honest. Timely. Fair. Professional. Direct. Helpful. Affordable. Steve is all that and a can of oil. He not only charges you a reasonable amount for what's broken on the car, but recommends that you shop around and make sure to get the best price. He even offered to drop off a car to me when I couldn't make it to the shop on time. It's rare I give any business 5 stars. This one has earned it. read more

I called another place in San Mateo, they only work on european cars, so I asked for a recommendation, they sent me to Noel L. Miller. I have a PT Cruiser, so not the most reliable cars, and mine's about 7-8 years old. I knew it needed a tune-up, likely some brakes replaced, and I had smelled burning oil. With not much more information than that, Steven took great care of me! We had some complications involving timing, ordering parts, etc. and he was so polite and accomodating, and truly understood the HUGE benefit of great client service. Their prices (from what I understand of them) seem to be very reasonable, and I've been pleasantly surprised with the extra little touches! I always hold my breath when working with a new mechanic - I know so little about cars/engines/etc. that I HATE having to find a new one to trust. Although I live across the bay, I will be travelling everytime to see Noel L. Miller and Steven, they're just that good! read more

Been a long time client, have taken the last 4 vehicles I have owned to Noel L Miller's. Even the company I work for brings are work trucks in for service. The first few vehicles had lots of miles and with their great service, I had several vehicles last over 200,000 miles. And now with my new Toyota Tundra, with only 16,000 miles, I still take it here for the routine services. The best part of bringing your vehicles here is that they aren't going to push you to do work that is not needed. Frequently the owner, Steve, will tell me that on the next service, this... needs to be done. The crew is also very nice, and a pleasure to talk to. read more

I've never had an american car but I know own a Chevy service truck - an Express van. During warranty period, I was not happy with Putnam locally. When I needed some service recently, I asked my BMW shop (Holland - also fantastic) who I should call. He told me to call Steve at Noel Miller. The truck got fixed, I didn't have to do much and they were local. Reasonable pricing but most of all they communicate - they answer the phone, call you back when they say they will, etc.. read more

Very dependable and very friendly. They have always taken care of my car when my father could not do the work!!!!!!! Love you Steve!!!!

My family has come to Steven for many years. I've been coming for the last year and I have been happy. I was scared to see a mechanic for the first time because of stories how it's a rip off. However, I was so happy how Steven helped me. He informed me on what was standard that needed to be done - possible things that could happen just so I was aware. When I picked up he re informed me and told me for the future what will need to be done and explained to me exactly why. I have never felt pressured by him and he always gets my car in and out. Highly recommend! read more

I brought my '29 Mercedes Roadster (Fiberglass kit car on a '78 Ford Pinto chassis with the Ford 3200 engine - a favorite of flat track racers) as it was just refusing to start. I had pulled my plugs cleaned and regapped them, cleaned my points and rotor in my distributor cap, Installed a new air filter and fuel filter, fuel pump was operational etc. But got stumped. I brought it down to Steve and picked it up the next day and now every time I stick the key in the ignition, it fires up ready to go. He explained what he had found and the steps he took to correct it and I couldn't be happier. THANKS STEVE!!! read more

We've taken our various vehicles to this garage for years and been delighted. Steve, the owner, is an honest and serious fellow. He seems to take pride in the mechanics doing a good job. We used to be routinely 'taken to the cleaners' by having the cars serviced by local auto dealerships. We'd routinely get a call mid-day from the service technician saying "We found something else that needs fixing on your car..." and then paying an extra few hundred bucks. We once took the minivan in having had trouble with the transmission. Steve called to say "Listen, it's still under warranty, so you can have the dealer put in a new one for free. I called them and made an appointment for you tomorrow." Imagine that! On my last servicing, the vehicle needed new shock absorbers and tires, amongst other things. I picked up the wagon and was told "It will need such-and-such next time we service it...I didn't want you to have to pay so much all at once..." If you can find a reliable mechanic, you're lucky. This place is a good option. read more

steve is very fair and efficient. i was in the auto repair business for 38 years and his professionalism is hard to find.

Superb service. Was worried about my 05' Porsche Boxter passing the smog/star certification test as I don't drive it much. Found my way (customer reviews) to Noel Miller, Inc. Failed first try because "monitors/incomplete". Steven and John went "above and beyond" preparing my car for a retest, which it passed. Thanks to their smarts and skills, my car is legal. Steven and John are quality people, fair and honest, absolute pleasures to work with, true professionals. I am glad I went to their shop for a smog test and know you will be glad , too, especially if you have a problem passing the test as I did. Wonderful experience.
