I think they are used to dealing with an older clientele with "old school" processes (phone calls and fax machines) and perhaps Dr. Esantsi is headed to retirement so it's not worth making the effort, but if he intends to work for the next 2-10 years, he really needs to change his staffing and get to a more state of the art office with more on-line capability. I think the reason they never answer the phone is because they are on the phone all day just setting up appointments. That can be done on-line with Calendly. It's frustrating because i really want to keep seeing this doctor but i dread ever having to set up an appointment or go there because their processes are stuck in the 1980s.

I was trying to be inappropriately medicated by by regular doctors (I live in the Friendswood area.) The test is a gold standard for people like me who have "white coat syndrome" blood pressure issues--it's very hard to get accurate b.p. readings. Long story short I went to Dr. S. He doesn't take my insurance but has priced the test so that it is very affordable (cheaper than flying to Great Britain where they use the test regularly!). I was extremely pleased with how everything went. Dr. S., his nurse and members of his office staff were very kind and helpful and I was able to get the information I need so I can take it to my doctors.

He helped me more than any doctors I have had since 2016 when I moved to the Houston area. His office staff are attentive and if busy when you call, they will get to you as quick as possible. My husband initially went in on Monday at 9:30 AM experiencing intense pain early in the morning. There were no lines when I arrived, the office was clean, and the staff were polite and professional. During the visit, they drew labs and gave me a referral to have an ultrasound done (which I was able to get done that day at 1pm). I was told that they would call me with the results once everything was reviewed. Wednesday, the clinic contacted us with the lab results, but they had no update regarding the imaging. I then called the imaging center myself and was informed that the ultrasound images had already been sent to the clinic Wednesday afternoon. On Thursday, I went to the imaging center in person to pick up a copy of the results and the CD containing the images. I called the same day (Th) and was told the NP should have the results reviewed by Friday. When I followed up today(Friday), I was told that it may not be reviewed until Monday. While I'm grateful my husband's pain has mostly subsided and is feeling almost back to normal, the delay in reviewing the imaging results feels unnecessary and frustrating. Especially considering the imaging center had already sent the results several days ago. Overall, my initial visit was positive in terms of the cleanliness of the office and the friendliness of the staff and cost of the visit. After calling they are more annoyed and don't seem to care that patients are left with no answers. The delay in communicating diagnostic results and providing follow-up information has been disappointing and has left me waiting longer than expected for answers. This is my second time going here for labs and imaging (first time with my son) and I didn't experience this type of delay so hopefully this isn't what usually happens.

About an hour after opening, I used the restroom and found it in unacceptable condition (video attached), which immediately raised concerns about cleanliness. In the exam room, containers of Q-tips, gauze, and cotton balls were left uncovered, and the strep test was performed without gloves or handwashing. We interacted with three different staff members who neither washed their hands nor wore gloves while caring for our daughter. The technician who initially came in to take her blood pressure and temperature repeatedly used profanity and complained about missing supplies, including a stethoscope. Before leaving, I checked the restroom again and found it unchanged. The lack of cleanliness, infection-control practices, and professionalism was very disappointing.

I made a whole whopping 2 phone calls and it was quickly obvious that this was not a place for me. First call was to make an appointment with the one doctor out of the many that practice here that I was somewhat interested in making an appointment with, despite my insurance and multiple medical review sites stating she was taking new patients..... she was not. While I had the receptionist on the phone I thought I would get an idea of some of the other doctors that practice there however she seemed to be in a hurry to get off the phone and encouraged me to do my own research. Okay..... well I did just that and found there was another doctor I might be interested in seeing. Called back to make a new patient appointment with her. My call was answered, let them know I was a new patient wanting to make an appointment with Doctor Manis and then I was put on hold.... Okay no big deal. But I remained on hold and I told myself give it 10 minutes just in case it is a busy day.... I did just that but never got any further than that. I hung up at the 10 minute mark, wrote this review to help others like myself looking for a new doctor and then cut my loses. I hate that there are not any super reliable website for good complete reviews for medical facilities and doctors.
