When I got to the office the receptionist told me she did not think my insurance would be good but she would check. After 45 minutes, I asked how much longer before I saw the doctor. She said there still was no response about the insurance. I did not get to see Dr. Balasubramanian. If the insurance was not accepted, why not call me before I made a trip to the office. I guess I am back to a new doctor at Genesis Medical Group. BTW...I have used this insurance with hospitals, surgeons, heart specialists and other doctors all around Houston with no issues.

She told me to come in at 1:30 on July 16 to fill out paperwork and be seen by the doctor. When I arrived, the receptionist asked for my negative Covid results, so I emailed them to her. She said that the doctor had decided she couldn't see me in person because of the notes the supervisor made on the chart that noted I still can't taste or smell correctly after three weeks. I asked why I wasn't called ahead of time instead of driving 30 minutes to the appointment? She did not have an answer, but she admitted this has happened multiple times. Okay...we are living in a world with Covid, so they are trying to be safe and keep their employees safe. I completely respect that! I setup a video call for two hours later. No one called or reached out to me in anyway.

Every time I meet a new doctor, they have their own staff and nurses and I personally feel uneasy opening up to every single new provider about my past health history. I have to take Molnuporavir. Anyway the best thing she told me after 2 hours of messing with them was to go to ER. Went down the road to Houston Methodist ER and was seen. I came here to meet with Dr. Nguyen. I made an appointment with the office a week before. The office staff was okay. They looked hectic and busy. I came in 15 mins earlier than my actual appointment to fill out new patient papers. I waited 10 mins before I got called in. Dr. Nguyen took time to listen, ask questions and explain my issues and symptoms. She is very caring and professional doctor that took the time to explain everything.
