As a first timer, I enjoyed eating from NoCo Hot Box. For the Side Box (appetizer) I purchased the Fuggedaboutit Fries and the Redneck Rolls. The Fuggedaboutit are crispy fries lightly tossed in Rosemary Garlic Parmesan Sauce. It has a slight crisp with a hint of cheesy-ness. If anyone has ever had Andy Capp's Cheddar Fries chips...think that but freshly made. The Redneck Rolls were a hit with the kids. It is Mac and Cheese with bacon filled eggroll with sweet BBQ sauce. The downside to this was that it wasn't enough as I received 2 eggrolls and my kids wanted more. With a price tag at $5, its not a problem. I skipped the Garden Box (salad) and ordered the Main Box, because, who goes to a BBQ like establishment for....salad. I ordered the Ragin Cajun and the How's your burger? The burger is an 8 oz Angus with many fixins of your choice. I ordered it with Garlic Potato Bread, American cheese, Lettuce, Tomato, Pickles with Maple Bourbon Aioli. The Burger wasnt overcooked the Aioli has a sweet savory taste and compliments the Garlic Bread. Like if you were to dip garlic bread in a dipping sauce like Au Jus. The Ragin Cajun is a Salmon Po' Boy. with special spices , Remoulade, slaw, and lettuce and tomato. Some people hold the slaw. I for one like the crunchiness in the Po'Boy as the homemade Remoulade gives it a kick. As I ate this it reminds me that one scene of the Simpsons where Homer was eating a Po' Boy. ***Big Tip. It gets busy during lunch. Ive seen people leave because they cant wait. Order online. I ordered my lunch online to go. and people that waited behind me while he was cooking up my meal, couldnt wait and just left. remember its one guy in a hot box. he takes the order and cook. Plenty of parking, outdoor tables, lighting, scenery....if you dont look at the Night of the Living dead behind you and kids were playing bean toss, compliments of NoCo. The reason I gave a 4 out of 5 is because of 2 things. After you eat through the hotbox menu, you want more types of food which they dont have because again its a hotbox and small menu is what they have. The second one is because its a hotbox, if you dont order your food. Timing is everything, and if you dont have the time to wait...well you might as well go somewhere else. Just keep this in mind. Sometimes its worth the wait.

They are more of a dine-in place and NOT an efficient office lunch take out place because it took a long hold time on the phone to place the order for the office of 7 people. So be warned. When I went to pick up the food, place was buzzing with energy. They had nice case full of baked goods and staff all looked busy but energetic. I saw that there was a whole dining area to the left (doesn't look like it from outside!) that was PACKED with happy lunchers! The cashier let us know that they open Saturdays for amazing brunch, so I made a mental note to try. Onto the food... #7 Turkey sandwich (5/5, Main) - Delicious. Juicy, fresh-tasting turkey piled high and dense (like sando is HEAVY...) with cheddar, grilled onions and Russian dressing. Hello! Seriously packed that homey flavor but better. Crowdpleaser. #8 Turkey meatloaf w/ cheddar sandwich (3/5, Main) - My order because I'm a sucker for meatloaf. It turned out to be slightly dry but I suppose you can't make it too saucy if it's going on a sando. It also had nice heft but ended up being a bit too heavy and one-dimensional. #7 was better. Indian Red Lentil Soup (3/5, Side) - Something to wet our palate (literally). Homey flavor, but not a standout. We tried ordering one more time and office agreed that this place isn't good for office lunch because they had no online order and because they're too busy with customers, both time we had to wait like 10 minutes and then the person did not speak very well and just took a long time and a mistake in the order. But I'm sure that dine-in is going to be a different story! If you want a homey Russian-style cafe food from a passionate Russian lady chef, give this lovely neighborhood cafe a visit. You won't be disappointed!

Jill also acted as a day-of coordinator and everything was seamless. She worked calmly and professionally behind the scenes with all vendors to keep the day flowing. I didn't worry about anything that day and it all worked out perfectly. We had a lounge-like vision for the party: no assigned seats, a mix of table sizes, and a buffet of tapas style plates that would get people moving around the space. Jill made this happen and it felt seamless - she was endlessly positive and full of ideas and solutions to make the event feel festive, COVID-safe, and flowing. No one ever had to wait in line for drinks - bars were plentiful and well run. My husband and I sat at a small table together which she thoughtfully prepared ahead of time with a full array of food so we actually got to eat a little that evening! I HIGHLY recommend Jill and her team and hope to attend more of her events in the future!

Our son was thrilled in every way, and virtually every one of our guests commented in some way on how delicious the food was, how amazing their team was, and how seamlessly the staff handled all of the various transitions especially in such a challenging and crowded space. We are so appreciative of everything Above and Beyond did to make this special, and every way in which you made this easy for us, and especially for your flexibility at the end dealing with our last minute details. It felt mind-bogglingly complicated for us, but it was to everyone who came and celebrated a truly delightful, happy and fun celebration--and even more so for our son. He was thrilled and so were we. We can't wait till next time and look forward to endless opportunities to recommend you to everyone we know. Thank you for making our celebration complete.

We had visited this place in January and fell in love with it, and thought that it was perfect due to the view of the water, and the cocktail hour as well as ballroom plus the bar. Also due to large families on both sides, we were looking at catering halls to have my dad's party at. It was a perfect setup! This was also the first place we went to while party planning, and the one we decided on, ultimately due to price. Can't remember the name of the person who helped us, but very communicative and understood our needs. My only suggestion is to maybe provide the planning people to try their food. He listened to our needs, and was accommodating, which is important. Even threw in cocktail hour options for us. Party day was Saturday May 10th 2025. Loved the outdoor area as being outside was enjoyable. Cocktail hour was also enjoyable with foods like chicken dumpling, coconut shrimp, and more! They had plenty of cold stuff like pasta salads, salad, butternut squash, and some fruit. Only feedback is maybe more items like potato salad, maybe have some of the hot items so that people can just get up and get more. then came time to be inside the ballroom-- and it was beautiful and big! There was dancing, cocktails, and fun galore. Loved my shirley temple that i ordered-- with the waitress. Speaking about the waitresses, they were very pleasant- however, they did take items off the table that maybe someone wasn't done with that item. Trust me, i've been a server at a restaurant- silent serving is a thing, but never assume someone is done, or take their plates without asking. that's my only feedback-- oh and my mom asked that the favors be on the tables, and there was 2: a bottle opener, and something else plus a pen. My mom asked to evenly spread out throughout the tables, but some people got the same favors..... okay. Maybe whoever did that didn't know that there was 2 different items. anyways. Food was also very good: our option was menu options with pasta, which was penne ala vodka, salad, and an entree choice of figlet magion, salmon, and chicken sambolka. There are more options for the dinner, but we chose that. Food was very good, and lots of people like their food. I liked the salmon, for instance. others like their steak, although the lighting made it look well-done when they ordered medium! lol Sundae bar was the best, but there should have been more toppings like gummy bears, or worms, chocolate syrup, whipped cream! Athough kudos that they had both vanila and chocolate ice cream. Cake was also very good and moist too! Loved it here and highly recommend!

My name is Sam, and my wife Amanda and I spent a long time searching for a venue that felt elegant but still warm and personal--and the Manor delivered on every level. From the very beginning, the experience was seamless. The staff was incredibly organized, responsive, and genuinely invested in making our day special. Planning a wedding can feel overwhelming, but they guided us through every step with patience and clarity. No question felt too small, and no request felt like a burden. That kind of support made a huge difference for us. The venue itself is stunning. The grounds are beautifully maintained, and the manor has this timeless, classic charm that makes everything feel elevated without being stuffy. Our ceremony was held outdoors, and even in early April, the setting felt magical. The landscaping created the perfect backdrop for photos--honestly, we barely had to "pose" because every angle looked incredible. Inside, the reception space was just as impressive. The room felt spacious but still intimate, and everything flowed perfectly--from cocktail hour to dinner to dancing. The staff coordinated everything so smoothly that Amanda and I were actually able to relax and enjoy the night instead of worrying about logistics. One thing that really stood out was the food. We had heard good things beforehand, but it exceeded expectations. Our guests are still talking about it weeks later. From the cocktail hour selections to the main courses, everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. They were also very accommodating with dietary needs, which was important to us. If I could give one piece of advice to future brides and grooms, it would be this: trust the team at Old Tappan Manor. They know exactly what they're doing. We came in with a vision, but they elevated it in ways we didn't even think of. Let them guide you--it will take so much stress off your shoulders. Also, take time on the day to really soak it in. The setting, the atmosphere, the way everything comes together--it goes by quickly, but it's unforgettable. Amanda and I both had moments where we just looked around and thought, "This is perfect," and that's something we'll carry with us forever. We truly couldn't have asked for a better place to start our marriage. If you're considering Old Tappan Manor, don't hesitate.
