I am a terrible painter but I honestly made the best painting of my life here. Ashley made the experience fun and looked to my strengths to give me advice on what I could do better. She gave me different tools throughout the process to help me accomplish the look I was going for. One of the best things about this place as well is that if you don't finish in your first visit you can come back at certain times and have full access to their resources and advice even if it takes a couple times of coming back to do so. Coming here gave me confidence in my ability to actually paint well and it was not stressful at all during the process. Next time the wife and I get a chance to have some free time, this place is definitely going to be on our minds!

There are similar delays to much larger websites, and this local business feels like a better use of money. We learned a delicious twist on edamame, what goes into miso soup, and how to cook sushi rice (not as straightforward as you think), then actually made our own maki and uramaki! Translation: Hand rolls with nori (seaweed) on the outside and inside-out rolls with rice on the outside. They also prepared tempura vegetables and gave us the secret to achieving that delicious light breading! Notes on the experience? For the sushi lover in your life, this is a MUST DO! I can't believe how lucky we are to have this talented team of culinary artists right here in Lexington! A sushi fanatic I am not, therefore I was (one of) the high-maintenance one(s) for whom they so kindly seared the tuna and salmon, but for that reason I would absolutely recommend it to ANYONE who enjoys sushi, even in a limited capacity! You get to keep your sushi paddle, mat, and chopsticks. They have beer and wine available for purchase, but you can also BYOB. In addition to the kitchen and seating areas there is a little retail section where you can shop, and they offer a wide variety of public classes, private classes, catering, events, and workshops year round. Thanks to Chef Allison and Chef Shawn for an entertaining, educational, and epicurious evening!
