Franks High Fidelity

Franks High Fidelity

"6 Star Excellence" This is one of the best experiences I've…read moreever had in purchasing something. I began by looking up "Car Audio" on Google and Yelp. Frank's High Fidelity came up with high marks. I stopped in to see what they had available and possibly make an appointment. Jesse was incredible from start to finish. The 2013 Jeep I bought had a Pioneer radio without a CD player. I have a huge collection of CD's so it's a necessity for me to have a CD player in my vehicle. Jesse checked out my system and made a couple suggestions without pushing a hard upsell for their most expensive products. He allowed me to make the decision and he ordered my radio. I brought the Jeep in a week later for the install. While Frank the owner was installing the radio, Jesse took the time to show me everything else they offer in the shop. No crazy upsell. Just a friendly, "Here's what we have and keep us in mind for the future." They offer car audio and video systems, car starters, LED head lights, Weathertech products, truck side steps, and they install and service breathalyzer systems in vehicles for DUI's. Very busy niche for Frank's. Frank and Jesse went above and beyond to make sure my new Pioneer radio was installed perfectly. 5 stars is the most you can give for most reviews. I give Frank's High Fidelity 6 stars. Frank even gave me an extensive tutorial on how to operate the radio. He also said to come back if I have any questions. Now that's great service.

Got paid by insurance and I paid him $120 above that. He didn't understand that Porsche radios must be programmed to the car's vin. and after two replacement radios, 37 (the actual number) phone calls, and patiently waiting for 6 months for him to figure that out, on June 27th he told me to find someone else to finish the job. Since he started it, the insurance won't pay a reputable company to program it, and Frank, who could get paid for programing it won't finish the job. I'm left with a radio that still doesn't work, and no way to fix it except pay for it myself. After he couldn't just replace the radio, Frank is rude and abrupt. YOU should stay as far away from that place as only possible.

If you've dealt with the "Used Auto Parts" businesses, then you know how challenging it can be as…read moremost of the "customer service" reps don't give the best service or have the best attitude. In my experiences most of them act as if they've huffed too many petrol fumes and someone peed in their morning coffee. Needless to say, overall not a pleasant experience. With that said, there's always an exception to the rule, and the exception is William Vermette. I have been doing business with Chuck & Eddie's for a while now and I was lucky enough to get William on my first contact with C&E. He has helped me numerous times and is always pleasant, professional, courteous, considerate, and will go the extra mile to make sure your needs are taken care of. Do yourself a favor and ask for him at Plantsville, CT store and avoid the other curmudgeons behind the counter as he will make your transaction smooth and pleasant.

When I came back to return it, he refused to help because I didn't have the original paper receipt. I showed him a photo of the receipt and asked him to look up the purchase in the system since it was bought at this store, but he wouldn't even try. I also showed him that the part they sold me did not fit my car, but he just kept saying, "There's nothing we can do." There was no effort to fix the mistake, no exchange, and not even a store credit, even though the error was theirs. Because of this, I ended up losing nearly $300 and had to buy the correct part somewhere else. I've never experienced such poor customer service. I will not be returning, and I would not recommend this store to anyone

Firestone offers availability. They are that friend that you text in the middle night who answers…read morebecause everyone else is sleeping. Look. Firestone is not my 1st choice for any auto repair needs. Their prices are almost ALWAYS on the higher side (compared to local shops) but if you are in a pickle on a weekend and need work done, they come through in a clutch situation. Firestone has 7 days/week hours which gives them the win in availability. We had an issue with frozen brake calipers and because of this needed back rotors/pads to be replaced along with brake calipers. Brought it in end of Saturday and they had it ready to pick up first thing Sunday AM. My wife needs her car during the week and it was something that had to be fixed over the weekend and most locals shops that we get most of our work done with are closed. The staff was nice. They do try to suggest replacements of other stuff they notice as most shops do but when you say no, they will give you a sheet with suggested fixes so you can always think about it and come back later. My experiences although always more than I'd like spend, have been positive and I will continue to use them in a pinch. Quick Note: They offer warranties on most of their parts/work and I have heard (from family) they will easily honor those warranties when you bring it in.

Waterbury CT. location on Wolcott rd…read more Don't ask them to program TPMS sensors because they don't read directions. First off! I spent 3 hours in their shop just to have new sensors installed and programmed. They were training someone new who didn't follow directions correctly. They then told me my truck was all set but my aftermarket TPMS wasn't reading properly. He tried again but clearly didn't know the programming procedure while also forgetting to install an important lock feature. I told the manager I would go home, send him what he did incorrectly and could be back the next day for him to try again after he reviewed the directions he asked me to email to him. He never responded by email to tell me if he had read through the procedures or returned two messages I left with his employees. The reprogramming clearly stated to begin in a particular sequence which he clearly didn't but charged me anyway. I don't intend to remove this complaint unless they program my vehicle correctly at know charge or refund me for the procedure.
