He opened it on 12/25, but we didn't actually use it until mid-January. On his very first use, the coffee spilled all over him because the lid was cracked. I tried to avoid driving an hour back to the store, so I searched everywhere online for a replacement lid but couldn't find anything even remotely close. My last option was to return to the store to see if they would replace the defective lid. Unfortunately, I was told the return/exchange window had passed by just three days (01/15), and the employee refused to help. He even called the manager, who also said there was nothing they could do. When I asked where I could buy a replacement lid, the employee didn't know and mentioned that other customers have had the same issue with this type of lid -- which makes this even more concerning. To make matters worse, the only solution offered was for me to buy another insulated cup. That felt like a slap in the face considering the one I bought was defective. Because this was a Christmas gift, it sat in a gift bag for a while, which caused the defect to be discovered too late. Nowadays streetwear trends have shifted, blurring the line between casual fashion and high fashion. It's made its way into high fashion, collaborating with major fashion heavyweights like Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Dior, Vetements, etc. to list a few. Kings to me is what pure streetwear is all about at its core. No bots, no asinine reseller mark-ups, no insane pricetags, no bullshit. Just tried and true streetwear styles from iconic streetwear brands that have withstood the test of time. I'm thankful Kings and others like it still exist (Proper, BAIT, Bowls LA and Union are both kind of). I say kind of because Bowls opens whenever they want and Union definitely has a certain audience in mind with the brands they carry. While I understand that workplace issues need to be addressed, the employee was repeatedly spoken to in a degrading manner and was ultimately told to "go over there and do your thing." This interaction took place openly in front of coworkers and customers, making it difficult not to hear. In my opinion, this type of feedback should be handled privately and respectfully. Employees deserve to be corrected without being embarrassed or humiliated in front of others.
