Our daughter and husband suggested this restaurant which we visited on a weekday night. Friendly…read moreand attentive staff welcomed us despite the fact the place was packed! Our attentive hostess explained the menu, promptly submitted our appetizer and main course selections, and kept us supplied with drinks while we eagerly awaited our entrees. The food is locally prepared, and the passion and expertise of the chefs is evident in the fresh, hot meals they prepare. The taste of the typical fare was beyond our expectations, and we didn't have to force ourselves to visit a second time within 7 days! The restaurant clientele included couples, families, and singles; all received excellent, attentive service coupled with aromatic items on the menu . The atmosphere was warm and inviting; noise levels from content patrons were easily tolerable. I strongly recommend this restaurant, and, if you're lucky, you'll probably see my family there when you visit! Management appreciated our comments and welcomed us back for more exceptional dining experiences!

Here for the authentic New Mexican food experience. To start, the complimentary table salsa and…read morechips are incredible. Super smoky, chipotle flavor in the spicy salsa. The chips are perfect and pre-salted. Delish. Next, the queso. Chunky, tasty. A far cry from the runny white stuff we have in Alabama. That's not me complaining, each type of queso has its place. Now for the main event, I got the... drum roll... Frito Pie. This consisted of a bed of Fritos, topped with chilli, and with a tamale baked on top. It was nothing short of fantastic. Heavy, yes, but so worth it. I would like that as a comfort meal once a month. No alcohol served here. Perfect spot for a pre-nap lunch. Service was very fast and friendly. THe decor inside is classic Mexican style. Very casual.

Fuego 505, located on the NW side of The Burque, is a lively restaurant with plenty of TVs for…read morewatching sports. Parking can get quite scarce and cramped during busy dinner hours, on weekend nights, and when major sports events are happening, as the restaurant tends to fill up. Service was initially just okay. We waited about 5 minutes before anyone came to acknowledge our table. After that, servers poured multiple rounds waters and offered a few baskets of tortilla chips. From The Fire: Skewer options, accompanied by one or two sides, are available. Every skewer plate showcases wild exotic or rare game proteins you may not have had before: rabbit (they were out of this meat), snake, duck, bison, chicken and duck breast. Please expect a cook time of up to 45 minutes. ***It's listed on the menu and we absolutely waited that time for the snake, bison, duck sausage and duck breast*** The Fuego Burger topped with blue cheese crumbles, crispy bacon, caramelized onions, lettuce, tomato, and garlic aioli (on the side) was perfectly prepared.

Wildly different while still being so freaking amazing. There's a certain spice or something that they use in the Birria that hits just right. That's the only true way I can explain it. I can't tell if the 'consume' is chili or what from here? At Los Pookies it seems to be like a broth, but here is a thicker & spicier sauce which compliments the tacos so well. (please let me know!). It gets quite busy in here especially with it being setup as more of a sports bar, with the TV's and such. They have a shaded patio which I believe also may have a TV* (don't quote me on this part) . All the servers I have had have shown great hospitality. I will continue to return. -- Follow up before I post.. Last time I was here and it was really busy (like 30 min wait busy cuz of whatever game), I was feeling dizzy and they gave me water and a chair & made sure I was okay.. I feel especially this day and age is not something you see ever or expect. So thank you.
