Not fancy. Just right.

This is based on one random visit that was really good. I had the pork spare ribs and they were amazing. I will come back for these. The cheesy potatoes and collards were really good too. Chopped beef sausage was good. I ate outside on the porch and enjoyed a beautiful 85F October day with the sound of loud 18 wheelers and sweet smell of refinery in the air. Perfect!

Stop by for lunch after a doctors appointment and it was delicious. Ordered the smoked turkey sandwich with sauce , onion ,pickles and a side of baked beans with a large unsweetened tea and everything was delicious. The bread was soft and the turkey was amazing. I'll definitely be back to try other menu items. Restaurant was clean and the staff was very friendly.

This place is kind of small, but the staff was very friendly. Got a 2 meat plate with sliced brisket, ribs, baked beans, and macaroni. The brisket could use some work to be honest, however the ribs were juicy and soft, the beans were pretty flavorful, and the macaroni was tasty. I'd wanna try the chopped brisket if I'm ever nearby again. Overall though good food, portions, and a welcoming staff

Beef brisket dinner with potato salad and corn

I am not typically one to knock restaurants, but this was a pretty hard flop. Half of the selection on the menu was unavailable, Sliced Brisket is very bland, not bad per say, just dry and unremarkable. No bark and the smoke ring is very faint and probably fake. Sauce isn't any better , corns direct from a can unseasoned. Would be hard pressed to return or recommend. Price point is fair for quantity of food just not quality

The chopped beef potato looked to gross to eat. As hungry as I was it was not difficult to return. The food is overpriced for the quality.

My partner had the brisket sandwich with potato salad and a small helping of pickles and pickled red onions and I had the pulled pork tacos. My partner said the brisket sandwich was okay, but we both agreed that the potato salad was fantastic! The potato salad was way better than the one at Pappas Barbecue. The taste of the pulled pork tacos was great, but it was honestly too wet and made the flour tortillas too soggy and there was way too much coleslaw on top. I feel like if Killen's is going to serve pulled pork tacos there needs to be three things done. 1. Serve the tacos with an option of corn tortillas because I feel corn tortillas would've worked better to give a great contrast/pairing with the sweetness of the pulled pork and sauce. 2. Serve the corn/flour tortillas on the side so that they don't get soggy and wet. 3. There are some things that just don't belong on a taco of any kind and that's coleslaw. My partner and I also tasted the banana pudding and to say it was divine is an understatement. What I really like about this pudding was that you could taste real bananas in this pudding and it had been mixed well all together. Our total was $80 after tipping, which is a little pricey for some of the items, but honestly I would definitely come back to Killen's Barbecue when I was in the mood for barbecue.

Food: Enticing to the eyes, fresh, and quality is top notch. I definitely recommend. You get more for your money the average cost per person dinner was 34. Service: Our first time here to the "mountain " and I must say we were met with smiles and courtesy by the manager/owner. Waitress who sat our party was friendly . Our waiter who was Derrick, was so knowledgeable on the menu and was prompt in checking in on us. He really made our experience one in which we will come back! Ambiance: How can you not love Pikachu. Enough said but the overhead star lighting on the ceiling combines with the sports like TV's, the bar area was nice to sit and eat. If you order from bar they will grill you proteins prior to bringing out. Guest Centerpoint table grill was clean also had spray oil, staff made rounds frequently to change out the centerpoint grill for a fresh one. I observed them cleaning a section after guest departed inwhich included a wiping down of the entire seats top and bottom and back ( wow impressive!!). It's not only a family oriented restaurant, but if you only want to go have drinks maybe watch the Game this is the SPOT to be. Final: I never ate Japanese food where it was brought raw (AI robot) and we were able to grill it. I must say Yama Kitchen where have you been all my life? I highly recommend and thank you to the two managers and Derrick for making our first visit a memorable one. Oh lastly we were given a sample of: Japanese Plum wine, it was delicious!

The music was playing hits back to back and if its your birthday they have pikachu come out with "bottle service vibes" lol. Food: 5/10 Would not come back again for this. They do have a buffet station with a decent selection. They had mixed seafood (crawfish, muscles, and shrimp), a few soup options, lots of fried foods, and salads. They don't have a big variety of meat selections compared to other KBBQ spots. We did try most of the meats and they all tasted just about the same, it was nothing really special. The sashimi was okay, it came out a bit warmer than what I expected. Overall I would rate this place a 6.5/10. **Note: my brother did say the food here destroyed his stomach!
