I'm terrified of the dentist and know I need a lot of work done. I was comfortable with the staff right away and they took the time to discuss my situation without my feeling rushed. I was sure I would go back and get started with them. But I kept putting off making my next appointment, and it took me awhile to put my finger on it, but then it hit me. I had clearly stated what I wanted to do and what I could afford, and the doctor kept talking around that, back door style, about what she was going to do. In other words, she wasn't really listening to my needs - or caring about my needs - and was only going to go in the direction she wanted to. I think if you don't have extreme dental issues, this would be a great dentist, but if you have other circumstances, it's not the right place. read more

As far as dentist visits go this one topped the charts. The staff was incredibly kind and complimentary. The service was timely. And Dr. Martinez was such a pro. She took her time explaining everything to me, gave me great advice and while the deep cleaning was a bit painful (not her fault - mine for letting my plaque get out of control) she was attentive and would stop if I ever winced too hard to make sure I was doing OK. It's not inexpensive but then again I find dentistry fees to be absurd. At least they're very transparent about pricing and give you little goodie bags with dental tools and accessories to take home with you. I hate the dentist but, since it's a necessary evil, I'm glad I found No Limits Dental to keep my smile sparkling. read more

I made the decision to visit Dr. Rodriguez after hearing her speak at an event at the Cornell Club (she attended undergrad at Cornell). What caught my ear was her discussion about the terrible experiences she had as a child visiting dentists/orthodontists who (1) didn't care about their patients, and (2) simply weren't that good at what they did. She went on to note that those experiences guided and motivated her to enter the dentistry field in order to provide patients - both young and old - with a level of qualitative care that would leave more of a positive impression about the field as a whole. I can personally tell you that she has MORE than succeeded in that goal. Like many mid twenty-year-olds who get kicked off of their parents insurance and whose first jobs provide crappy dental insurance (if any at all), I stopped regularly going to the dentist around 25. By the time I was further along in my career to have the insurance/financial means to start taking care of my dental health again, I needed three root canals, three crowns, and two fillings. After getting the root canals taken care of over at City Endodontics (see my review of Dr. Johnson), I reached out to Dr. Rodriguez to help me with the rest. She and her No Limits team immediately stepped up and took care of me in a way - both professionally, and substantively - that no dentist ever has before. The crowns that she digitally scanned my mouth for look exactly like my teeth always had, pre-drilling. Speaking of the drilling, it was never uncomfortable or anxiety-inducing because she informs you of every step along the way, whether it's injecting your gums with the numbing agent, to the actual drilling, to even when they're squirting water in your mouth to rinse. You'll always know what's about to happen. I read a couple of the negative reviews but as of 2018, that simply was not my experience here. As an avid Yelper (not just when I'm disappointed with a service), if the service here was bad in any way, I'd let you know. Contrarily, however, the service not only matched, but exceeded my every expectation. For those reasons, Dr. Rodriguez will be my dentist for the very long run, as she should also be yours as well. Trust your gut, whoever referred you to her, and all of these reviews, and simply give her a call. I just can't see you being disappointed. read more

Dr. Nadia Rodriguez is such a phenomenal dentist, and her office staff are both warm and professional. The office was able to fit me in quickly when I called because of some pain I was experiencing in my top molar. Dr. Rodriguez was comforting, thorough and quick in her diagnosis (which I already suspected). Nobody wants to get a root canal and a crown, but if I have to get one, there is absolutely no one I would rather do it than Dr. Rodriguez. I highly recommend her! read more

I've been going here for a few years now and have always loved my experience. I was nervous to go during COVID but felt like all of the precautions they took were completely up to par (without making me feel uncomfortable) and also felt like they still kept that personable approach to the experience, which I love so much. I'll put my stuff out in the open and say that I had to have a TON of work done including a couple of root canals & crowns, as well as several fillings, and Dr. Rodriguez has been super-helpful in ensuring that we take care of all the necessary steps. I've never felt compelled to write a Yelp review until now. I went to No Limits Dental last month for my six-month appointment. I've been going to the dentist every six months since I was a little kid, and this was my very first dental appointment here after moving to NYC. I've only ever had one cavity my whole life, and have always brushed my teeth twice a day, flossed, and very rarely drink soda. During this appointment, after a minute of poking around my teeth, I was informed that I had three cavities! Nadia did take the time to show me some images of my cavity-ridden teeth, but I still couldn't believe it. She also took some routine X-Rays, but I did not get the chance to see the cavities on those X-Rays. In addition, I did not get any oral cancer screening and she did not take the time to examine my jaw as part of the routine check-up. I scheduled a follow-up appointment with her to take care of these cavities, but I still felt very uneasy about the whole situation - my gut told me I should get a second opinion. Long story short, I received a second opinion from a totally different dentist. He told me that I had only one very small cavity, and that what appeared to be cavities on my other teeth were actually stained sealants. He said my teeth were perfectly fine, and was very perplexed as to how the stained sealants could have been confused with cavities. He also did not see any sign of cavities on the X-Rays that he took. Please, please, please - before getting any unnecessary dental work done, do your homework, and get a second opinion. Maybe it's easy to mixup stained sealants with cavities, but these cavities probably would have also appeared on any X-Rays. Needless to say, I will not be returning to this dentist, and will instead be going to the other dentist I visited. read more

Beware the Upsell I gave this practice four chances and one formal (as in, not public) complaint before leaving and posting this review. This would be a totally pleasant and quality practice if not for the aggressive upselling of unnecessary preventive procedures. Those I have had pushed on me include sealant, fluoride, braces/Invisalign, and perhaps most distressingly, fillings and drilling for receding gum lines or minor chips (a.k.a. not real cavities). The practice also includes multiple entry-level dentists all operating under the brand of Dr. Rodriguez. I don't think they are bad dentists, and the cleaning and light work I have had done have been fine--but the transparency with which they try to scare patients into either tapping their insurance or spending out of pocket for unnecessary work "just in case" is startling. I will be returning to a more established practice that doesn't depend on unnecessary procedures to keep their office sparkly. Also, hot towel service? Never saw or heard of it in my visits. read more

Went there for emergency and did not help at all. Arrived in pain and left in pain. The most important aspect of the business was creating a referral situation to earn money. Didn't have the necessary items to complete a procedure, therefore, send me to another practice to have tooth extracted and bone added for a future implant. Wanted me to pay out of pocket cost of $245 for a temporary flip tooth impression. The office that they use as a referal could not even tell me the cost of the extraction and bone insert. Dentist and Receptionist literally laugh at me like it was something funny...what true professional would ever do that? I made a bad quick decision by going there and wasting my time...all the while in pain...arrived in pain and left in pain!111...Beware of the referal scam!!! read more

Dr. Rodriguez and her staff were very friendly and professional. I had not been to the dentist in quite some time, so I required a thorough cleaning. Previously, I have left the cleaning chair in discomfort from aggressive cleaning, but this time different. It was readily apparent the work that was done and not nearly as uncomfortable as I have experienced in the past. I mentioned areas concern due to appearance and Dr. Rodriguez checked those points but confirmed with the hygienist thought in that those areas were not serious issues. I experienced a premium level of service from the moment I entered their very clean/modern Central Park South office and was greeted by a very welcoming reception staff. Dr. Rodriguez clearly explained the tooth crowing process to me and completed the service painlessly. I had such an unexpectedly positive experience, that I came into the office the following week for a tooth whitening service. I have successfully found a great dentist and now have an even more confident smile. I'm normally very afraid of going to the dentist for a cleaning or cavities filling since my gums are very sensitive. However, the staff at No Limits Dental made it a wonderful first time experience for me. There was no wait time at all. I went on a Wednesday at 2 p.m. I walked in about 10 minutes late to my appointment. The receptionist was very nice and asked me to fill out 8 forms via an iPad (great technology) and took a photo of me for their record. Right after I was walked into the office by another staff member who took photos of my smile and xrays of my teeth. She was very gentle and made me feel very comfortable. As soon as she was done, the hygentist and the dentist came in to discuss my teeth and what I can do to improve my smile and to prolong my gingivitis. I was there for about 2 hours - 1 hour for cleaning and the hygentist exam each of my tooth and how bad the gums recession was on each tooth on a scale. I never had this sort of detailed examination before. The cleanings are normally a 20 minute procedure but I haven't gone in 2 years so I had a lot of built up. She gave me a free quip toothbrush and mouthwash to use to slow down my gum recession. The dentist filled in my cavities with no pain. In summary, I highly recommend No Limits Dental. As other users have commented, they have great technology, the staffs are friendly, no wait time, and most importantly they made me feel like they care about my oral health. read more

I had an appointment and was excited because Dr. Rodriguez seems wonderful from her reviews as a physician, however I work in healthcare. Today I had to deal with a case a bit later and forgot about this appointment so I did not cancel. I received 4 missed calls but no voicemails... and then my mom was called since I had her listed as an emergency contact. I called the office and asked why my emergency contact was used and the woman said because i couldn't reach you. I tried to like going to this office, I really did. I found Dr. Rodriguez through my insurance company as I wanted a dentist near my office. She received great reviews on ZocDoc so I felt confident making the appointment. The first time I went in October 2014, I had an exam, X-rays, and a cleaning. After the exam and X-rays, Dr. Rodriguez commented on an area of concern and I told her I previously had a root canal and cap (with a different Dentist) there. She responded with "No, you haven't had any root canals." OH?? Then what was all that fun last year? She closely examined the X-rays again and finally noticed it. I did not feel good about having a dentist who cannot recognize dental work in my mouth. I was in need of a filing but told her I would come back for it. I did not feel comfortable having any serious work done by her after that large oversight. Fast forward to this month when I was in desperate need of a cleaning. I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Rodriguez again since the cleaning itself she had done was fine and I am all for second chances. The day before the appointment she asked me via email to come in at 8:30 rather than 8 which was no problem for me. However, at the time of the appointment I was not seen until 8:50, and she did not come out to tell me she was running even more behind than expected. Aside from extra waiting time being annoying, most people who make early appointments do so because they have work during the day. Needless to say, I was late to work. At the beginning of the cleaning, Dr. Rodriguez pushed my bottom lip down with such lack of care that it split my lip in a very painful way and left me bleeding. While Dr. Rodriguez is a polite woman and easy to contact through e-mail, I was so put off by her manner of practice both times that I am never going back. read more

The office is very clean and the rooms are nice and bright. I hadn't been to the dentist in over 2 years but Dr. Rodriguez made me feel very comfortable and relaxed. At first, I too was impressed with the staff over the phone and thought I had found a good place where my whole family could go. However, upon going there, I was dissapointed. First, the staff is very pushy with x-rays upon entering the clinic and filling out forms, not only for adults but for small kids as well (although when I asked the kid's dentist if it was required, she said they do not take X-rays for children unless necessary - clearly there is a lack of communication between dentist and staff). The cleaning was good but light (they spent more time taking pictures with a camera of the inside of my mouth) - I've had better. After cleaning, I was told by the hygienist my teeth were perfect and there was no need for anything and to keep doing what I'm doing. So, I was quite surprised by the fact that Dr. Ghattas pushed Invisalign so hard, made me wonder what she gets out of it. However, in hind sight I shoud not have been surprised as I had overheard her pushing it to another patient in the room next door. I've been to many top dentists and have always been told I have perfect teeth. But what was truly the best part was her funny explaination as to why I would need it. As a dentist, she also couldn't tell whether I had ever worn braces. She in fact asked me three times while pushing Invisalign. It's truly a shame, not very professional. read more

I was impressed with this dental office at first - the staff is great to deal with, the dentist made me feel at ease, and I thought I had found my new practice. I was told I needed 3 crowns and a cavity filled in my first visit. I had been seeing my long time dentist (who had retired) 3x per year for cleanings for many years, so I was surprised, but accepted the diagnosis at face value. After the initial diagnosis by Dr. Rodriguez, all the primary work was switched over to another dentist within the practice. The dentist did a color match for the crowns with the standard color swatch, so after the crowns were put I was astonished to see that the color was much brighter and whiter than my own teeth. It's as if I have white Chicklets in my mouth. I decided to move on to a new dentist due to this experience and have seen him 3 times - once for an initial evaluation and cleaning, once for a deep scaling cleaning (which was recommended due to some deep gum pockets - more on that later) and again today for a follow up. After the deep scaling, he recommended gum surgery at some point soon to deal with the pockets. Today he showed me my x-rays to illustrate where my crowns impede past the gum line (one right up to the bone) and guess which 3 crowns are the affected areas - yup, the the 3 Chicklets crowns from No Limit Dental. My new dentist took the professional high road, and was not blaming the prior dentist, but it was clear in his information and the x-ray that these crowns were fitted improperly. I was able to live with poor cosmetic work from No Limits, but I am furious that the work has now incurred a medical situation that will require gum surgery. read more

I've been going to different dentists over the course of 2 years with no luck of finding a good one. so i started my search and found this office on zocdoc and came based on Yelp reviews. best decision ever! the receptionist Ashley took my appointment and she was so patient and helpful taking down my info, never rushed me. came next day for my cleaning/checkup. clean, cute office friendly staff. the Hygienist named Aura did an excellent job getting in between my teeth taking her time to do an excellent cleaning. Dr. Rodriguez was honest with me about my teeth and gums and made me feel at ease. cant wait for my next 6 month checkup. highly recommend this place. this is not a paid advertisement! LOL read more
