***Placed Online Order for Pickup***…read more Since I've been living in California, I had no clue of the Stanley craze that's been happening for years...including how people flesh their tumblers out with accessories. California seems to be more of a Yeti state and I didn't once see accessorized tumblers there. Anyway, I'm catching up. I decided to go retro 80s with mine since I'm an 80s baby and I purchased a 40 oz Stanley Hyper Geo Tumbler to get the vibe going...setting my online purchase pickup for this location. It was ready within a matter of minutes. YESSSSS! But when I got to the location, I couldn't tell what was the front of the store, the side of the store, the back of the store. One side even had black plastic tarp of some sort covering all of the window s from floor to ceiling on the inside, confusing me as if it were a closed location under renovation. Once I called, I was prompted to keep driving all the way around the building to the "Macy's side" of the store and voila...found it. Walked up to the cash register for help and he followed me over to pickup, checked my name and I was good to go. I can't speak on what service is like outside of online orders, but the process for the online order was SUPER quick and fairly smooth. REMEMBER: The entrance is on the Macy's side.

They have a great selection, which I appreciated, but be prepared to spend some time--just finding someone to help, trying shoes on, and checking out took longer than expected. It definitely wasn't the easiest or fastest process, but I left with a pair I really like and, in the end, got the help I needed. Worth it if you're patient and know what you're looking for -- or go during the week. Weekends seem to be crazy busy.

Sneakers often referred as kicks is the origination of the store's name. The layout of the store is spacious with sneakers positioned in such a way that you clearly see all the shoes. Also, the styles and colors are plentiful. Today the store sales associates highlighted that they were having a special Valentine's event later in the evening. They have specials events from time to time in store. Service is the secret sauce in Kicking It! From the time you swing open the door you are greeted in a very pleasant way. The sales associate ask if you are looking for anything special. They are poised to direct you to the section of the store of the requested shoe. The sales folks feel like family, so there is no high pressure sales tactics. You could peruse the sneakers at your leisure. Sneakers are not cheap. My nephews and nieces have quite a selection of sneakers, so I was prepared to hear the prices. In life, sometimes you get what you pay for. If you are looking for a special sneaker, Kicking It would be the first place I would try.

Customer service was on point which is necessary for me and to top it off they had a bomb DJ spinning and HH while I shopped. Thanks for welcoming my Sandal head in your sneaker world. My favorite part about the experience was the historical details behind my purchase.

In fact, if they were a cat they might have exceeded their nine lives. Have you had the feeling like you can feel air hitting your feet, yet you do not know where it was coming from. Then you look down and realize that your toe is poking out of your shoe. Yep, that's what happened to me. Fortunately, I have a backup pair of tennis shoes, so I quickly activated plan B. Off I went to the Nike store in search of new pair of tennis shoes. I walked into the store with the confidence of a woman who new exactly what she wanted in an absolutely uncertain way. I told the sales representative I needed tennis shoes that said, "I'm an athlete but also person who cry at romantic comedies." He handed me a pair that looked like they could be perfect until I saw the price tag. Who pays over $100 for tennis shoes...not me! Did $50 tennis shoes go out with the dark ages? Have I been living under a rock? Remember discounts and sales are my shopping love language. Trying them on was a feat. Size 9, please. Well, no 9's in that style, but here's a 8 for sizing. What exactly does that mean? I have worn a size 9 tennis shoes for about 15 years. First, I had to wrestle my foot in like I was stuffing an air mattress back into its original packaging. I stumbled up and felt like my feet was pulsating the song "We will rock you" by Queen. To test drive these shoes, I did a test jog down the aisle and back, narrowly avoiding a stack of shoeboxes and a child throwing tiny cars like little projectile missiles. The service was very good in the store. I cannot make a quick decision regarding expensive tennis shoes. So, I decided to wait for the Black Friday Sale in November or perhaps an earlier sale.
