Called on a Sunday at 10 am and was in the pedicure chair by 10:20. Had a great pedicure, they did not skip the leg and foot massage like other local places. Used hot towels on my legs and all in all it was a relaxing experience. I only gave 4 stars as the polish doesn't 100% fill my nail beds on my smaller 4 toes like it does on my big toes (if that makes sense - like the polish doesn't go completely to the sides of the nail bed). I will return as the salon was very clean compared to others I've been in and the owners were nice. read more

Went in for a get manicure. Limited options, i wanted a chrome gold tip & received this. Good color mix given the limited options but not what i wanted. My French tip on the toes was done very quick & the quality shows. These pictures were taken the same day i walked out the shop. Disappointed to say the least. Will not be returning. I went in on a Sunday to get a simple nail dip done. By Wednesday every single nail had cracks in them. She had no clue what she was doing and overdipped so many times. I tried to explain to her that she was dipping too much and not allowing the dip to dry in between, however she speaks no English so that went over her head . Would give this place 0 stars if I was able to. I definitely wouldn't recommend it and would never go back! I never do bad reviews, but this is the worst nail job I've ever had! read more

Went this afternoon for a pedicure and fill. My nails look really nice, but....he was a little rough with everything. He sat on the side of the pedicure chair and it was just odd and awkward. He stayed on one side so it was awkward....my feet stayed in water until it was cold. They were both difficult to understand. Am assuming it's a husband & wife team. Seemed to be just them and it wasn't busy at all. They talked the whole time, Vietnamese possibly. The lady came and did my toes when she finished with another customer. She did an ok job, it just wasn't relaxing at all. I tried this place because the wait was long at Nova. Nova is really good for relaxation but the prices are higher. 1 star because it made me! Never again! I am a nail tech without high expectations since I don't get time with 2 toddlers n appreciate a much needed pedicure. The lady finished my pedicure in 10 minutes. She left in a hurry and left the guy to paint my toes. I told her do not cut the sides of my nails because it causes ingrowns. I looked and she cut every corner n sides and my nails are now rounded. I tried squaring them with the file sitting there and noticed alll the cuticle left behind. So I grabbed the nipper and filled it 3x with cuticle while waiting n could have kept going. The guy starts painting n I asked if he can please paint the entire nail the next coat. (Literally painted so far from sides and cuticle. Only middle line was painted) He got very rude and defensive and handed me the polish n said show him That I can do better, so I did paint one nail n showed him a fully painted nail. he continued to be very rude. Making comments that if every client was this way, he would close down. Said I dont have to pay since that's what I want. Clearly, I came to pay, ur being rude n shouldn't react that way when a client asks u to fix something. He continued making comments as I asked him to remove all of the polish (yes, it was that bad) and he got even more belligerent with his comments. It is no wonder why 3 people were no shows before me and he only has himself and his wife to work. I can not believe this place is still open. Horrible!! The guy sat on his phone the whole time he was doing my pedicure and the lady sucks at painting nails!! The pedicure lasted all of 12 mins AND they rub lotion onto your feet while still wet!! Left nail polish all around my toes and didn't clean it up! Will NEVER come here again!! They easily fit three of us in at 6pm at night, three cousins for manicures and a pedicure to prepare for one of us getting married the next day! They were awesome and we all ended up with gorgeous hands! The place was super clean, they had a big selection of polish, and dealt with three indecisive women very kindly. Time They take for ever to do your nails. The lady told me that there will be a five minute wait and next thing you know it has been 30 minutes. They still haven't done my nails! There was a lady who came in after me and she had her nails done before me. There are only two workers and 10 people here. They should have really thought about bringing someone to help! read more

Non-English speaking store. The staff is not interested in the American customers. They are not hygienic and I've watched customers get hurt by cuticle clippers. During my pedicure the woman had no interest in my service and spent all of her time speaking Vietnamese to the other workers. In addition, another worker came in with her wears from a shopping spree and they were focused on that and nothing else. Too many of these shops have come to Yorkville and I've found them all to be non-American friendly, dirty and simply rude and ignorant towards clients. Failed in keeping appointments and chatting on cell phones while servicing clients. I agree with the former reviewer using the term "chop shop" as these people are only interested in turning volume. If you have these poor experiences you really need to report them to the county health department, like I have, or these types of slum businesses will continue to exist. read more

Don't waste you time or money. I went there when they first started and they did a great job! Now it is dirty, nasty and there customer service etiquette is seriously rude! They make you wait as they start everyone walking thru the door then rush thru your service! Pay a little more some other place and save yourself the grief!!! I have visited the salon a few times. I find the husband, wife and young daughter to be very nice. They are clean and courteous. The manicures are well done by each of them. I am writing this review because the review posted is so prejudice and hateful I can not image we are talking about the same place. I am in my fifties and I have visited all sort of nail salons. I chose a color and he said NO this color is better i was like NO i want this color, the whole time he did my nails he was talking in another language to the other lady, RUDE! Very poor communication. Meaning you can show up, they'll seat you, leading you to believe you're next. Nope! I sat there for 30 minutes patiently, then when one employee finished a manicure the other also finished two pedicures, they got up and set up the two pedicures for manicures!!! It wasn't until I asked what was going on that the lady said it would be another 20 minutes which I don't believe they could have completed a manicure that fast. My nail shape came out okay but my fingers hurt from how hard he was filling my nails and buffing them. The girl who painted my nails did a terrible job there are some parts on my nails that need another layer of nail polish. The guy was really rude my mother and i went on sunday and their hours are 11:00am-5:00pm. We made an appointment at 3 we got there at waited but while he was doing our nails he told us not to come on the weekends only on weekdays because he closes early on weekends because he has to go "partying" he said he closes early on saturdays for the same reason when i made the appointment on saturday. I honestly had a terrible time and I wish I would have gone elsewhere. There were only 2 people working and 5 waiting to get their nails done today. One lady went back and forth between doing mine and my friends manicure. She was so rushed she barely gave me a manicure. When she went to push back my cuticles, she pushed one spot back, then proceeded to touch my other nails with the tool to make it look like she was pushing them back when she wasn't. Plus her hand massage was a joke. Very bad. She put one tiny drop of lotion on my hand kind on massaged it in then told me to wash it off. Terrible compared to other places. read more
