My name is Art Sotelo, and I am employed by Active Alarm Company, Inc. I have been with the company…read morefor more than 35 years and have worked extensively with fire alarm systems for over 25 years. Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to work with many fire alarm service providers, manufacturers, monitoring companies, and industry representatives. As a result, I have developed a strong appreciation for professionalism, responsiveness, and exceptional customer service. I am writing today to express my sincere gratitude and recognition for the outstanding assistance provided by the Chicago Metropolitan Fire Prevention (CMFP), and in particular, Ms. Irene Sandner. From the moment I reached out regarding a project at the Northwind Boulevard business complex in Libertyville, Illinois, Irene demonstrated an exceptional level of professionalism, courtesy, and commitment to customer service. She responded promptly to my emails and phone calls, provided clear communication throughout the process, and worked diligently to assist us with a challenging situation involving the fire alarm system serving a tenant space located at the Northwind Blvd. Due to project timelines and occupancy requirements, obtaining critical system information was essential for Active Alarm Company to complete our work and move the project forward. Despite the short notice, Irene coordinated assistance and was instrumental in arranging a service technician to help us obtain the information necessary to proceed. The technician's support was invaluable, and the cooperation extended by CMFP allowed us to continue our efforts without unnecessary delays. In an industry where responsiveness and teamwork are often critical to project success, Irene's dedication and willingness to help stood out. Her professionalism reflected positively not only on herself but also on CMFP as a whole. It is refreshing to work with individuals who genuinely care about helping others find solutions and who approach every situation with patience, expertise, and a positive attitude. I would like to extend my sincere thanks to Irene, the service technician Ino who assisted us in obtaining the information needed, and the entire CMFP team, for their support. Please know that your efforts were greatly appreciated and did not go unnoticed. Should Active Alarm Company encounter another facility serviced by CMFP in the future, I will not hesitate to reach out to Irene and your team again. Based on this experience, I would be confident recommending CMFP's services and support to others within our industry. Thank you again for your assistance, professionalism, and commitment to excellent customer service. I wish Irene and the entire CMFP staff a wonderful weekend and a safe, enjoyable, and successful summer season. With sincere appreciation, Warm Regards Art S.

Easy to reserve and confirm what was needed (updated tags). The tech was a little more than 30 minutes later than the window of time, but that's not the end of the world. The only complaints I could think of was the address on the Service Agreement paperwork was correct in some spots and incorrect in other spots, so the tech ended up at the wrong address and had to call me to clarify. The tech was transparent about the final cost of billing, which rivaled other companies. He was a bit confused about how to put the extinguisher back on the hook, and I had to show him what to do. (Apparently our extinguishers look different than whatever is popular these days.) He also thought ours expired until I showed him the sticker that the prior company confirmed meant we had several years before we needed to replace them. In an odd sorta way, I'm glad we had the no-show company last year so I was better prepared for how to answer questions during the inspection this year. I'm not sure I would've known about the second sticker if not for that. Friendly tech and easy to talk to. I'd be happy to re-hire them next year if I'm still on the board. Customer service via phone and email was attentive, too. I'm still waiting on an updated email bill, but other than that, all good.

Surprise early heatwave in Chicago and my central AC stopped working completely. When I reached out to Joe it was 98 degrees inside and I was living on a prayer - I figured I'd need one to find someone to come take a look for me. First call I made was not in fact to Joe but another competitor in the area & I got an estimate of 5 business days for them to come take a look. My next call was to Joe which was at around 4:30 pm on Tuesday. I got through to him right away. Joe was friendly and very receptive. Right off the bat he was up front and honest with me saying that the soonest he could come would be about 24 hours give or take because of already booked appointments. I appreciated the honesty, opened my day, and booked the service appointment. To get technical it was only in fact 17 hours that I had to wait & when Joe showed up I was so worried that something major was wrong and that I would either not be able to afford it or I'd empty my bank account trying . Long story short, Joe reassured me and it turned out that my AC system just needed a really good cleaning and a shot of Free-on. I spent PENNIES compared to what I thought I was going to have to shell out and I was absolutely blown away to have met such an honest, capable AC guy. Less than 2 hours and it's already 5 degrees cooler inside. I was so taken aback, to be honest. To have such a wonderful customer service experience seems so rare these days. Joe is already booked to come back and do a maintenance system clean in 6 months. I highly, HIGHLY recommend Joe for any and honestly all HVAC jobs.
