An hole in the wall, but taste, portion, & prices did NOT disappoint! The staff was friendly & my order of crab Rangoon was made ready in about 5 minutes. The place is old, rips on some benches, & pile of boxes in one corner, but food was surprisingly fresh & tasty! We got orange chicken, peppered chicken, seafood vegetable stir fry, broccoli beef, a box of 12 crab Rangoons. A box of noodles or fried rice with 2 items is $8.75 & it is stuffed & comes with an eggroll. They also gave us a medium-sized piece of bbq pork. It is a lot of food, enough for at least 2 meals! A box of 12 crab Rangoons was $5.99, & they were decent! The beef broccoli was tasty with perfectly cooked broccoli (not soggy) & tender beef. Everything else was also tasty. The peppered chicken was crispy but tender inside. The eggroll was pretty good, better than some quick Chinese places. This may not be a place for a date or a corporate meeting, but perfect for quick pick up when you don't feel like eating fast food!

It was time for a much needed quick bite. I was craving chinese food so, I decided No 1 Chinese Restaurant will have to do. It was an interesting experience! I remember come her back in my glory days when I was in college. I loved it back in the day. I remember their food being warm and fresh. My how things have changed! When I walked up, this couple was walking out and the guy spit in front his date!? I walked in and this couple, who seemed like regulars were ordering complex combos and lady was indecisive too. Might I add they waited a minute too. By the time I ordered my food the pyt, she was actually Hispanic w light eyes, light skin and pretty eyeshadow was a bit stressed. I was definitely feeling her energy. I heard her say, a customer at the drive through got the wrong order. I felt so uncomfortable. I didnt want to ask for amything else. Really awkward. Sweet and Sour Chicken with Fried rice and an egg roll for 3.99+ tax is what Inordered. What a steal! However, I was really disappointed. I took my first bite and was thinking, ugh.. "this is old stale and crusty!" It was definitely not fresh. They are also slim on the sweet and sour sauce. My eggroll was ok. It was salty semi crispy. Their fried rice wasnt the best. It had caramelized onions and dried up tastless peas. I sat down in a booth and their was significant wear and tear. As soon as I sat down, their was no support or comfort. I was like, can this even hold my skinny butt?? I think, they should get a new booth or reupholster it. Also, my table was wobbly. I cant help but, to notice the walls were dirty and needed some paint. As I ate, my not so No 1 Chinese food, soft classical music played, which instaneously made me feel calm. Boy, I needed that after what I experienced thus far! It was a really nice feeling thats very therapeutic after a long boring day in accounting.Lol Dazing out the window, I regretted not going to Taco Casa. Lol. While I was looking out the window I saw a woman dash into the parking lot. She zoomed into a parking space, as if, it were the last one left! I was disappointed. It was a definite joy killer from the moment I arrived.. The negative energy, the semi pleasant enviroment and not so tasty food was a downfall. I do enjoy their prices and thev have good lighting and white tables that make pictures come out good. Im a woman of chances. Perhaps, theres something else on the menu I could try? I look forward to trying their sesame chicken, steamed rice or LoMein. If you have good pricing nothing scare me away. Lol

Yummy!!! Yummy!!! Get in my tummy..... I love to try small, hole-in-the wall places. Truth be told they always have the best food for a cheap price. I would drive here for their food and prices. You would have to, given the location. Very deep into Fort Worth. I stop by when I am in the area. About four bucks and some change will get you one meat, two sides, egg roll, a drink, and fortune cookie. I always opt for Jalapeno Chicken (it has a small kick), lo mein, fried frice, egg roll, fortune cookie, and mountain dew. All under five bucks, its a win-win. Now, I do suggest going inside for a sample, make sure its fresh. Too far of a drive to come back. Good thing, as with any Chinese joint, samples are free!!! The thing is you would think it would be a small portion-nope!!! Don't let the outside fool ya. The inside either, its not fancy, no thrills. But, worth a try. If you blink, you will definitely miss this place. They are nice too. They give you all the soy sauce you want!!!

Lo Mein with Sesame and Orange Chicken. Egg Roll and Bottled Lime Soda

Looking at these reviews, and i'm very confused. In my personal experience, I thought this place was great. Building does not pass the eye test, nor does the inside as there's boxes everywhere. But environment does not make a huge impact on my reviews. I ordered Lo Mein with Sesame and Orange Chicken and also got an Egg Roll. They absolutely loaded up my box. I also grabbed some Soy Sauce and Sweet and Sour Sauce (i think). Lo Mein was pretty good, but the Orange and Sesame Chicken did it for me. Both very good flavor and texture. Egg Roll was solid too and the Soy Sauce (not the packet but the container) was very very good. Honestly very impressed with this place!

This is the worst chinese restaurant I've been to and I wouldn't even give it 1 star but had to leave a review. Food taste awful like it has been recycled or recooked. One day went to give it another shot but it was closed with Danger Sticker on every window and that gave a confirmation of what I thought these many years about this place. Warning to anyone who decides to eat here there's a chance that you could become sick. I will never buy from this place ever again.

this restaurant use to be my favorite place until today I encountered a very rude drive thru worker tonight I drove up to the intercom sat there minute and blew my horn no response so I drove around as I wait for her to come to the window to take my order she tells me since she didn't hear me she couldn't take my order Im like excuse me since I didn't hear you you have to go back through the line I have to take the people behind you that I heard at this point I ask for a manager she tells me theres not a manager so I ask for the store number she tells me to google it so go inside to order and ask for a manager and let her know that she has poor customer service skills, I spoke with a young man there that' said he was the manager and explained what just happened he apologized and stated he is aware of the malfunction of the intercom I explained that this is- second time that intercom this week has malfunctioned but how as a customer is that my faultlong story short I want be back I don't recommend this place one bad apple can spoil the whole bunch,

She asked if we had a reservation (at 12 noon on a Sunday!). We didn't as we had just learned of the restaurant 10 minutes prior thanks to Yelp. She told us "no problem, we have a table where you can sit or you are welcome to sit at the bar." We chose the table. Once there, a kind woman brought us ice water, welcomed us, and told us to relax and enjoy ourselves. There is no rush to eat quickly. Next arrived our friendly & awesome waiter! Once he learned that it was our first time there, he asked if we needed any help in decifering the menu and offered his assistance should we need it. We told him we were ready to order... Then the food arrived.... We ordered the chicken, celery, and carrot dumplings, wagyu potstickers, Peking duck, and traditional chicken fried rice to eat family style. Wagyu potstickers - they were good. You could definitely enjoy these with or without the sauce that they provided. Traditional chicken fried rice - the rice was too moist and lacked flavor. (My son thought it had too many peas. I thought it was a perfect amount. LOL) We will not order this dish next time. Peking Duck - my son and daughter devoured it saying that it was delicious!! (I do not personally eat duck so I'll take their word for it). Chicken, celery & carrot dumplings - these were our absolute favorite!! So much so that we ordered a second serving of them. We discussed the fact that we could not think of another restaurant with chicken dumplings that we liked more. Will we return to Teddy Wong's??? DEFINITELY!!!
