Happy Mother's Day! For me, today was one of those days I wasn't in the mood for anything due to not having my mother to celebrate Mother's Day. After my husband and I got back in, we decided to grab some Chinese food to end our evening.We ordered from the No.1 Chinese restaurant. I had the Shrimp & Broccoli with White Rice, Vegetable Egg Roll and Crab Rangoon.The crab rangoon was so delicious. I love the warm creamy cream cheese! The shrimp and broccoli was in a savory sauce, with rice. Everything was very flavorful. They give you lots of rice! I was full and happy:) My husband ordered White Rice with Sweet and Sour Chicken. He truly loved it! He raved that the rice was not sticky, and the chicken was sweet and juicy. Our meal was great. Customer service was pleasant, and the restaurant was clean. It had lots of boxes inside, but it was functional. Seems more like a pickup spot than a sit down. Nevertheless we enjoyed our meal. We will definitely try more soon. read more

Worst Chinese food I've ever had. My General Tso's chicken had weird chewy bits and some kind of jelly-like substance in it--I had to spit it out. My mom got the egg foo young and said it was disgusting. She actually threw up after we ate. We both felt sick for hours. This place is not safe to eat at. Avoid it. read more

Nothing fancy, but good quality and price. No indoor seating due to COVID and looks like they require you to call ahead to order. No longer accept Amex cards but took visa. I order boneless spareribs and pork fried rice with a side of cream cheese ragoon. I ordered on the phone and it took about 20 mins in total. There is a little old lady who answered, the phone who seemed to be rushing me. I was offended but there is was only 2 people working in there and 5 cars waiting for food, so i understand her rushing me. This place is ok. There was nothing special about the pork fried rice and boneless spare ribs. They were mediocre at best. On the other hand, those fried crab ragoons were amazing. They were fresh. They grease didnt taste like they were fried in old grease, like most resturants. They were bomb, even with the little, very little crab meat they contained. Overall not a bad resturant. read more

I bought some a few days ago at No. 1 Chinese on Garners Ferry Road and it was some of the best I have ever had. They have good food but poor service, the lady that works there lied to us twice, I went there to pick up the food and she told me that I didn't order from them that maybe it was the other restaurant, so I stayed there and ordered the food again and when I got home I had their menu on my table and it turned out that I had the right restaurant, then this evening I ordered food on the phone then when we went to get it she said we ordered it an hour ago and that they threw it away which she's lying, first of all we didn't take an hour and I know damn well they would of kept the food until we got there. So she must of forgot to give the cook the order so she's blaming us. She just lost a good customer. read more

Excellent food, being vegetarian options are limited to me so choosing a restaurant which has good food to our taste is important. We went there for first time but really liked the ' mixed vegetables in garlic sauce ' . It was the best I've eaten. First and last visit here to the not so #1 Chinese Restaurant. First thing you need to do to be a successful in America is learn at least enough English so you can communicate with your customers. I had a headache before I was able to communicate with the guy behind the counter. Thank goodness my finger was not broken .... I was finally able to point to items on the menu. I got House Fried Rice and an egg roll. The foods was heavy on the grease and over cooked. I ate about a third of my meal before giving up and trashing the rest. The sweet tea was bitter. Crab Rangoon is really good. I usually grade restaurants on that. However, the last few times I ordered sweet and sour chicken, it was mostly breading and fat. I will never order it again! They must have changed food suppliers. In fact, chicken at other restaurants have become fatty and heavily breaded too.. It might be a trend. Lo mein isn't as greasy as most of the popular places around Columbia. The sweet and sour chicken is delicious. It's lean, tender chicken with no fatty bits, and the breading is the perfect thickness. The sweet and sour sauce is just thick enough to stick to the chicken but not too thick and gummy.
