So I posted a good review a few years ago. Food is still good but really disappointed on Mothers Day. We went in at 3:00 thinking it wouldn't be busy. It wasn't. Every single table was filled with I'm guessing their lunch crowds dishes. Might be time to hire somebody folks. Looks like it's always been a 2 person operation. He cooks in the back, she handles the floor. I went to the buffet before being seated. No sushi? Nope she says, no time. No rice? "She" had to clean off a table for us to sit at. Look with a 10 dollar tip 85 dollars for "get your food yourself" for 4 seems to be bordering on a high cost. Could have had Mexican down the road being served for the same. read more

This place was not up to par for any of the local Chinese buffets. No. 1 clearly means NOT number 1. The first thing you smell when walking in was a putrid seafood smell, as if their crab had gone bad. Not to mention, the family that was letting their young child reach into the crab as if it was made for him. Let's not forget the lovely waitress. Very kind and she stayed on top of the drinks and clearing our dishes... however, then she decided to get on speaker phone and stand in the middle of the echoing empty room to scream and argue with who ever she was speaking with. BEWARE! THIS PLACE IS TERRIBLE. We stopped by this place thinking it would live up to its name. We were definitely wrong! The NO 1 actually stands for- NO 1 gets sushi, NO 1 gets service, NO 1 gets what they paid for. We waited for sushi and even asked, they kept coming up with excuses and never brought any out. We had to stand up to ask for refills twice. We even had to go and grab our own napkins! Not once did they even stop by, not even to pick up a single plate. The staff was rude and blamed it of staffing shortage. Saddly the guy up front was too busy just looking out the window and watching their 1 server serve the whole place rather than actually helping, smh! They are garbage. Great service. Pleasant atmosphere. The food was really good. It did not make my heart palpitate like most Asian places do. I really enjoyed the string beans. And they did a good job with their teriyaki chicken as well as their crab casserole. (not sure what it's called, but I thoroughly enjoyed it.) For the price it was definitely worth going to. I truly respected and appreciated the work ethic of the server. She was taking care of the entire restaurant on a Sunday after church. Good job. read more

We managed to catch them open one time out of three and the food was absolutely tasteless and the service was totally nonexistent. When we paid the $32 for two buffets without a drink, the woman took our money and didn't even smile or say thank you. Do not believe the hours that are posted all over the Internet because those hours are totally inaccurate. We live 45 minutes away and have driven there on two occasions (one which was a weekday and the other was a Sunday) in the afternoon only to be turned away at the door because they close every afternoon for several hours. This asian buffet seems to be family-run and while smaller than the other buffets in the area the food was good. They have all the American "Panda Express" favorites plus some more traditional dish as well. The fried fish and chicken wings were hot and crispy. The sushi was the right temperature and very tasty. And best of all... they have hand-dipped ice cream. The small staff works hard and is very busy cleaning and keeping the buffet fresh. I highly recommend No1 Buffet. read more

Food was not hot, and cold in some instances. The only thing we got that was hot was the Hot-Tea. Most selections seemed to have been out for a while and needed stirring. There was really nothing I could see that was indicative of the name "No. 1 Buffet" in my opinion. On the other hand, the restaurant was clean and table service was prompt. read more

This place as the potential but the waitress that's also the cashier is rude and disrespectful, we have to wait for napkins and for drinks refill way too long. We asked when they were making more sushi because the sushi bar was empty like always, the waitress responded rudely and we where ready to leave at that moment but we where hungry. Time I walked in and she took us to be seated, the older woman asked that the kids not waste the food.. not hello, welcome, enjoy the food,etc... If you don't have enough food to supply a buffet, it should not be a buffet. Next, I notice they only let a few families in at a time because they don't want to hire help. They turned around 2-3 families while I was there, but let adult only members in instead. They told the family with kids to come back at 4pm which is when dinner starts and costs more. Not right at all. On top of these "rules" there's never any fresh food on the bar. Just dried up and hard meat and rice.. booths are outdated and unclean... walls have sauce and lord know what smeared on. Bathroom was clean though. read more

We are in Jan 2021! I visited No1 Chinese buffet today Jan 02 2021. As of today the business is open that includes all you can eat buffet and dine in. Before it was only to go orders and pick-up. The requirements is you must wear a mask and gloves when approaching the all you can eat buffet to serve yourself. The business provides the gloves but you must wear a musk through out the restaurant. The lunch costs $9.62, a drink $1.79, tax $0.80. Total is $12.21. The food was awesome!!!! Love this place. The food always seemed fresh and staff was always friendly. The tea is delicious. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because there isn't a way to know if the sushi is cooked or raw. I also like the desserts. The ice cream is a great addition to the whole restaurant. Arrived at 1pm to sit down and eat. There was only 2 of us but the lady working at the register said they were closed. Very rude and stern about it and online the business doesn't close until 8pm. Food was mediocre at best. It seems they mix old food with new food on their bar. Some items were overcooked. The things that need refrigerated - salad items, desserts etc tasted/looked like they've been in and out of refrigerator. I didn't taste the sushi wouldn't take the chance. The one lady who seated us, only spoke to ask our drinks and was extremely rude. She stared at our plates each time she passed our table and watched us as we were eating. Then, when we finished, she came by our table and asked me why we left food on the plate - it wasn't much food on the plate just a small amount of beef that tasted strange and had a weird texture so it wasn't eaten. She then proceeded to tell me "don't leave food on your plate, get less food next time". I informed her there would not be a "next time". I'm not sure she didn't take that food back to the kitchen to be put out on the buffet again. For almost $13 per person for lunch not including a drink, this place is not worth it. Aside from the rude service - who would say something like that to a customer? - the quality and safety of the food is questionable and I would not risk getting sick from it. Great buffet. Wish it wasn't so far from us. They rotate the food regularly and it tastes fresh--well as fresh as a buffet can taste. The wings are delicious! You have to try them. The only down fall is they aren't too great about getting you a refill on your drink. read more

No 1 Disappointment Checked out this place with high hopes. Left with a bill higher than what the offerings were worth. The Black Pepper Chicken was not even spicy. This is the worse Chinese Buffet I've ever been to and I go to many Chinese buffets. We got there Sunday at opening time and the food was stale!! Obviously leftover from day before. Tried to choose what looked safe and still had stomachache the next day. First and last time coming here. And it was 25.00 for us two. Total waste of money!! read more

We love going to Chinese buffets because we get to try a lot of different things. Sometimes you're surprised annnnd sometimes you're not. The staff is small but is very friendly, and they're always on the move, which we appreciated. No 1, is pretty average as many of these restaurants are. Reasonably priced for what it is, but we felt like many items on the bar were not very fresh, or replenished, including the sushi bar which was about 98% empty our entire timeframe 630pm-730pm. I'm more of a savory kind of person, I prefer the rangoons, egg rolls, other appetizers; including main dishes to be less on the sweet side (unless you know that's what you're getting into like teriyaki or bbq). One thing I'm not a fan of is the use of ketchup in sauces. Give it a shot, not many restaurants like these around Newnan and Peachtree City area. Truly a first for me and my wife: Everything we tried at this chinese restaurant was excellent! And we tried almost everthing except sushi bar. We were reluctant at first to try this place but sure glad we did. WE WILL BE BACK. Next time we have chinese buffet we will drive the 33 miles one way to experience this food again. For a buffet, they offer a large variety of dishes. The selections are consistent in taste from visit to visit. If you like shrimp dishes, there are several to choose from. The chicken wings and the crab rangoon are great, not so great are the egg rolls. I have never tried the sushi bar, but friends have and like the choices. The lunch time desserts are common for all Chinese restaurants, the fresh fruit is the best choice. The staff is friendly, but not very attentive, you usually have to ask for a drink refill. We have been several times and it is a good choice if you want variety. read more

I was happy to come eat here because it was recommended to me by a couple of acquaintances. It was very clean and organized, the food was what you would expect to see at a Chinese restaurant. The bill came a little higher than expected but okay, we enjoyed ourselves that's not the issue. Our kids did not drink their drinks at all , we did not even request refills as they were no needed. Cups were full!!!! I go to walk out with the styrofoam cup and they stop me because I have to pay to walk out with a drink that I already paid for? Wow okay have a nice day! read more
