Counter service was quick, friendly, and efficient--exactly what you want when you're grabbing something to go. I ordered a small sausage pizza for takeout. It falls into what I'd call classic "football style pizza". Hearty, straightforward, and built to feed a crowd. Not exactly my personal go-to style, but it definitely serves its purpose and will hit the spot for plenty of folks. That said, I'm really intrigued by their Chicago-style menu. Stopped by NK Chicago Pizza as part of the RI Food Fights Lord of the Pies pizza challenge. Ordered a sausage pizza to go and had the Habanero Heaven wings while I waited. These wings were some of my favorites that I tried during the RI Food fights Wing Challenge, so I was excited to try them again. They did not disappoint. Very spicy but also had a great flavor. Often times spicy wings sacrifice flavor for heat, but these wings were a perfect marriage of the two. As for the pizza, they were offering their traditional pizza. It was solid but nothing special. I have had their Chicago pizza before and much prefer that to this style. It had a good flavor but the sausage was crumbled bits. I prefer more substantial pieces. The service was fantastic (as it has been every time I have come in.). They have a full menu and serve beer and wine. I will definitely go back to try other flavors of wings and pick up a Chicago style pie in the near future. read more

Pulling into the lot, it appears to be just like any other small pizza place you find across the state. And the food inside was the same. I came to this place as part of the RI Food Fights event, Lord of the Wings. Inside, the walls have these fantastic colorful murals that reminds the elder millennial in me of Space Jam, but with some other pop culture twists. They do counter service here and have tables so you can sit down. The server was very nice and was attentive during our time there. My friend had already ordered a pizza so I put my wing order in. I got garlic parm this time. The wings were on the smaller side and the skin didn't have a lot of the crisp I look for in a wing. The sauce was nice and they did make sure they wings were evenly covered in sauce, which I appreciated. I had a few slices of my friend's pie and it was a little disappointing. The topping distribution was excellent but I couldn't taste the sauce anywhere. While I loved the amount of pepperoni on the pie, the roni and the kind of cheese they used created a pretty greasy pizza which is not something I prefer. The crust was just...there. Admittedly, it was not the Chicago style pie but the pan pizza so I am curious how their execution of that compares. Overall this place is fine. It has some opportunities for improvement for sure but it's serviceable. If someone invited me here I wouldn't turn them down, but I think I would try the Chicago style pie instead of the pan next time. read more

Finally visited this place for #rifoodfights #lordofthewing tour. Loved the decor in this place. Staff was very friendly and answered any and all questions. Wings were ok, had the buffaque and just seemed like something was missing. Expected little more heat and a darker color. Still was good. The steak bomb sandwich was really good. Great place, we decided to give it a shot for lunch today and were blown away. I ordered a large steak bomb and it was one of the best I've ever had. The bread was toasted but the inside was nice and soft. They definitely use very fresh bread. I also tried the potato skins. These were not frozen, pre done potato skins. They were homemade and delicious. Crunchy on the outside and the inside was like mashed potatoes. They were excellent. I sampled the habanero hot sauce, which was also homemade. It was great, very spicy and hot but really flavorful. One of my co-workers had the chicken parm sandwich and said the sauce was amazing. He asked the staff if it was homemade, and they confirmed it was. My co-workers agreed, were going to add NK Chicago Pizza to our lunch rotation. Went here on a whim. Pizza was a 4 and customer service a 5. Called order in for a gluten free pizza which was very good and mentioned that I was going to be getting regular slices when I got there. They called back and said they wanted to have the slices ready when I arrived and asked what kind I wanted. There's just no good pizza in NK however, NK Chicago pizza has restored my faith in pizza again! Not sure if it's under new ownership or not but pizza is always delicious and way better than I remembered. We've tried a pepperoni, the chicken cordon bleu and the Margarita. All were amazing. I stopped in here on my way to the airport from a business trip. I was looking for something economical and filling. I got a meatball parmesan sub and fries, which was really great. The menu is huge, and I can't speak to the flavor of the other items, but I got exactly what I was looking for. The main reason for the high rating is the friendly guy working the counter. I believe his name was Rick, and he was awesome. The type of guy who has a positive attitude and asks how you're doing and actually listens for your response. My wife ordered a couple pizzas and wings. As far as quality, they were good, however, my wife ordered one of the pizzas - a small deep-dish - as "pineapple". She's a quasi-vegetarian who does not eat red meat and hasn't ordered a Hawaiian pizza in over two decades. It was delivered and she called upon discovering the error of the pizza being a full-Hawaiian and was immediately dismissed as her mistake. Granted, it could have been, but the tone of the conversation was accusatory by the rep on the phone. My wife did hastily hang up but followed up with the pizza in question by driving to the store to speak to them in person. The conversation was not friendly, however, they did offer a replacement pizza/store credit. Their reasoning for the attitude was explained that people do this frequently with them. However, when you have a computerized system and can note and track such situations, this wasn't the situation. If there was a history of this happening with my wife/our address/my family, I would be more understanding.....but this instance, be more professional....swallow some pride. Now I get a lifetime ban from getting a local deep dish because my wife is pissed off. read more
