We hired best budget tree service to take out trees and bushes in our yard. After coming out to…read moregive us a quote, he gave us a price for the bushes and told us he'd dig up the trees we were looking to have removed for free to keep for his own personal use. We agreed and he wrote it down as part of our quote. After being told 3 different times that he would come on a certain day or sometime that week, still we had no one come. The one time he offered to come we said we were out of town, but that they could do it anyways and he responded, "we can do when you're back. We're normally extremely busy but will find an early day open." They had no problem taking out the "paid" part of the job almost immediately, but now after 2 months of waiting for the trees to be removed, Jeremy, the owner, told us to "go buy a shovel I'm not interested in doing it." Therefore, not completing the job that was agreed upon and in writing. Jeremy is extremely unprofessional and unreliable. We were willing to pay for this from the start, which is why we contacted him in the first place. All we wanted was for the trees to be taken out and now Jeremy is sending us text messages saying "I just want to say thanks for the nice review. Do you think I'm a deceptive sales person to get your measly $600 you don't know this but I'm worth about 10 million I was going to help you dig those trees up or cut them off at the base it didn't matter to me this was to help you out for the free service. You're one review won't affect my 400 good ones take care, pal." Super professional from the owner, huh? 0/10 recommend. Go with a more reliable company.

Pre-paid the entire summer and in the end his service was fine but I felt I could get an equal result for less money by doing it myself. There was a subsequent billing disagreement. In trying to calmly resolve the dispute with Jeremy he told me I should "be a man and pay his bill," that I was an "asshole," and that I should "fuck off because he was sending me to collections" and then he hung up on me. In all the call lasted maybe 90 seconds. I wish I recorded it. My credit rating is above 800, as I pay ALL my bills on time; and while I would have comprised with him had he been decent (because I understand how tough being a small business owner is), I certainly would not after this interaction. Unless you want to deal with a petulant man-child, go with another service.

I have had chinch bug problem in my lawn since last year which was destroying our front lawn. I was…read moremisdiagnosing the problem (thinking it was brown patch) all along and nothing seemed to work. Finally, I gave up and called Lawn doctor. Don (the owner) came to look over the lawn and he immediately found out the problem. He patiently explained to me the problem, showing the problem bug and even suggesting a solution. I was pleasantly surprised by his demeanor (very professional, not pushy) and decided to go with him for the application. Based on Don's suggestion, I could have been a prick and done the treatment myself from store purchased insecticides (I couldn't do it!). Don gave me a quote for two applications. I felt the quote was reasonable and justified. After the first application, the crew came to check the results. After checking the grass, (on the scheduled day of second application), I got a call that a second application was not necessary and therefore they hadn't applied it (and of course I wasn't charged for the second application). The company could have easily applied the second application and charged me for the same, and I would have probably paid for it without questioning. But the company didn't do it. It stuck to their morals. I personally felt very happy that such honest and trustworthy companies still exist even today. Now I know who to consult for all of my future lawn care needs and I would strongly recommend and endorse them for anyone looking for a lawn care company. (Note that I don't usually write out online reviews for companies, I only do so when I really feel touched by a companies gesture)
