The prices here are pretty high, which has prevented me from making more purchases over the years. But I do like to come and look around for ideas, and especially scout for deals. There's always a surplus of employees, to be honest there are way too many, which makes the shopping experience a little less enjoyable with a new sales person asking if you're finding everything all right every corner you turn. I plan to come back often whenever I have a large furniture purchase to make. Never realized overtime that you can almost always find a better deal in store than online for the same exact product!

    DO NOT GET FURNITURE DELIVERED…read more Where do I start? It has been a nightmare since I ordered furniture in person at the NFM on 01/21/25. We ordered Ashley branded night stands, a dresser and a chest. They were scheduled to be delivered on Saturday the 24th for garage drop off. They arrived boxed up and boxes were in tact and appeared okay. We opened up the night stands which had no damage. We opened up the chest which had damage. One corner near the legs appeared to have water damage and was bowed out and another corner was cracked, splintered and missing a chunk. We called customer service who said they would bring a replacement on Wednesday the 28th. They also would unbox this one and put that and the unboxed dresser into our home. (The dresser was too heavy for us to move and we underestimated that when we ordered garage drop off). On the 28th, a replacement chest was brought already opened and ready to be used. Only issue was THIS PIECE WAS ALSO DAMAGED. We also opened the dresser and lo and behold, DAMAGED. Same issues with damage to the corner or trim. We were told by the delivery people someone would call us. Hours later no call so I called customer service myself. I had a conversation with a very rude employee named August. He was very full of himself and kept cutting me off and said he is to the point and even said I would thank him later - why should I thank him when he is doing his job and we have had deliveries with damaged furniture TWICE at this point. I tried to cancel and have all pieces picked up but he insisted I go back into the store and pick out another set first. So I did that weekend and I did not find anything else I wanted. I went to the in store customer service who ordered replacements for the chest and dresser. They were delivered on February 4th. The chest had a slight scratch to one of the legs but I wasn't worried about it so I accepted it. The dresser had damage AGAIN. This time, the trim at the back was splintered approximately 3-4 inches. I called customer service again and the employee told me she could not guarantee the furniture was not damaged because she can't determine if it's damaged in warehouse or during delivery. We got a third dresser delivered on the 5th, which finally no damage. I am exhausted, frustrated and disappointed. So many people here in Omaha praise the NFM for their service and quality of products they sell. I can say I do not think I will ever order furniture to be delivered from here again. I am also out near $100 for tips on delivery drivers but I refused to stiff them because they are doing their jobs.

    Recently, we purchased a new desktop computer and a printer from Best Buy. The printer is a HP…read moreSmart Tank 5100 series. The associate provided us with several incorrect details during the purchase process. We were instructed to download the Hp.123.com application for the printer, which charges an annual fee of $59.99. The printer was priced at less than $200. The software indicates that an Instant Ink subscription is available; however, after setting up the printer, this subscription was not accessible for the 5100 series. Contrary to the associate's assurance, the printer does not print in draft mode or grayscale. We are incurring significant costs for ink at regular prices, and it is not possible to purchase only black ink; all colors are required. This situation appears to be deceptive. Relying on staff for accurate information is unacceptable when they provide false details. Additionally, we purchased a Microsoft 365 subscription for $179.00, for which a key code was provided on a printed receipt. I inquired whether Geek Squad could assist with the installation on our computer, with a quoted fee of $40.00. Since the computer was purchased at the same location, we were advised to install the software ourselves at home, with the option to return the computer if issues arose. Our total expenditure for these goods and services amounted to $1,615.54. RUN FROM BEST BUY!!!!!!!

This is exactly why people do no go to stores like this and SHOP ONLINE. I hope Best Buy continues to close stores. I bought a two TV mounts, not knowing which would work. When I tried to return the one I didn't use, they told me I was outside of the 14 day window and would not even offer store credit for something that was completely unopened and even had the receipt. Doug Dushan gave me a tour of the facilities and explained their capabilities and was eager to answer all of my questions. Their showroom is basically a mock up of what I'd imagine Tom Brady's house looks like. TVs everywhere. Speakers stealthily installed behind walls and in the ceiling. It was incredible. And then there's the home theater. Oh my god the theater! It's a 14 seat home theater that is straight out of Best of MTV Cribs (remember that show? With Master P living like a king?) He let me pick a few scenes of movies to get a vibe for what they can do, and needless to say, I was amazed. Their engineering appeared to be top notch. Doug took me back to where they would build and test my media server and the accompanying electronics before they would be installed in my home. I really appreciate this attention to detail. Most home theater outfits do much of the install at my home. Echo Systems does all of the pre-install work at their site so all the troubleshooting can be done there before it gets put in. Doug was very knowledgeable, friendly, and patient with my tsunami of questions. I'm sure I'll be using Echo Systems for my home video needs in the future.

I cannot say enough about his attention to detail, his quickness in always getting back to me and his overall good nature of working with a non-tech person like me, making sure I understand all that was being done at the time. Tim, the tech person I also have worked with is another great guy who is always professional and patient with me--ready to give me his valued opinion on all the myriad questions I shoot at him. Recently I worked with Reed and was once again was not disappointed in his helpful explanations. They always offer excellent product selection to fit any budget. If you want the ultimate, they have it. If you want an affordable basic music system, they have it.
