Bold Flavors & Lively Atmosphere at The Exchange - Derry, Ireland/UK…read more **If you love spicy food, you'll be thrilled. If not, ask your server for a gentler option... the kitchen doesn't hold back!!!** We had a fantastic dinner at The Exchange. The starters; Mediterranean olives, bruschetta, and garlic breads, were fresh and flavorful. For mains, the Exchange Burger and chilli fillet steak in pitta bread brought serious heat. Desserts were indulgent: the double chocolate brownie was rich and satisfying, and the sticky toffee pudding had a perfect melt-in-your-mouth finish. Heads-up: The place gets lively and a bit loud in the evenings, so if you're after a quiet meal, consider dining earlier. Otherwise, it's a vibrant spot with bold flavors and great service.

We dined in the Boathouse, Disney Springs, Orlando two weeks ago but this wonderful place beats it…read morehands down by a very long way in terms of the charming service, and, very importantly, the quality and flavour of the food on our plates. Only the climate and setting were better in dismal Disney. This place was buzzing on a Monday night - just as busy as the Boathouse was on a Saturday night - oh enough about bloody awful money - grabbing Disney. I had a fillet steak with tobacco onions, champ & pepper sauce (£15.75). I asked for the steak medium cooked but it was nearer to rare and that didn't bother me a jot. The flavour of the steak was wonderful. The champ could have been warmer, the tobacco onions were just perfection and the pepper sauce moreish. My wife opted for chicken fajitas (£12.75) - the portion was generous and she said the all important 'smokey' sauce was delicious. There were three flour tortillas together with mini pots of guacamole and sour cream. The mashed guacamole was slightly underripe, which we prefer, the only suggestion here is when using underripe avocado add a very generous amount of fresh lime juice. I had a good cappuccino (£2.5) and my wife a generous glass of Sauvignon blanc (£6.15). The home-made desserts really looked inviting, but I'm afraid whilst the spirit was more than willing the flesh simply couldn't cope. In short bloody good place.

We tried to come in the night before but the place was booked solid so we got takeout and called…read moreto make a reservation for the following evening. We arrived a little early and were asked to wait while they prepared our table. We waited at some high tops next to the bar which were very clean and comfortable. The bar itself is very warmly lit and seems quietly intimate. Great place for a date though, in this case, we had our kids with us. Over all, the food and the service were excellent. The menu had a wide selection that would likely suit anyone's needs. We had a variety of food but I would say the stand out were the buffalo wings. As an American I can be fairly particular about my wings and I would put these up against most that I've had at home. Really, the only concern that I had was that about a half hour into dinner a group of rowdy girls were seated next to us. They were obviously out for a night on the town and I don't know that I would have sat them next to a family with small children... But again, I'm not sure that it could've been avoided. Overall one of the best dining experiences we had while in Northern Ireland and I would highly recommend it to anybody. As we visit often we will definitely be back!

I liked my goat cheese and beet salad and the baby liked the chicken strips and chips we ordered…read moreoff the kid's menu. We had the chocolate cake and crème brûlée for dessert. Both were good but the raspberry sorbet that came with the crème brûlée was the star of the show. The staff was very friendly and kind. They all high fived the baby on our way out. Would go again!
