This was our first time getting a pizza here and I was hoping for a good experience. The young lady asked me to let others know if we enjoyed it. First thing I want to say is that the only reason that they got 4 stars instead of 5 is because they leave way too much crust exposed with no sauce on it. Had they did a better job there, it would be 5 stars all day long. The sauce is excellent and they are generous with that and all the toppings. Service was quick and we will be back. I will make sure that I mentioned the crust being covered better when I order next time. Hopefully we will get this to 5 stars. read more

Ninos has been a mainstay in Callao for years. It is a typical family Italian restaurant with standard menu. Nothing really special, but certainly not bad. I would say that given the choices in the area, I hope that Ninos sticks around. There really isn't much else in the area. I don't think that this place would survive in a larger market, but the food is good, the place is clean, and the service is ok. read more

Nino's white pizza is fantastic - garlicky without being overpowering. A unique, almost flaky dough. Order more than you'll eat at one meal because there's nothing quite like Nino's leftover pizza reheated at home on a pizza stone, in a toaster over, or just cold - right out of the fridge. Crispy mozzarella sticks without being greasy or too heavy - and a tasty, chunky marinara sauce with a hint of sweetness. Tried the "Tour of Sicily" entree with cheese ravioli, lasagna, meat and cheese cannelloni. All were solid choices except the meat cannelloni with spinach. Think the spinach would have been better in the cheese cannelloni version instead. Overall - a tasty and reasonably priced pizzeria in an unexpected corner of the Northern Neck. Perhaps the best compliment: Nino's is now on the favorite contacts list on the iPhone. read more

I ordered a large supreme pizza. I got a large box dripping through with grease. The grease get on your fingers just carrying the box. The pizza was soggy, limp and saturated in grease. Food was ok, but I also did not have pizza, and it is a pizza place after all. The place is doing curbside only due to the pandemic, and was fairly busy. There were about 10 cars in the lot waiting on their food. Totally fine, I have nothing better to do! However, the staff was so rude. I completely understand being overwhelmed since this situation is undoubtedly a first, but the hostility was definitely unnecessary. I won't be back due to that. read more

If you want your customers to come back don't interrupt them while they are speaking and get short with them or your staff in front of them. Before the smoke damage we ate here frequently now however a different story. Today we came in at 12:45, we were seated and then they forgot about us. The best small-town pizza place in the WORLD! I grew up on this pizza and no other pizza will ever compare! My mom even worked here growing up! And the owner, Nino, is the most down to earth soul you'll ever meet! Nino's has a special place in my heart! The pizza taste was very good, but the bottom of the crust had way too much flour. The flour got stuck on your tongue and in your throat.

I've mentioned in other reviews of NNK-area pizza joints that the one thing you can expect to find in pretty much count on in every decent-sized town in the area is a pizza joint. For Callao, the spot is Nino's Pizza. And like most of the other pizza joints, Nino's is a family-run operation that has been serving the NNK for what seems like forever. I've had Nino's dozens of times in my life, dating back to my days in high school. On my Thanksgiving vacation with my family, we decided to pick up Nino's for carryout on Friday night. My mom put in an order for a large pizza, a large stromboli, and a large side salad. They estimated 30 minutes for pick-up, which was fine because it's a roughly 25 minute drive from my parents' house to Nino's anyway. (Yes, I grew up in the sticks) The pizza here is very good - it's a classic New York style pizza with a decent crust. The stromboli here is HUGE - they don't pass off a slightly bigger calzone as a "stromboli" like other places do. Their stromboli is nearly the size of a full pizza and is cut into several long strip-like pieces. The remainder of their menu is much like any other local pizza joint in the NNK. They offer a full range of subs, including a Canadian Bacon sub, a staple food of my youth that I can only seem to find in the NNK area. They also offer a full set of Italian entrees, and a few American favorites as well because, well, this is Callao. The interior fits the geography - it's nothing to get excited about, but it's about what you would expect from a NNK pizza joint. Doing takeout is probably the best way to go here unless you are a local. read more

This is some of my favorite pizza and I crave it now and then since I've moved back to Ohio. Nino's offer a New York style type of crust. This is the kind of crust that I don't mind eating all the way down to the end. Very large pizza with delicious cheese. Since San Remo's is no longer in existence then this is most definitely the runner up in the area in my opinion. read more

This is the second time I've had Ninos Pizza & Italian restaurant, Italian sub, for the value it is a pretty good sub, I also ordered their garlic knots on a scale of 1 to 5, they are a 2, but on the other hand their marinara sauce is one of the best I have ever tasted, I give ttheir sauce. a five-star , very tasteful and not your typical marinara sauce that comes out of a can, I have not tried there pizza yet, but since I am in Virginia for another 11 days , I will have to give their Pizza a try, since I am from North Carolina and my Italian restaurant there has one of the best tasting Pizzas,I'm sorry I did not take any pictures of my sub ,if your in the area of calleo.va ,you need too look them up ,when you order they will bring it too your car after you call them and tell them your there,I received my order in the pouring rain ,we felt so sorry for the young lady ,we left her a big tip. read more

This is a great place to get pizza and subs. I go here at least once a week. There is only one thing that I have an issue with. The service is not the best. Nino's wife Jennifer waits on everybody there and she can't handle it. A few months ago I went in there for a job and I never got a call back and they said that they were hiring. Another thing about Jennifer.......SHE TAKES THE DONATION MONEY there is a jar for donations to someone who is injured or needs help paying for medical bills and there is a video of her taking money out of the jar. We ordered a pizza margherita and it was horrible. Dry, boring, tasteless, just a total letdown. We will not be ordering from them again.

First the food.. when you do get it, is amazing.Their interpretation of lasagna was fantastic. The marinara sauce is so good and saucy. B However the wait staff and management are seriously lacking at this establishment. It was a beautifully unorganized display of idiocy and poor timing. Service has constantly gone down over the years but today is the worst yet. We placed an order to be picked up at 3:10pm and was told it would be 20 minutes. We arrive to pick up our order and have to stand in line for over 10 minutes while employees wander around and the owners wife is standing around drinking water. I finally get to the counter and get told that they have not started our order yet and that I would have to wait. I told them to cancel and that I wouldn't be back. The food is decent as it is the only pizza place in town but the service is definitely lacking. read more

Great pizza and service is good, but the parking lot is terrible. There is no designated parking and no handicap spaces, and sometimes there are rows of 3 cars deep pinning in the middle car. People block exits when they park to pick up their orders. read more

Average pizza. Nothing super special but it's good. Haven't had anything else on the menu but have heard from others that the food isn't good. One lady ordered lasagna and it didn't have noodles, sent it back and had one little piece of a lasagna noodle. It's close to home so that's why a lot of people go. read more

I wanted a steak I said why not try ninos, I mean who can mess up a steak? 1st it said it was a ribeye it's clearly not, then it was the driest toughest steak I've ever had in my life. the salad the came with it was just as pitiful. as it was my fault I should have known better seeing as how everything else I've tried on the menu has been dull and very mediocre. next time jus go to the Mexican restaurant their food is great and reasonable read more

I am giving it a one because I tried to go there 45 min till closingon a Friday night and I was refused service. Whatever happened to a customer service .
