The food was amazing and it's the book textbook of don't judge a book by its cover. As even though you don't see a lot of decoration or anything, it's a great place to eat. It's unfortunate that it can't sit many people as the food was a 10/10, best American-Chinese food I've had. It's really worth ordering food from there even if it takes a little bit for the food to come out, but that's because everything is homemade. It's family owned and run, the family is really nice and the service itself is great. I hope it will rise in popularity as it's a great place to get food. Not very impressed at all. The restaurant inside looked a little dirty with a few kids and toys on the floor as well, the staff didn't seem very welcoming. I ordered some Chinese food to go, flavor was blah, meat was a little undercooked and chewy, fried rice was bland. I walked in on a Friday about an hour before close. The place was empty & somewhat dirty. Three employees continued to ignore me & continue a conversation in their language. Ordered my food online, didn't realize they're far from my work, I called asked if they could put my food in fridge bc it's sushi. She said they would, but, when I got there the food was sitting out still and warm to the touch. I asked, " did you put this in the fridge?" Oh yes yes, still good. She said, I said okay. Started eating it and it was room temperature, I could see the cream cheese how it looks when it's been left out, it was over 2 hours! A hibachi , chinese and sushi combination restaurant. It doesn't have nice decoration and the atmosphere is not really good but they do have the best sushi in Lincoln! My favorite dishes are sushi cake and ninja special salad! Ninja special salad has shrimp, crab meat, cucumber, seaweed salad and avocado on top! It is crispy and sweet! I can see eel and salmon on top of sushi cake and spicy tuna in between. First time eating cake made by rice and fish, it is definitely worth a try! read more

We picked up carryout from Ninja last night. The crab rangoon was sweet. (I prefer savory, and I get it: It's not all about me ... ha!) The egg rolls were good. The Golden California was covered in a very heavy batter and deep-fried. I like the idea of deep-frying pretty much anything, but if you do this, the batter has to be SPOT ON, and this batter missed the mark. It was cooked all the way through, but it was super thick and spongy. It was also very fishy tasting. I realized it has seafood in it, but I'm used to a milder flavor. I think that the strong flavor came from the seaweed. The miso soup had a decent flavor but was more on the bland side. read more

It's not the fact that restaurant doubles as a day care for their employees nor is it because they refuse to have pork, bean sprouts, or snow peas. It is because the Asian or Chinese customers get a much better choice of soup or any other dish. I'm told no it's not on the menu or it's only for Asians. UNIMPRESSIVE. Typical, strip mall chinese food with a variety of sushi options, however their is not quality and not very tasty. Moreover, they are overpriced, the place has a take out chinese place feel to it and is usually filled with kids from the school across the street after school. This is just for the sushi. While the location could be better (in a tiny strip mall next to a gas station across a high school), I love great sushi lunch specials. 2 rolls for $8, 3 rolls for $12? I'm there! Lunch special even includes soup or salad. I can't vouch for any of their specialty sushi, but sometimes, you just want spicy tuna roll or eel avocado roll, you know? This restaurant has opened in the location where Quality Chef used to be and retains much of the same atmosphere. It's simple, clean, and has a welcoming feel. The menu is extensive and contains a mix of standard Chinese dishes, hibachi, sushi, sashimi, tempura, teriyaki, etc. No MSG is used according to the menu. Prices seem to average out around $10, give or take a couple dollars. Some are more and some are less, especially the selection of Chinese dishes available as a lunch special ($6 with an egg roll and drink). So even though I listed them in the lowest price category, depending on what a person orders, it could also qualify for the moderate price range. The menu also contains a couple coupons for 10%-15% off lunch and dinner specials. I tried the steak hibachi lunch special for $10 and received a balanced portion of lightly seasoned steak, cooked vegetables, a couple fruit slices, rice, and a small, simple salad. The quality was good and everything very tasty, including the dressing for the salad. The portions were well balanced and it ended up being a filling lunch. I'll definitely be coming back to try other things, including the seafood. The idea of maintaining the standard Chinese dishes while adding variety in the form of hibachi and sushi is a good one. I generally hesitate when a restaurant attempts to do such a large variety, but if the steak hibachi I had was any indication, there's no reason for further hesitation. read more

I've been to Ninja a couple times. It has been delicious every time. The sushi chef is excellent at giving suggestions and allowed for a taste test since I had never had sushi before. The crab rangoon is smaller than other places, but is sweet and balanced. The typical Chinese fast food is also delicious and served with a perfect amount of rice. I have eaten here several times. The location is convenient from my office and delivery is also nice. They do give you a lot of food and it's okay in a pinch, but it's all on the bland side. Their fish is fresh, but tends to be mushy and flavorless. The Chinese food is American-Chinese. I eat here more often than I care to admit, even though I'm a little disappointed every time. I ordered 3 sushi rolls. Food was ok, but overall it was pretty bland. My main complaint is that I ordered take out to be picked up an hour before the restaurant closed. It was a slow night and when I showed up all 4 employees were sitting at a table eating. One of them got up and rushed to the sushi preparation area. I've ordered delivery from NINJA several times and I am usually quite satisfied with the service and quality of the food. However, I was quite disappointed this round as my food arrived 15-20mins later than the given time (40-45mins). I was willing to let it slide however the delivery person who called to inform me that my food had arrived was a grouch and when I went to collect my food he asked me for a tip because "it is his source of income". Now usually I don't mind tipping if I get good service however not only did my food arrive late but I was treated quite rudely. Feeling that the guy would not let this go I just wrote a $2 tip on the receipt and took my food and left. I usually don't complain about trivial matters as these however I feel that NINJA needs to be aware of this so that they can improve their customer service especially the delivery service. read more

This place is always good. I suggest calling ahead if picking up in person or just having it delivered because the delivery is very affordable. I usually don't go for the fancy house rolls. Usually they're so full of everything that I regret my order halfway through and wish I'd just order something more simple. Ninja is now my exception to that rule. The ninja sushi cake was amazing. Flavorful, savory and unique, with a great mix of ingredients that actually complimented each other. The Cali roll wasn't bad either. And while the store itself isn't fancy, it is clean and the service is good. Plus, it was super cheap. The only reason that its not a 5 is because the avocado was pretty brown. Not too old or anything, but not at the level of quality that Hiro has. We get carry out at this place pretty frequently. We are new to the area and it makes your tummy smile. I am not giving it a five star restaurant just because it is not the best of the best I have had. But it is the best I have had in Lincoln so far. It's consistently good. The lunch prices are good but the dinner prices are kind of high. They do give good portions too! We have had their Mongolian barbecue and lo mein. Both pretty tasty. Ordered almost $60.00 worth of sushi (not counting the nearly $14.00 tip.) Ordering rolls online gives you ONLY TWO OPTIONS: MAKI (rolled in Nori/seaweed,on outside) or HAND (also rolled in seaweed, in the shape of a cone, also on the outside.) I wanted Uramaki rolls (RICE on the outside, as is more common in the U.S. than Japan.) They sent me hand rolled. And it was well over an hour wait and I live about 1 mile away, after ordering on a Sunday afternoon at 2pm. I was not happy, and tried to talk to management, but we were going around in circles---he couldn't understand me and I couldn't understand him. I've never had this issue with Dozo, Blue, Hiro 88, Kinja, etc. Too bad, because prices and the delivery fee are more than reasonable (depending on where you live.) Basically, I was told me that I needed to re-order and pay again. No way---I ended up placing a second order with Dozo, who had it delivered in 30 minutes, and surprise! The order was correct! Ninja needs someone to look at their online order form and give an option for an inside out sushi roll. Never again from this place. Too bad---we order and eat a lot of sushi. Amazing sushi! I popped in to grab a couple rolls for dinner takeout following my "nearest sushi" list on my phone's navigation and boy was I impressed. The fish was beautiful, extremely fresh, and the extra touches were all there (extra umami, quality ginger and wasabi). I would say even better than Kona Grill in Omaha which is my standing favorite.
