I came in and the place was dead just like the clock they had on the wall. He had one customer, this Hispanic boy about 7 years old with his mom, and a teenage girl who I assumed was his sister. He told me it would be about 30 minutes for it to get done, so I told him I would be back. When I returned, he was still cutting this boy's hair. I waited another 15 minutes, and when he finally finished. It took him another 5 minutes to get ready because he wanted to take pictures of his client's haircut. I asked him why there's a need for this, and he replied that he was trying to promote this barbershop. He said he was a barber student, and he wanted to take pictures of his work. Hmm... No wonder all the barbers that used to cut my hair weren't there. I didn't think much of it until the Hispanic family had to pay. He charged them the adult fee of $25. The mom was so surprised, so I said something. I don't like seeing people get taken advantage of. I told him that the sign stated that kids haircut and senior cuts are $20. Why was he bumping the price to $25? He then said the sign is incorrect. I told him that they need to change the sign because it's false advertising! He then said that he's only been there a week, and it's under newly appointed management. I said the new business is off to a rough start then! He's making up prices, and that would turn off potential customers. He then added that the haircut was normally $35 because it's special. I was like what? You're a barber student, and you're going to charge $35? What's so special about this place, and his work? It's not even fancy! No hot towel service, No frills. Plus the new place can't even get it together and replace the dead battery clock on the wall. To top it all off, he continued to text on his phone while talking to me. I decided not to get a haircut there. Not only did he wasted my time, but he also provided poor customer service. Come here at your own risk! *** Also I'm not one of those reviewers that like to write bad reviews. I want small businesses to succeed, but when there's a problem. Management needs to take note and address the issue or they won't succeed. ***

The first person he went to was Dominique/Unique and she was great with him. She shared instructions on how to keep his hair neat and how to take care to keep them clean. My brother wasnt so good at following those instructions lol so we move ahead to get them cut off. The 2nd time around he wasn't there and I went and asked for a haircut it's as if the guys were annoyed that I was a walk in and very annoyed that they had to cut my hair. After talking amongst themselves which really made me feel like something was wrong with me or something. The boy that I finally got was absolutely not it for me! He kept having the other guys come around him they were talking and laughing and while he kept doing that it felt as if he kept cutting me with the razor. He kept asking where a certain clippers or a razor was at and for some reason it would make the other guys around him laugh. This absolutely made me feel as if they were intentionally trying to mess up my haircut and laughing at me or laughing at him making mistakes idk but you can tell something was off. Anytime I would speak after a question I would get cut off with a "Oh-ok". Sure enough when I left that chair one side was fuzzier than the other, I had red razor marks and above all my cut was uneven all around. I've never felt more embarrassed to walk back out just to be laughed at which again was what they were doing as I had my back turned walking out, and then having to go into work like that. I'm normally not someone to say anything but this was absolutely unacceptable and beyond unprofessional.
