    Chicken supreme
    Caitlin J.

I ordered take out from here recently and it was amazing. The chicken supreme which is stuffed with lobster roasted red peppers and cheese was amazing. The chicken was cooked perfectly and the lobster went so well with all the other flavours. The pesto cream sauce was so good I wanted more to pour over everything! The roasted potato and vegetables were cooked to perfection! Even during covid and doing take out this restaurant really did an amazing job!

    Seafood Linguine

The Hungry Gills hit this place up for my brother's birthday, and it was a hit. Here is what we ordered Karn (me): 1) Erdinger Weissbräu (Beer) 2) Seafood Linguine Neetu: 1) Mushroom Ravioli Dessert: 1) Chocolate Overload The beer selection was good, and Karn was actually quite surprised they even had an Erdinger brand beer. They also have beers specially available during different periods of the year (fall/winter beers). Thumbs up to that! Seafood Linguine This dish contains: cherry tomatoes, shrimp & mussels in a tomato lobster broth. The dish itself contained about 4 shrimps and 5 mussels. The shrimp was a good size and had some flavour to it. The mussels, had like almost ZERO meat in it. Karn actually started laughing when he opened one up, shocked to see the little pebble of meat. The linguine was cooked just right, and the tomato lobster broth was a delicious sauce to have with it. Loved the cherry tomatoes! But when isn't cherry tomatoes great? Mushroom Ravioli This dish contains: Ravioli pasta stuffed with portobello and cremini mushrooms, all in a pesto cream sauce, with some parmesan and basil. This was really tasty! The only complaints we can think of is the amount of oil in the sauce and the portion was a bit smaller than we would've liked it. Other than that, this dish is a hit. Chocolate Overload This dish contains: Pecan brownie with chocolate ganache wrapped & baked in filo pastry served with chocolate ice cream on top. Delicious! Delicious! Delicious!!!! Did we say delicious? This is a must get if you come to Nine18. Our top 5 desserts of all time. If you love chocolate, you will die for this dessert, you will wake up in the middle of the night thinking if it was true, did the dessert really exist? or was it all a dream? GET IT! a patio with a view of a golf course

It is a clubhouse restaurant locating inside the Turnberry Golf Club. The restaurant is very spacious. It has a very nice view overlooking the golf course on one side of the windows. The fireplace makes this place feeling cozy and it is also practical for the colder weather. I was all warmed up by sitting near the fireplace after golfing at a temperature of only 12c. There is a smaller open-air/covered patio area facing another side of the golf course and the landscaped garden terrace and tent. The washroom is clean and spacious and best of all, it provides hand lotion:) This restaurant opens from Mondays to Sundays from 11am to 11pm. There are good selection beers on tap; good deal on daily specials; as well as good and friendly service. The $3 each fish taco on Friday is an awesome deal and it is yummmmmy! Although this place is a bit far from my area, I don't mind come back again at all!

    Seafood Linguini

Went here with the family for my mom's Birthday celebrations. We enjoyed the Corned Beef Sandwich with Tomato Basil Soup, Mediterranean Penne Pasta and I had the Seafood Linguini. We finished the meal off with Nine18's rich and delicious cheesecake. I can speak for the Seafood Linguini and say that it came with plenty of calamari, shrimp and muscles which were all delicious in a light tomato sauce. Nothing unexpected but pleasantly delicious. The atmosphere was relaxing and there was a nice view from the patio out on to the golf course. The service was standard and the overall restaurant wasn't too full which made for a good place for conversation. I would visit here again with friends but not if I was in the mood to be adventurous as there is good selection but quite conservative.

    Patio

Visited here in the summer and got a chance to sit on the patio which was fantastic. Such a great view on the patio. You can either sit in the partially enclosed patio area or fully outside. Both offer great views though. Food was good but service was a bit slow. Our waiter disappeared many times throughout our visit. Ordered the chicken supreme which is chicken stuffed with lobster and cheese in a creamy sauce, so delicious!

Nice patio looking at the gold course view. The server was really nice and so was the girl standing at the front door. I had asked the server to bring a piece of cake after we ate for my bfs dinner and they did (it was on the house!). The food was decent. I highly recommend the nachos with guac!

Delicious food, great atmosphere. Sitting on the patio was gorgeous as the sun sets. Very reasonable priced apps and portions are good. Probably one of the best meals I've had in awhile even though my friend and I shared 4 apps !

    Amazing view!

Turnberry Golf Club - Pond and greenery

Most of the older…read morenegative reviews seem to be about the restaurant, but the golf course here is surprisingly fantastic. It's a beautiful public par 3 course that offers quite a challenge. With narrow fairways, hazards like fescues, ponds, and bunkers, along with undulated greens, it's a lot of fun. We played with another pair of golfers, and the pace was smooth with minimal backup between holes. I usually tee off from the shortest tee box, but this time we all decided to play the white box (~3000 yards) to save time and also to allow it to count towards my handicap on my app. Let me tell you, it was a challenge. Some holes are not forgiving at all. I lost a few balls, but also found many lost ones, so it was a win-win in the end! There's a couple a holes where there is a shared green between two holes, which was the first I've experienced. Despite the trek to Brampton, it's easy to secure a tee time here, making it a fun and accessible choice for a round of golf. For time reference the group of 4 of us played on a Sunday at 12:40pm all from the white tee box, all walked it and finished the round by 5:09pm so about 4.5 hrs. They also have a nice driving range and green area to practice ahead of your game. The course is also nicely maintained and it was a beautiful day when we went. However, stepping on the fairway I do notice it being soft on some parts so I can only imagine it might be kinda messy and muddy if you end up playing in the rain. We found a green fee special for $50 on Golf Now, otherwise I think it's normally $60 on the weekend. A bit pricey but it is a nice golf course that'll I'll enjoy playing again.

For those golfers who want to hit their drivers more, this course might not be their cup of tea. I was not impressed by this place at first seeing a narrow pathway accessing the first-tee, and returning from the last hole. Golfers and golf carts were stuck at the pathway. However, after playing through first few holes, I found this course was pretty fun to play at. This course opens only for a few years and it is very well maintained. If I remember correctly, the green on the 13th hole is the most challenging one I have ever seen (see photos). For my level, I still got several chance to hit my driver. It is for sure a good golf course to practice our irons though. The regular green fee ranges from $34 (weekdays) to $44 (weekends and holidays) The clubhouse restaurant at this place is one of the best with good facilities, service, food and view.

Otherwise, this would've been an amazing day. The golf course has many practice areas available that some public access courses don't always offer, like driving range, putting green and chipping area--even a small bucket of relatively clean soapy water to dip and clean your clubs after. A few par 4's to keep the intermediate players interested and not too many obstacles that intimidate noobs like me. There are different wings, north, east, west, each with 9 holes. They will assign you the order you play in if you play all 18. We were paired with a retired couple, and they were sweet and cheered me on when I made some good plays. I'm sure there are better maintained courses out there but it was pretty good for a noob like me that usually plays on smaller public courses. Greens were relatively smooth and the rough isn't too tall that I can't find the ball afterwards. The clubhouse has indoor seating available and serves basic breakfast food, quick bites and refreshments. I appreciate the Haagen Dazs and canned iced Starbucks coffee at the end of my game during a hot day. Strolling inside the clubhouse the vicinity looks clean; Though I rather enjoy my refreshments outside on an umbrella-shaded patio.

There were not very many houses around the course either. Since that time I played the Academy 9-hole course a number of times. I liked the Academy because it was very challenging for a short course. If you miss the fairway, there was a very high chance that you would lose your ball in the rough and/or fescue. The fescue is baaaaad. Don't even bother trying to hit out of it. I finally decided to try out the 18-hole course after years of procrastinating. I played on a Sunday afternoon at 3:01 pm (twilight starts at 3 pm, and super twilight at 5:30 pm). For $65 you get a cart for your 18 holes. I highly recommend getting a cart. There are a lot of hills and you won't enjoy your round if you had to carry your bag. Both the 9- and 18-hole courses are very well maintained. There are some tough spots (we played after it rained) and the bunkers can be brutal. We took free drops instead of playing out of the bunkers, especially after rain. Also a couple of the holes had very strange layouts. There were two greens that were absolutely hidden and nearly impossible to aim for unless you had played it before. Thankfully all the carts are fitted with GPS devices so you know how far you are from the green. The staff and marshalls were all very polite and kind. We had a slow group but the marshall tried her best to keep everyone moving. Their service really stood out to me. I would definitely play Braeben again. For $65 and the convenience of the course's location, I think it's a great value. You might have a tough time if you're a beginner because of the fescue and tight fairways, but there are some easy par 3s and straight 4s to keep you going.
