a sign for nine state brewery

Cool brewery in Inverness Florida. We stopped here on the way back to Tampa as there weren't too many breweries on the trip back and wanted to try something new. The name Nine state comes from the owners bring from up north and lived in nine different states before settling in Florida and opening the brewery. It has a really nice tasting room and bar area and a few tables outside. Overall the beer was pretty good. I had a flight of a peanut butter stout and three IPAs. My favorite beer here was the spicy IPA. It had good flavor with a bit of a bite. They do serve food here and that was one of the highlights. We had the steamed pork dumplings. They were delicious and you could tell they were freshly made. They also have Udon noodle bowl, bulgogi bowl, hot dog and pretzel bites. They also have different food specials, live music and events. They are only open Friday through Sunday. Staff was very friendly and helpful in choosing our beers.

I was so excited to hear that Inverness got a brewery! Inside is a decent sized space with the brewhouse visible. They had about eight beers on tap as well as sangria on tap. I opted for the peanut butter stout and one of the IPAs. My sister got the pilsner and my mom got sangria. All of our beverages were good, the pilsner was crisp and clean, the sangria was sweet and bubbly with good flavor and my IPA and stout had good flavor too. They have a small menu which is Asian inspired but they also have hot dogs and big pretzels if you aren't an Asian food fan. They're only open a few days a week so it took me a while to get there but I'm happy I finally made it in!

One word: INCREDIBLE. I never expected to go to a brewery and have an incredible time! I do visit many breweries and so far this one was the best. LOCATION: Perfect and plenty of parking ATMOSPHERE: Gorgeous interior, plenty of sitting area, family feel, but a fun one at the same time. The place smelled good and was very clean. SERVICE: Outstanding, professional, quick, attentive and most importantly friendly. I felt like I was welcomed in some ones home. I even had an honor to interact with a friendly owner, who was hands on and managed to ver see everything, making sure that every one was happy. FOOD: quality, fresh and not expensive DRINKS: Very unique, favorable and definitely well priced. There was a large selection of perfect brews. What really shocked me is that I stumbled upon the Ginger House Competition even right before the Christmas, where I was given a Ginger House to decorate. Although, I did not win the competition, I was given a Ginger House to eat! Then there was a Santa and a very Good Live music band. The over all event was so well organized and fun and I want to make this place a definite REPEAT! The drive was very far for me, but sure it was worth to drive

Sampled these & the pumpkin won me over.

When we first looked for breweries in the area, we saw this one that advertised beer and Korean food. We were a little unsure, but after stopping in for some afternoon, beers and speaking with the owners mother who is the cook we were not disappointed. The food was fantastic!! This brewery has won multiple awards for their pumpkin beer and even though pumpkin beer is one of my least favorite beers ever I decided to try it. I was shocked, it was amazing! They won me over & I even took a four pack home.

We stopped by before dinner for a few beers and were pleasantly surprised. The beer was very smooth and delicious. Staff was friendly and helpful with beers. There is a small appetizer menu. Good place to relax and try some quality beer . My wife liked the cream cicle wheat. I enjoyed both ipa beers.

My husband and I visited on a slower, rainy night while visiting the area. The brewery is situated in the downtown Inverness area with plenty of street parking. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. The interior is spacious and they have a variety of beers on draft--from lagers, to Blondes, to IPAs, to stouts, etc. The owner was very friendly and offered for us to try beers before we ordered a larger size. My favorite beer was the Mirror Panel New England Style IPA. All around great brewery to visit when you're in the area. We will return!

Family owned and operated. The owners Mom welcomed us as if we were long lost friends and we had never been there before. We watched her welcome others back who frequented often. In fact we liked it so much my wife bought a t-shirt and this 5th generation Floridian never does. We loved the beer and the dumplings. The onion rings were good too. Just a neat place to relax and enjoy some amazing fresh brewed beer. This brew master is simply a genius. My wife loved her marshmallow beer and the spicy Pilsner. Just a wow factor. Great people! Great products.

Nine State gets better with each visit. They've switched up seating and glasses and the owners are awesome and friendly. Even during the Corona virus they kept busy filling up growlers and working on their interior to make it even more welcoming. If you are in the area, please stop by, grab a beer or a Growler and enjoy. They have several different styles of beer on tap, you cant go wrong! The CCS and Wit's Good are faves.

Damn. Good. Beer. Family owned business. So glad we stopped. I could not find a beer that I did not like. Stop in to see "The Mudds" Blues Band on Sundays at 2 pm! Those Korean Dumplings ROCK!

Wits Good and the best Sangria ever!

Nine State has been the perfect addition to our little town! My husband and I had been hoping for a brewery to open up close by and once we were found out about Nine State we were counting down the days. Our first visit was amazing with incredibly friendly service and delicious drinks (my husband is a beer drinker but I like wine, so the Sangria is always my go-to because it is so tasty)! We have gone three more times since then and every visit is just as pleasant as the first. The family who opened Nine State genuinely cares about their customers and the community of Inverness and we are so happy to have such a nice atmosphere to hang out in during the weekends!

Tidal might have my favorite beers of any of them. I've become one of those IPA people over the years, and they're great with those, from West Coast to Hazy--but they're also solid with other styles, and seem to be particularly good with British styles, from ESBs to "mild" ales. The service there's always been fast and friendly, and I like the place's atmosphere in general: it's rarely too loud but it's still lively, making it good for both sitting down with a beer to do some writing and for chatting up people on the admittedly rare times I'm being chatty. While there's little food within walking distance--a problem with virtually any Florida suburb--there's a lot within short driving distance, and a taco truck recently set up semi-permanently in the parking lot. (I haven't had a chance to try them yet.)

Tidal Brewing isn't much on atmosphere, but they make up for it with a solid bunch of beers. Tidal is located in an old, somewhat rundown strip mall that is next to an abandoned gas station. Some of the parking places were the actual gas pumps or former gas pumps. The inside is fine with an assortment of board games, tables, booths and a bar. The beer is really good. I asked for a flight, but they don't have flight boards. You can get as many 5 oz pours as you want in pint glasses. The only issue here is carrying 6-pint glasses to your booth. No biggie. I was a big fan of their Horchata Porter, Turbid Waters (hazy IPA) and the Dunkelweissen. Pretty tasty. There is no food onsite but there was a Marco's pizza in the strip mall, some shady looking food truck around the corner, and a Latin restaurant next door. If I was just judging on the beer, 4 stars. The server was nice and if I was a local, I'd be a regular.

Today I had the watermelon beer, which was beyond refreshing, and crisp. The board at the bar is updated daily and you can sample any of the beers upon request. This is a must go for anyone living or visiting the Ocala downtown.

Unfortunately for me I was looking for a brewery experience and Big Hammock is not that. They do have a good amount of local craft beers on tap which is a definite plus. They just didn't have any of their own beer. Maybe they are brewing, but if they are not, they should change the brewery in their name to brew pub because the name is definitely misleading. It is really awkward making this review, because I really did not get the full experience. I walked in, looked around, checked out the beer menu, asked if they had any of their own beers. When that answer was "no" I left. The end.
