There are so many positives about Nine State that it's hard to choose what I love best! Their beers are a great selection of tastes from light, sour and stouts! I especially love the cans to carry out because they're decorated with drawings be the grandchildren and they are just precious. The food is yummy and mostly Asian. The dumplings are my personal favorite. My husband especially loves the sangria - he is so very thrilled to be able to take me to a brewery and not just drink water or a soda. There are always events - live music, trivia night and fundraisers for worthy causes! Cool brewery in Inverness Florida. We stopped here on the way back to Tampa as there weren't too many breweries on the trip back and wanted to try something new. The name Nine state comes from the owners bring from up north and lived in nine different states before settling in Florida and opening the brewery. It has a really nice tasting room and bar area and a few tables outside. Overall the beer was pretty good. I had a flight of a peanut butter stout and three IPAs. My favorite beer here was the spicy IPA. It had good flavor with a bit of a bite. They do serve food here and that was one of the highlights. We had the steamed pork dumplings. They were delicious and you could tell they were freshly made. They also have Udon noodle bowl, bulgogi bowl, hot dog and pretzel bites. They also have different food specials, live music and events. They are only open Friday through Sunday. Staff was very friendly and helpful in choosing our beers. read more

My family really enjoyed going to Nine State Brewery today. They had a live band (The Survivors), great food, especially their tacos & gigantic pretzels & a relaxed environment. I was so excited to hear that Inverness got a brewery! Inside is a decent sized space with the brewhouse visible. They had about eight beers on tap as well as sangria on tap. I opted for the peanut butter stout and one of the IPAs. My sister got the pilsner and my mom got sangria. All of our beverages were good, the pilsner was crisp and clean, the sangria was sweet and bubbly with good flavor and my IPA and stout had good flavor too. They have a small menu which is Asian inspired but they also have hot dogs and big pretzels if you aren't an Asian food fan. They're only open a few days a week so it took me a while to get there but I'm happy I finally made it in! read more

LOCATION: Perfect and plenty of parking ATMOSPHERE: Gorgeous interior, plenty of sitting area, family feel, but a fun one at the same time. The place smelled good and was very clean. We were a little unsure, but after stopping in for some afternoon, beers and speaking with the owners mother who is the cook we were not disappointed. The food was fantastic!! This brewery has won multiple awards for their pumpkin beer and even though pumpkin beer is one of my least favorite beers ever I decided to try it. I was shocked, it was amazing! My husband and I visited on a slower, rainy night while visiting the area. The brewery is situated in the downtown Inverness area with plenty of street parking. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. The interior is spacious and they have a variety of beers on draft--from lagers, to Blondes, to IPAs, to stouts, etc. The owner was very friendly and offered for us to try beers before we ordered a larger size. My favorite beer was the Mirror Panel New England Style IPA. All around great brewery to visit when you're in the area. We will return! read more

Family owned and operated. The owners Mom welcomed us as if we were long lost friends and we had never been there before. We watched her welcome others back who frequented often. In fact we liked it so much my wife bought a t-shirt and this 5th generation Floridian never does. We loved the beer and the dumplings. The onion rings were good too. Nine State is the perfect home town spot that you visit with your friends and family on the weekend. The location is designed for groups to go out and be social with one another. They have fantastic blues music playing lightly in the background that you can enjoy while sipping your beer and having a conversation with your group. The seating area is open with a direct view of the brewing equipment. The owners operate the day to day business and are incredibly friendly. After visiting the brewery for a second time, they had my group memorized and welcomed us with positivity during every visit. The beer is incredible. Great little brewery in Inverness. Who would have thought. The IPA and Wit were both very tasty and we had a nice seat outside. Only "complaint" is the beer list is very heavy on high alcohol beers. Lots of imperials, doubles, etc. While we like these "big" beers, if you have to drive, it limits how many tasty beers you can have. read more
