I went to the Rockaway Mall to research the Apple IPhone Pro and IPhone Air at the Apple Store…read more While walking through the Mall I noticed the Gertrude Hawk Chocolate store. I have never tried Gertrude Hawk Chocolates and I needed a gift to bring with me this weekend. I was planning to stay at a friends condominium while skiing at Camelback in the Pennsylvania Pocono mountains.. My friend and his wife are also avid skiers. Gertrude Hawk began making chocolates at the age of 12 after her father passed away and the families household income needed help. Today, Gertrude Hawk Chocolates has stores in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. While browsing through the store at their many chocolate and candy options, I decided to get the "Milk & Dark Chocolate Assorted Truffles" (&19.99). I was offered a truffle on my stay. What can I say, I'm a truffle fanatic and never met a truffle I did not like. Online you can buy 1 lb. of Milk and Dark Assorted Chocolates for $29.99, Dark Chocolate Lovers Assorted for $21.99. and Neapolitan Whipped Cream for $19.99.

But in all honesty while I'm not really the biggest cookie guy, I am totally a chocolate kinda guy. Especially dark chocolate with coconut, peanut butter, or raspberry - c'mon now.   Just the simple phrase "We Have Gertrude Hawk Chocolates For Sale!!" will start my mouthwatering uncontrollably. Not to mention what goes off in my head when I hear the word "Smidgens"  yes   Yes   YES !!  My reply is always the same "lemme grab my wallet."  Hey it's all good, if you wanna hand deliver me the YUMMMMMMERS we now have what's known in business as "mutual respect." Except for that one nasty kid in the corner house who took my money and never looked back, yeah that's alright Johnny I know where you live, Lol.   Then one day I was over at the Rockaway Mall and noticed they had a Gertrude Hawk Store which made things alot easier for me to get my Smidgen Fix on. I mean I'll still support all the local kids whenever they're doing their fundraising events. Well actually all of the kids expect for one.  Sorry Johnny you blew it. Come And Get Your Chocolate Munch On!!

So soft so delicious! I had the 7 fishes dish omg so big so good. I loved it so much. Hubby had his favorite shrimp and scallops in a lobster sauce over spaghetti. It's so good he won't even try anything else. Desert was also so good. If you get a chance to try the blueberry cake please do so. It's the best ever. 4 Seasons never disappoints! Merry Christmas and see you again very soon.

From the moment you walk in and the owner, Abe, greets you from the bar with "Welcome Home", this restaurant is inviting and very cozy. On a cold January Saturday night, it felt like the perfect place to be. There's a full bar and let me tell you, the drinks are fantastic here. On this night, I loved the espresso martini. If you like sangria, I've had some of my favorites here. The food menu is large with plenty of options. I went with the Chicken Special and my wife had the St. Peter's fish. The food is cooked and prepared so well, just delicious! Even the desserts are not to be missed. I had a cappuccino and the homemade Tres Leches cake. Amazing! I guess you can tell I like this place. If you're in the area, give it a try!

I won't be coming back to this location due to the rising cost and decline in service. I'm really…read morenot sure why things are so challenging for this location, but today was the last bad experience after giving them another chance. I placed a mobile order at 10:57 with an estimated ready time of 11:10. I got there a few minutes before my drink should have been ready and waited by the counter. By 11:15 I stopped an employee to ask about the status of my drink order, just a venti iced mocha, nothing complicated and not a large order. I didn't see anything that looked like my drink being made behind the counter. They checked and said the "ticket was pulled" so it should be ready soon. By 11:20 my drink still hadn't been made. While I was waiting I noticed someone had left a cold, half made drink on the counter behind the bar, but no one had returned to complete it in over 10 minutes. It didn't look like mine because it was too light to be an iced mocha. The employee saw me still waiting by 11:25 and assured me she had seen the tag on the counter and they were making it. Well, a few minutes later someone put "my" order on the mobile shelf and thankfully I caught the employees attention. After waiting over 20 minutes they decided the abandoned drink left on the counter was mine, delayed for no obvious reason, and made incorrectly. I told the employee who set it down that I didn't think it was what I ordered because it had no mocha syrup in it. For whatever reason, no matter whether I place my order in person or through the app for an iced mocha, this location makes a white mocha 2 out of 3 times. They remade the drink correctly for me in less than 2 minutes with no acknowledgment that I waited over 25 minutes for a simple mobile order. I can't give this location another chance, they haven't improved and keep making mistakes, don't seem to be prioritizing service, and make simple orders incorrectly. I finally got into my car at 11:30. What a waste of time and money.

Wisely, the area by the handoff plane has only one table, pushed far away from the counter. A long bench is located on the south side of the store, dotted with five round tables that each feature a wooden chair on the outside. The baristas do work at greeting you coming and going, which helps the place feel welcoming.

My daughter is obsessed with the spicy jambalaya arancini and I can see why. They are the perfect size, with rice, sausage, spice and are just yummy goodness. There were 4, so we let her have 2. She ordered the Thai chicken lettuce wraps. You can never go wrong with the wraps! Hubby got a cup of the cream of chicken soup. He said the veggies were a little too crunchy but overall flavorful. For lunch he ordered the veggie burger and sweet potato fries. It was a bit pricey. I went with the Peruvian chicken bowl. Two pieces of chicken, white rice, plantains, veggies and sauce. Yum! We of course loved the brown bread and butter but saved just a bit of room for a piece of Reese's PB chocolate cheesecake. Get it! We were all silent as we ate it which is the sound of a happy tummy!

But the line to just get deserts was open. Just some door dash workers getting their order. The worker asked us if he could help us and we provided our order. Two cheesecakes to go. Then he had me pay and when he printed the receipt for me to sign, there was an open space to add for a tip. I typically don't tip when getting an order for take out. The worker looked at the receipt and smirked. We then received a stapled bag with our desserts. My wife opened it when we returned to the car and noticed the cheesecake slices were very small. Almost half of the pieces that were on display. Note: The two cheesecakes cost $24. I believe once the worker noticed no tip for our take out order, he deliberately gave us the smallest pieces. The restaurant manager should look into this to avoid future customer service issues like the one we experienced today. If you do use this restaurant, take notice and open the bag to inspect the food before you leave. Or just give a big tip to avoid it all together
