So cute, they offer a mini library card you can hang on your keychain. It's big, with two floors, and includes clean restrooms, meeting rooms for community events, a plant seed library, study rooms, a children's section, printers and computers, and a makerspace for 3D printing (must sign a waiver beforehand). Sometimes a book sale. It's not that fancy, with no cafe inside like other libraries have in the rich area. Most of the books are outdated from the 2010s; only a few novels are updated to the past few years. I wish they offered more up-to-date design books on topics like User Experience Design and AI, which I read as a refresher in multimedia design. You can borrow up to six books for over two weeks, and they automatically renew the next return date. I prefer to read three per month to be considerate. Scanning several books at the kiosk is easier and faster than a checkout line. They do have great access to free online resources such as audiobooks, music streaming, Hoopla Digital (Netflix dupe), and full access to magazines and newspapers without subscriptions. You can also use your library card to get free passes to certain museums and galleries across the Bay Area on Discover & Go. Sometimes they might have National Park passes to Yosemite, which you have to check with the library first around May. Plus, they offer free seminars like resume writing from Ohlone College, filing taxes, and family activities for kids. There's even a glasses donation box courtesy of the Lions Club International. Lots of parking in front with easy access to Lake Elizabeth, pickleball courts, and the Fremont Police Department. I also love that they provide a library locker near Irvington Community Park and Warm Spring Community Center, where you can pick up books that you reserved online with your library account, which is so convenient to walk to from home. You can drop your books in the return box next to the lockers. I don't have to drive to the main library to avoid silly children and encounter homeless people lying near the return box.

They assessed the situation, immediately offered pain medication, splinted my foot, and gently placed me on a gurney, all while someone held my hand firmly. Their kindness and genuine concern helped ease my suffering. During the ride to ER, the fireman that stayed with me had positive words of encouragement and kept me smiling with his humor. Our conversation kept me distracted and his words of wisdom still resonate with me. They even had the foresight to have my husband remove my jewelry in case surgery was required, which it was. I wish I had asked for individual names so I could thank each fireman/woman personally. Once I'm able to get around, I plan to stop in for a visit. I'm so proud to live in Fremont and truly feel we have some of the best fire and police force in the state.

As we go through our day to day lives trying to navigate the chaos of Covid19 and the changes it is bringing... Isolation, quarantines and fears. Learning to stay 6 feet away from our fellow human beings. These first responders are still showing up to their jobs to help others and I am sure they are facing the same fears as the rest of us... The 3 men that showed up to help my father were the kindest, most professional skilled & respectful worker's you could ask for. Kudos to them all for treating my father with kindness & respect. They went so far above & beyond! My family is most appreciative. They even asked if they could clean up the broken pot so there was no sharp mess, who does that? They did! We are so grateful for their help. In all the commotion I didn't get their names so all of our gratitude goes to all of the Fremont fire departments and Falck Alameda county ambulance services. Out of nowhere, I was unexpectedly attacked by a strange young man wielding a propane torch. It was a terrifying and bizarre experience, but the officers arrived promptly and handled the situation flawlessly. They quickly apprehended the individual, conducted a highly professional interview, and safely guided me through identifying him. Throughout the entire process, their calm and reassuring presence helped me feel completely protected and safe. I am incredibly grateful for their swift action and professionalism during such a frightening incident! I certainly respect and want to honor the Fremont police and specifically Officer Chris Thompson and Officer R. Hensley!

Absolutely unprofessional, would not recommend. Call your county sheriff if possible. Fremont Police are master deceivers in uniform masquerading as heroes. Do not be tricked. They are not here to help you. They are here to help themselves. Their salaries are public, most cases well over $180K. There is no reason for them to risk their salary for a stranger, and of course they do not.

I've noticed it's become less diverse and a lot different. Still a cool place to visit, not the hub of entertainment, but safe and quiet for the most part. It has a beautiful landscape as most cities in the bay that run along the foothills and bodies of water at the same time.
